Text - Full control over padding of text within shapesOpen

Miro’s functionality of changing the padding based on scale is not controllable and often ends up with unwelcome results.  Would prefer if I can set the padding/margins per side of shape so that I can control the look and style of my drawings.

Hide columns and rows in tableOpen

It would be great if I could hide individual columns or rows in a table, in the same way the hide/reveal works for Frames.I sometimes use tables in workshops with stakeholders, and it can be beneficial to prepare a table beforehand and then reveal certain parts at a later point.One use case is e.g. having a table of features on a product roadmap, the stakeholders fill in the MoSCoW priority, and then I can reveal the developers’ estimations in another column, that have been gathered beforehand.The current workaround is to work with several copies of a table, which is not so nice when the data gets changed during the workshop.

How to restore the boards of a downgraded user?

My colleauge left the company in February, 2024 and we simply stopped paying his account. Now we’d like to restore his boards. We can log in but we can’t access any of his boards, except the ones that are shared with him. Now it’s September, is there any chance to have them back?

Is an App only active, when it is open in the side panel?

Hello everyone,I am new to the Miro development and have a basic question that I need to be solved once and for all: Do I understand correctly that my Miro app can only do things on the board when it is actively open in the side panel?For example: If I want to build an app that changes the viewport when an event happens on the board, I can get that event information using webhooks. But if I want to react to this event, I have to send a command to a Web SDK, e.g. via WebSockets. But this WebSDK app is only active when it is open in the side panel. Please help me understand this fundamental basic of developing for miro. Thanks a lot!

Boards living in multiple spacesOpen

Can we have the ability to have live boards living in multiple spaces? Different from duplicating a board. The original board, maintained and updated by the author, but having the ability for the shared users to organize them in their spaces, separate from the original author.

Option to Change Board Background Color for Individual Users Only (Dark Mode and Custom Backgrounds)Open

I use Miro to collaborate on projects and share ideas with my team. However, I find it challenging with the current color scheme, especially in low-light environments or during extended use sessions, where a dark mode or customizable background color could be very beneficial.A possible solution would be:Add a setting in Board Settings that allows individual users to change the board background color just for themselves, without affecting the visual experience for other collaborators on the board. Additionally, including a "Dark Mode" option would be excellent for those who prefer working with a color scheme that's easier on the eyes.

it would be awesome if we could edit the speech bubble (or other objects) - e.g the little tail of the bubble can be dragged to other corners of the bubble, not just having to flip the whole thing in order to point to source of quote.

Switching between accountsOpen

Hi there, Now you have the switching between teams.  However, it’s related only to the teams inside of the one profile.  In my specific case, I use two profiles: one is work-related, and the second one is personal.  The solution I find right now is to work with the professional profile in the Mac OS app, while for personal needs, I use the browser version. It works, but it’s not a perfect option. Sometimes, when I need to copy-paste some of my templates from the board in one profile to the board in another - I struggle because it’s just impossible to do.  The reference here can be Slack with the team spaces that can be joined with different emails. TImeline - adding months and milestonesDuplicate Idea (closed)

It would be useful to be able to represent a plan in Timeline that can be delineated by months. The current functionality means a timeline over several months doesn’t fit on the screen and isn’t very usable in online meetings.  In addition, the ability to add a milestone as well as a task would be useful. The tool can be used to plan and present the high-level view of a project plan.

Can I remove the gif app?

Hello, I was hoping to use Miro with groups of children through my workplace. We recently looked at the gifs app and discovered that some of the gifs that can be used are not appropriate for our young users. It would be incredible if I could remove this feature, but there does not seem to be an option to do so. Has anyone came across a way to do this?Any help would be appreciated :)

New Timeline: Setting for month and quarterly viewOpen

The new timeline feature is pretty cool and good looking but if you add a bigger timeframe it gets too large for roadmap definition with the settings only for days and weeks. It would be great if I could set also the view for monthly or quarterly view.

Timeline interactive widget: Change the date format to yyyy-mm-ddOpen

Because date formats don’t already spark enough debate, I’ll share my thoughts on the date format of the new Timeline widget: I am confused and saddened by this. Miro already used yyyy-mm-dd with Cards, and that was the only other native Miro object with a structured date field. So, there was only one format, but now there are two.And on top of that, the date format is more ambiguous as mm.dd.yyyy commonly used, so now extra cognitive load by forcing the user to have to question the date format (with yyyy-mm-dd, there should be less-to-no questioning as yyyy-mm-dd is not a standard date format).On top of all of this, there is no placeholder text for the date field, nor any sort of help text to indicate the format that is being displayed, e.g.:is 05.03.2024 May 3 or March 5?As per the title of this wish list post, please change the Timeline widget’s date fields to yyyy-mm-dd, i.e., consistent with Cards.

Add/Edit Generate summary Doc - AI feature

See pic below… this came from a template… but how do I edit the parameters of the Generate Summary Doc button (i.e. add or subtract what it is using as input...the sticky notes theme section in the template. The template has 4 theme stick sections, lets say I wanted 6)And, how do I re-create this on a different board (without importing or copying from the template)?

How do I change the size of the box in the org chart template

The box for people in the org chart are very wide resulting in a super wide org chart. How do I make the boxes more narrow? There are no white dots on the individuals boxes.

[KNOWN BUG] Miro table cells changing opacity

In some of my Miro tables I change cell color and opacity to highlight contents.Have done this in the same way for a while and it has always worked without any problems.Now, when changing a cell it looks fine, but when I then continue to change the next cell, the first one drops back to the old opacity (the new color is kept). The same goes if I change several cells at once (works well), but when I continue with one or several more the first ones drops back to the old opacity.An annoying new feature, or what has changed???

Lost my board (Free Plan, no link)

Hi, I am a user with free plan, and I have been working solo on my board for a while. Today I got notification that I need to create a team and after I created it, I could not find my old board any more. I red the article describing the recovery process by finding the URL in our browsing history or email but I have none. I never sent the link to anyone and my job IT security clean up histories regularly so there is nothing to be found there. What can I do? Being on a free plan, I can’t even check a trash bin to see if it was accidentally put there.I am very concerned my hard work just disapeared on me.

Twitter Integration

It would absolutely transformative for me if I was able to paste Twitter links into Miro and have them appear as tweets. There's just so much information available on Twitter, yet I have to take screenshots to represent it. Maybe not critical to others, but this is critical to me. If Miro isn't able to undertake this development, I would be most grateful for some contact details for developers that might be able to undertake this (paid) work for me. Thanks!

Pictures disappear or not showing

Hi,I uploaded pictures on my miro board and they are now not appearing.Instead there is a grey scare. Are my pictures recoverable or lost? Are there specific ways to upload pictures for this not to happen or is it a bug from Miro?Thanks!

Random box in Production Timeline

Whenever I try to create a Timeline I constantly get this empty box. If someone selects it, it can get stuck permanently as grey on other screens but not consistently.Steps to ReproduceCreate a Timeline on a board Set the date range between 11th Nov 2024 to the 31st Jan 2025 Drag a select box around the center of the timelineThis always results in an invisible box appearing between the 15th and 21st of December. If I try to delete this box it will delete one of the rows instead but the box will still remain. If all rows are deleted then it disappears but will reappear after the second or third row is created.  Is this happening to anyone else?

Is there a way to disable automated Miro Board Thumbnail icons / clip art?Open

 Does anyone know if there is a way to permanently disable auto populating Miro board thumbnails with clip art?This is a fairly new feature and It’s not working for me. The icons are childish, IMO, and the icons have zero relevance to content and therefore aren’t helpful. I would prefer the legacy generic soft gray placeholder thumbnails to the new icons. Also, it’s an extra step now for me because I have to manually remove or replace these with the old icons every time I create a new board—until I’m ready to create a meaningful content capture image. If turning off this feature is not doable, I recommend to Miro team to review this feature and find out if customers actually wanted this feature in the first place.  Thanks, M. Boards with auto-filled thumbnail icons (current Miro default)Boards with placeholder thumbnail icons (legacy Miro default)

There is a Limit for embed preview thumbnail that are not showing in miro ?I pasted many URL Links that became nice preview thumbnail but recently it doesn’t work anymore, it just paste the URL Link as a text not a preview thumbnail anymore, there is a limit for this feature ? I have to copy/paste images and make text link etc that is heavy and troublesome, do you guys have any solution please ?
