Does any know where I can find information on how to add a horizontal swim lane shape to a board with an API? I am specifically asking about the Miro native shape.

Say multiple Miro Users have created a Talk Track to walk through a specific journey in a Miro board and their Miro account is eventually deleted - will the talk track they recorded cease to exist/ be deleted with their account or will it remain in the Miro Board?

Hi, I’ve been using the Miro MCP connector well for the past week or so and today I’m getting this error code. Is anyone else getting this? Does the Miro team have an update on this? 

Hi There, I am currently on someone else’s Miro Team (I believe they have a business account). I currently only have the free account and would like to upgrade to a Starter Plan for myself. I would like to know if the boards I created as a part of that person’s team could transfer over to my upgraded account/if they were to stop their account would it delete the boards that are attached. Could you please assist in any way  Thanks, Mika

Hi, I was login into Miro using my student email, unfortunately most of the features are locked. Then I applied for the free education plan, and it seems that the process is successfully accepted but still when I access and log in, all the features still locked.I am wondering if both accounts have the same email username, how to access the education one and move my old boards to it.Thanks in advance.regards, Lama 

Hi Miro team! 👋I frequently run workshops using Miro alongside Zoom breakout rooms. During these sessions, participants are completely focused on their Miro boards, leaving Zoom running in the background just for audio.Because Zoom isn't the active window, nobody sees the text broadcasts I send to the breakout rooms. (I avoid audio broadcasts because they can feel abrupt and weird).What I really need is a way to make announcements directly inside the active Miro board. It would be amazing if the facilitator could send a message that flashes or pops up near the timer, letting participants know there's an update while they work.For example: During a 20-minute activity, I might unhide a specific frame for the last 5 minutes and need to tell everyone to move there. How can I notify them without closing the breakout rooms? Right now, my workaround is creating a giant sticky note and dropping it right over their group boards to literally block their view and force them to read my message! \ud83d

Hi There, I am currently part of an Educational plan (I believe) where I am part of someone else’s Miro Team. I have made a board with only my account to access it (no one else in the team can), however I would like to create another account and upgrade to a Starter Plan but still keep my boards. Is there any way I can transfer over these boards to the upgraded new account? I have tried sharing the board with the new account but I can’t do that unless the new account is in the same team. Please assist  Thanks, Mika

I’d like to use Miro board to create architecture diagrams for Oracle Cloud (OCI). I can see AWS , Azure, Google icon library listed under “More Shapes”, but I do not see for Oracle OCI.Now the question is how do I  import Oracle OCI icons into Miro so I can create architecture diagrams using these icons?From this link https://docs.oracle.com/en-us/iaas/Content/General/Reference/graphicsfordiagrams.htm, I see Oracle provides three different icon library formats ( ppt, draw.io and viso) . Can I use any of these to import into Miro board and start using them? 

Hello - I’ve had a Miro account since (I think) at least 2021, and have created boards under the free version of Miro that I’ve been able to access as recently as late last year. Today I tried to sign into Miro and was prompted to “create a team” - after I created a team I was no longer able to access any of the boards that I had created previously, my Miro is just empty. I’ve read through related help guides on the topic - I don’t believe that I was creating boards under anyone else’s “team”, as this was a personal account that I opened for my own use. I may have at some point invited a collaborator to a board, but I’m unsure as I can’t access or track these old boards anymore. I don’t have a paid plan so I can’t access the trash bin. Any suggestions on how to recover my old boards? 

I use Miro Windows desktop and browser on a daily basisRoughly once pr month the Desktop fails to load. The Miro window opens, grey background, Miro logo and caption “Miro”, maximize restore and close buttons. And nothing more. It stays unchanged for hours.3 times now I just uninstall and reinstall and then it works fine again. Until it does not.Is there anywhere I can find error logs? I’m fed up now and will just have to work with the browser version.I’m not impressed with the desktop app. 

Starting earlier this week, we started receiving requested from Miro when a new user wishes to join.We have not yet enabled “Auto-capture new users from this email domain” for our domains yet, so we wanted to confirm that when we receive emails as seen below, we need not do anything yet:Is this user prevented from joining Miro without us intervening?If we are to accept them, where is that in the Admin panel, and what are we admitting them to, since our portal and teams only contain the first few admin accounts?Thank you,Wes

The letter spacing and/or kerning of fonts seems to be different between the rendered canvas and the way the browser renders them while editing (tested on Firefox and Vivalid; Fedora 43 and Ubuntu 24.04). This causes layouting issues in documents, last letters in labels to slide into the next line, and other issues as shown in this screen recording:Severity depends on the font, so a workaround for many cases is to use Arial or IBM Plex Sans (closest match) rather than Noto Sans (largest discrepancies). The overhang can be worked around by adding a space at the end. Starting Monday, 3/16/2026, can no longer format specific text within a cell in a Grid component in Miro - the formatting control bar will NOT display to choose formatting options when selecting/highlighting specific partial text in a given column/cell; the control bar is now only available to apply for the entire cell contents. Anyone else encounter this or suggestions/workarounds? 

Hello, My question is regarding MP4 Video Uploading to Miro, we work many animation references, and video support is extremely important. Every time I try to upload a video I get an error “File type is not supported” for some reason. previously I was able to add without problems, and now It stopped and I don't have the option, as also for my team members across all boards as well as new boards.I tried to upload a linked video file to OneDrive, but also faced problems there where I get messages that I am not authorized and wasn't able to preview the video, and other team members can’t view it aswell, so that option was also not useful to say the least.other alternatives I was resorted to was to convert mp4 to gif, but quality decreases and realistically it is not sustainable. Would love to get support and guide on how i can fix this issue (like I mentioned, previously I was able to paste videos without a problem)

Today I faced the problem of endless loading. The platform itself loads extremelly slow, often without any progress. Not to talk about the boards. They start loading but the loading goes on for 15 percent then it stops. I used google chrome, michrosoft edge on my laptop. tried using the app for the laptop, tried incognito mode - nothing works. the board only loads when my vpn is on. I am in Russia. I don’t hear about any loading issues from other people located here. As for other devices, I tried loading the boards on my iphone in safari and on my ipad using the app. it works throught the app from time to time but doesn’t work consistently. What might be the problem? please help 

Hello, dear Miro team!Today I tried to log into my Miro account through Google. First time it was successful, but then after log out and log in into another and then log in my acc, the process went like I was creating a new account. After logging in, all my boards and all my work disappeared.How do I recover my account with my boards?

Hi!I prefer to use Miro in my web browser and I’m trying to find a setting to stop Miro from launching my desktop app every time I open it in my web browser. 

Hi!Miro used to offer some great “getting started” resources for people who have never been on a Miro board. Tutorials to practice doing basic things like navigating on a board, writing text, adding a sticky note, or adding a shape. You could watch the instructions and then practice the skills.It’s been a while since I shared resources like this with new users and none of my old links work anymore. I’ve been searching in the Academy and the help database and cannot find anything that is designed for this entry-level user to help them feel more assured in using a board. Because Miro is super intuitive - only once you’ve learned how to use it. The resources I’m finding that are for “getting started” are about creating and designing your own boards and upselling the AI features.Does anyone have practical resources to share with new guest users who may be technologically hesitant or unfamiliar with using much beyond basic word processing and browsing online?Thanks in advance for your help.
