Would like the ability to have a configurable admin role, or at least a separate tier of admin with lesser permissions. For example, we have nearly 6000 Miro users (& growing daily) at our company whom generate a lot of lower-level admin type work (trouble ticket resolution, repeatable tasks, etc). The only people able to complete these tasks are Company Admins which because of the inherent permission levels is too much access to give to someone working in a helpdesk type role.We would use this lower tier of an admin role to:Troubleshoot login issues when JIT fails (add / remove users) Setting up new Miro teams and assigning new team admins to those teams Auditing / changing board permissions when boards are improperly shared Restoring deleted boardsWe would like to continue to only allow Company Admins to have access to things like:Configuring the security setup (SSO / SAML configuration) Having extended content admin privileges (we currently have this enabled in our tenant) Appro
Hi, email@example.com isn’t not a valid adress. How can I report a bug if I don’t have a paid account ? Since yesterday the dashboard and boards are not loading anymore on Chrome. I tried everything from this article https://help.miro.com/hc/en-us/articles/360017731413-Bugs-troubleshooting It's working on a private Chrome page and on Microsoft Edge however I cannot work with that browser on a daily basis. Also when the board cannot be open in the browser, a new tab cannot even be openned in the windows app. I have saved the log files however, since free account cannot open a ticket.Does it means that from now on I would only be able to access to my board in a private Chrome tab? Please let me know what can you do Kind regards
This seems essential to me in the culture of feedback.Perhaps I'm going to sound particularly impatient.miro workers may feel this is a waste of time.Community leaders at miro may be "hurt" by my message. What I'm trying to express. Please come and show us that what we are offering you is used for something with a little more than the questions of collecting needs.Challenge us. Most of us are people who have the same product management and facilitation experiences in OUR field with YOUR tool.Invest time in our exchanges. On left of dashboard, we have a list of projectThis list is sort by alpha. The idea to keep it KISSChoose “separator” (perhaps configurable if some account have already this symbol in a project name.If I create the following list of project group 1 - project 1 group 1 - project 2 group 1 - project 3 group 2 group 2 - project 1 group 2 - project 2 group 3 - project 1 group 4 - subgroup 1 - project 1 group 4 - subgroup 1 - project 2 group 4 - subgroup 2 - project 1 It’s display group 1 > group 2 > group 3 - project 1 group 4 > If I click on group 1I see< < project 1 project 2 project 3 If I click on group 2as group 2 exist, it’s both board container and sub-project containerI see< < group 2 project 1 project 2If I click on group 4I see< < subgroup 1 > subgroup 2 - project 1Like this, it’s really portable, it’s only an interface hack.but still a list of project with a literal name.So yes, to rename group 4, I need to rename 3 projects… but it’s “simple”(a
Hi dear miro team.Maybe you can consider providing your users with a search URL that would be used for setting up a search engine for miro in google chrome. Eg. here's the one for jira: https://smileco.atlassian.net/secure/QuickSearch.jspa?searchString=%sIt's super convenient, bc in this case users can search in miro directly from the browser without having to open the website or installing any apps. Thanks
As a creator, I want to be able to more quickly and more accurately change the position of two items, So that I don’t accidentally impact other elements on my board.Essentially, what Figma do with their smart selector (see: https://www.figma.com/blog/introducing-smart-selection/) Often when working on diagrams, my team and I decide we want to change one of our objects. When we remove an item in the diagram, it means that we then have to reconnect all of the other objects, and hope that we haven’t missed anything. This is okay (albeit slow) for simple, linear diagrams, but when we have more complex diagrams, making a change can mean we didn’t connect everything.
I set up the Jira Cards as Miro & Jira Admin and it generally works. i.e. one can choose jira issues to add them as jira cards on a board etc. however if someone tries to convert a sticky note to a jira issue, the reporter and assignee fields cannot be filled. you can start typing but only 0 of 0 matches are shown. I checked the Jira FAQ and set the permissions on the reporter field in jira accordingly. also the same user can modify the fields when this user accesses or creates an issue on jira directly. the bizarre thing is, that someone who has the Jira Org Admin role can modify the assignee & reporter fields on Miro in Jira cards. so it nevertheless seems to have something to do with permissions that are not the same if a user accesses an issue within jira or via jira cards from miro…who knows where to look in Jira or Miro to set the proper settings / permissions?I already tried to uninstall and re-install / connect jira cards which didn’t help.
I’ve just started using Miro and loving it.I work with a large team and being able to collaborate this way, in one central space, is just what we need.In a perfect world, it would be great if we could easily translate this collaboration into client-ready presentations, without having to then rebuild everything in Google Slides/Powerpoint/InDesign.Yes, there are frames, and yes I know I can reorder them, but the functionality is quite basic. Sometimes our presentations can run hundreds of pages long. Here’s a wish-list of presentation ideasFrames dimensions you can set more precisely. Being able to see the dimensions as you drag the frame helps, but it’s a bit cumbersome. What if I want an 11x17 frame that prints at 150ppi? I need to find an online calculator to figure out those dimensions and then painfully drag my mouse to get the exact pixels I need. A full screen thumbnail view of all frames to easily re-order frames The ability to create blocks/symbols/repeating elements that appear
When I add new users to Miro I add them under our “default” company team. If applicable I also add them to other teams.Often Miro users are given links to boards within my department’s Miro team because they’re participating in a project we’re leading. However, I don’t add those users to our team, they only need to see a board or two for that project. Those project boards are shared “Anyone with the link can edit” and they’re password protected.I had a project participant ask me today, “how can I navigate to our project board within Miro?” He shared his screen with me and showed that he only sees our company team and there’s no list of “boards shared with him”.Could users have a view of “boards shared with me” or a “favorites” list? Something that would help them to quickly navigate to boards from their Miro dashboard?
Our team LOVES Miro and we’re not only evangelizing it within our organization, but within our network of peers as well. It would be cool if we could have a referral URL or QR code we could share with folks outside our organization and receive some sort of incentive for referring Miro to our peers. Maybe some Miro swag, or a discount on our annual bill?
Hi there,I am trying to upload an app icon that is not black filled but has just the outlines. But when I import my svg, it always turns black even if reviewing the file, it isnt.Is there any way to just delete the outline icon? How can I solve this problem? Cheers, Leonard :)Original: What miro does to it: What it looks like on the board:
I created a shape with some text and when I have the shape selected I get the ‘create comment’ option. When I create the comment from that shape then move the shape, the comment does not follow. When I look at my comment there is not a reference to what object the comment belongs to.I do not want to use sticky notes or pin it, I use comments to see detail info I do not want cluttering the board with a lot of text.Should be functionality that allows you to keep the comment associated to the object and when you move an object it moves with it.Anyone know how to do this?
As a new Diagram Library I would love ArchiMate. Oy shouldn't be that hard, as many of the shapes and all of the lines are already there. I personally wouldn't mind and think it might even be wiser if Miro doesn't concern itself with 'validity checking', i. e. which lines go with which shapes. The only thing that you would have to really think about is how to find an intuitive way to handle aggregation/composition, which is what I currently mostly struggle with with my makeshift ArchiMate templates.
Curious if any Miro community members out there are attending Smartsheet Engage next week; would be great to kick it at the conference, geeking out on solutions achieved via the two platforms (and whatever else you use in your technology stack). We could raise a glass to keeping both sides of the brain active while simultaneously numbing a few brain cells with alcohol :). Additionally, there’s a session Wednesday at 4:00pm, Miro + Slack + Smartsheet = Project Nirvana.Feel free to reply in this thread or even message me via the conference app. I set my profile to public. Hope to find a new friend!
Hey there, I’ve been using Miro to help co-ordinate a small team of developers on a volunteer project for a while now. We’ve been making great use of the comment function, however a few days ago, they stopped showing up for just me, except when I’m scrolling in and out on the Miro board. I’ve tried different browsers, cleared my cache, nothing seems to fix it. We’d been using the board for a good few months before this issued arose, and none of the rest of the team seem to be suffering from it.Anyone in the community got any ideas what may be causing it?
I’m new to the program, so just finding my way around. Is it possible to hide my cursor when the board is embedded on a website? Every time I access the board to edit through the app, my name and cursor show up on the site page.I can see the show/hide collaborator arrow button, but this does not do anything for the live site.If not, then I guess it will be a hide, edit and republish jobby on the site. Many thanks!
Hi Miro community,Our plan was upgraded to enterprise recently and I was wondering why visitors cannot add their name anymore. I´m also the company admin and I have not found any settings to enable this feature again. There was no problem in the past when we were using the conultant plan. Since we are using miro with clients (anyone with the link → can edit) quite often plus with large groups the visitor-name-feature was a big plus. It would not be an alternative to invite those persons as “guests” or something else.Any ideas? Thanks!
