When pinching with two fingers on the Magic Keyboard trackpad, the workspace doesn’t zoom in or out. Instead, the entire Miro app window is being resized.

Use iPad Pro 13 with Magic Keyboard

Seeing the same issue. Not just magic keyboard...Logitech also has the same behavior.

Hi @Marcelo Lopez,

Thanks for commenting your experience!

I have your comment converted into a support ticket so this can be investigated further. Please check your inbox for support’s response.

@AlexD, could you please confirm if you are still experience this issue? If yes, please let me know so I can do the same for your case.

Hope this issue can be fix soon. I am using logitech combo touch folio.

Same issue on iPad Pro with magic keyboard

Thanks @Meng_Chieh Lin and @Trevor Haldenby for jumping in on this thread!

As per the reply of support in @Marcelo Lopez’s ticket, the team is still working on this internally and conducting tests. Thank you for your patience! I’ll monitor the ticket and I will update this thread as soon as i heard back from them.

Thank you for the update.  This is GREAT news for a product I’d love to love using on my iPad!

Still not working! :(

Any updates @Eca ? Thank you!!

Still not working, and this one tricked me as well.

When I use the trackpad for zooming, it zooms the entire canvas, and then the pointer gets all screwed (I click on a note, for instance, and a different object is selected, as apparently the coordinates are all wonky).

There’s an easy fix… just unzoom again with the trackpad, but until I realized that, I had to restart miro many many times (and I still do out of frustration)

“easy fix” makes it sound like there is a fix to the core issue, which is incorrect — I suspect the way the Miro board is being drawn into a window is non-compliant or using an undocumented API.

Any update @Eca ? At this point, as head of procurement, I am strongly encouraging my mobile-first org to switch from Miro to Mural but will continue to inquire as long as we are a paying customer.

Hi everyone,

Thank you for your patience while the engineers were reviewing your cases!

According to the team, this issue seems to be related to the iPadOS bug, which is the default behavior for trackpads, and multiple apps were affected by it, including Google Maps and Figma. This issue, unfortunately, is not controllable by Miro, as the issue should be addressed by Apple.

Let me know if you have questions—we'll do our best to help!

Of note… Google Maps works just fine using pinch-zoom on the trackpad.    So it doesn’t seem like the devs have to wait for Apple to do something.

Please circle back on this and let us know if this can be fixed soon.

Thanks!

Hi @KrisLewis,

Thank you for the additional detail—it's really helpful!

Given that Google Maps works fine with trackpad pinch-zoom, we’ll escalate this issue to our support team for further investigation. This will help ensure we explore all possibilities and see if there’s something Miro can adjust on our end.

I’ll follow up once I have more information. In the meantime, if you notice any other details or have further questions, feel free to reach out.

Thanks again for your patience!

Hi @Eca

I’d like to point out that this issue doesn’t exist in the Figma app for iPad — only the workspace is zoomed. Please check this.

Hi @AlexD, thank you so much for circling back and sharing that insight!

I’ll go ahead and convert your comment into a support ticket so the team can take a closer look. Please keep an eye on your inbox for a reply from them soon!
