I’m investigating the possibility to create (e.g., via PowerShell code leveraging the Miro REST API) a bidirectional link between a Miro Mind Map and Jira tickets.This would need adding a custom “Jira ticket ID” property to each of the nodes in the Miro Mind Map.I’m trying to use the PATCH method on a mindmap_node, but this doesn’t seem to be supported (“Operation not supported”, status 400).Have a hit a dead end (Custom attributes for Mindmap node | Miro is 2 years old, maybe this is now possible)?

I want to read and manipulate mind maps using the miro_api package, and the only way to authenticate appears to be through OAuth, and using that for development a local machine is a royal pain.Why am I forced to do the OAuth song and dance to authenticate? Most other platforms, such as Linear and Confluence, allow me to create an API token with a single click, and then I can just access them with a Python script, without spinning up web servers and other OAuth nonsense.Surely it should be up to me how much security I require at a given point?Or is there a way to generate a static API token, and I just couldn’t find it?

Hi!I'm on an Education Plan and I'm the team owner. In the team member list, I can see that one of the users has the label “contenido creado: 11 tableros” (created content: 11 boards) under their profile.However, I have no idea where these boards are.When I go to All boards and filter to show all boards in the team, I only see the ones owned by me — I don’t see any boards created or owned by other members.There’s no option to click on the “11 tableros” text or view a list of boards created by that person.In Team Settings, there is also no filter by board owner, and I don’t have access to the Admin Console since I'm on the Education Plan.I’d like to: Understand which boards were created by this user Know if there’s any way for a team owner to see all boards created by other members on the Education Plan Clean up and manage our workspace better Thanks a lot in advance — I’ve looked everywhere and can’t figure this out!

Short version:Lots of issues with GIFs. Have witnessed many GIF related changes over the past months that are dramatically affecting my teams experience with Miro as a tool.Long Version:I’m an art lead on a game development team. We are using Miro to share and review animation. Due to various quirks with embedding video we’ve been using gifs for the past year+ in Miro - they allow you the easiest method to 1. swiftly drag/drop an image on a board, 2. view a short clip of animation while staying in the board (not having to navigate away). 3. See a reference image, so at glance you know what you are about to watch. 4. Being able to view two animations side by side for contrast/comparison/critique. Over the past couple months we’ve seen pretty dramatic changes to how gifs are handled. Its been frustrating.  GIF size limitation dropped to 5mb which broke entire boards and prevented review sessions (only to notice this had changed a few weeks later after we had dramatically tried to downsiz

Hi,For some reason, I can no longer copy and paste, or duplicate the timeline element template I’ve been using. It shows the “aw, snap” icon and I can’t do anything with it.Any idea why this might be and how to resolve?Thanks,N

Hi there!Long time user here. Description of my issue: performance is bad on my large board (currently around 1300 objects). It’s worse on Firefox than Chrome (firefox: the zoom and dezoom is really bad). Both equally are bad when it comes to adding a new object or editing text, with a serious 0.5 to 1sec freeze.I did read the thread about performance, and the possible solutions. Cleared cache, and reviewed the image sizes. For info, I do use a lot of tiny images, and made sure to flatten in small size most of them.My question is: I tried using synced groups in an attempt to lower even more the memory usage (my train of thought is: if I use one image and it’s instanced several times and synced, in theory the memory usage, or at least the bandwidth shall be only for the one image). Turn out the gains are minimal or nonexistent.At this point, I have no real solutions. Except maybe slicing parts of that board into another board, flattenning one JPG file out of it, and importing it again?…

Miro seems to maintain all our old employees and associates accounts on their system even though we delete them from our company account. This is an issue for security and clarity in offboarding people. If they used their email and a password to access their account, rather than single sign in/OAuth using Google, they would still have access and not be locked out. I understand that this is not the case on the enterprise plan but in my opinion should be a feature on the basic plan too. 

Hi,I noticed after the recent update that Page Up/Down to change image/item order is no longer functioning as desired. In addition, images and text will be placed behind Frames, which is not good. Previously Frames were always at ‘0’ order and items could not be placed behind them - which is ideal. 

I’m a Uni student and I need to edit a board I own but because I’m currently maxed out cause of the free trial that I can edit, I want to leave boards that I do not own nor do I use or have ever used but i can’t is there a way to do that without having to ask each one to manually kick me out

Hi, Could anyone advise how I get this box down from my Miro board: It won’t let me edit anymore, instead it keeps trying to make new boxes. I’m certain my butter fingers managed to get this up so I don’t know what I’ve done to get it there to remove it - Google search is reaping no solutions either. Any help would be great as I don’t want to delete the board and start again

Copy paste from Google Table to Miro – transforming in sticky notes is not working. A couples of days ago it just worked fine. Can anybody help?

I have multiple members of my team showing as active/no problems on my end, but on their end, they are deactivated and to contact me for recovery access. I do NOT have the “block deactivated accounts” setting toggled. What else am I missing so they can log back in and access their boards? We are not on an enterprise plan and have up to date billing info, etc.

I am trying to recreate existing board to another one through the API and I have encountered a problem.It is not possible to create app card that has less than 256 width through the API.Documentation doesn’t say anything about limits and it is possible to do that on the board.

Hi, after the holidays I lost access to a table I created in my own board. The table is greyed out and there is a text saying “You do not have permission to view this data”. This does not make sense to me, as I am the board owner, created the table myself in this very Miro-Board. When I click on “Request Access” no Email is sent to my Mail-Account. Is there a way to recover access to the Table?

I used to have an account on Miro, and I created some drawings there. However, my company changed the email domain, and I lost access to Miro. I still have the links to the drawings, but every time I click on them, I can't open. Is there any way to recover the drawings?

 How can I insert an intermediate step in a mindmap? I already have a wide map with various branches now I like to subdivide and insert a subtopic. The image shows exemplary my problem. One annoying approach would be to create a new branch and write each step again… I guess you have some smarter solution?I appreciate your comments and support.    

My colleague would like to recover a board (in the free version) which is locked. is it possible to switch the locked board with another one that is still available so he can export it?

Hi I have someone create my miro boards for me, which also involved locking the boards. I want the boards to be Protected Lock so the person creating the boards is the owner. When she transfers the board ownership to me, it seems that I, despite now being the owner, can’t unlock items? Is this correct? I would have thought that with the change of ownership came the ability to unlock protected items? If it doesn’t it means I have to do all my own locking, which I’d really rather not! Any answers? thanksNina

Are sections only available if you are using the Miro application?  I don’t see them in the web view.
