I have writing a book with a friend and to make the note taking prosses easier, I told my friend about miro. We chosed it as our note taking space and I created the board and invited her to it in the end of 2020. We have been using it for a while but had to stop.
Recently, we wanted to look into our notes from the time, however, when I tried to login my account was empty. There was only that board there. I askedy fried to look into her inbox if she had the emails. And they were there. The name of the board, the invitation to it and some comments.
But when we try to follow the links they lead nowhere.
Any adeas what we can do to access the board?

Hi @lokresia — thanks for sharing this, and I can imagine how frustrating it must be to lose access to something important like that board.
A few things you can try:
Check all possible Miro accounts Since you mentioned creating the board in 2020, it's worth checking if you might’ve used a different email back then (work, school, or personal). Try logging in with other email addresses you’ve used over the years.
Search your inbox for Miro emails Look for subject lines like “You’ve been invited to edit a Miro board” or “Welcome to Miro.” These can help you identify the email/account associated with that board.
Ask your friend to check her Miro account If you invited her as a team member or board editor, the board might also appear in her dashboard (unless it was deleted). She can go to her Miro dashboard and filter by “Owned by others” to check.
Expired or deleted board / inactive team cleanup If neither of you can see the board anymore, it’s possible it was deleted — or the team may have been removed due to inactivity. Miro may clean up inactive teams as explained here: 👉 https://help.miro.com/hc/en-us/articles/8947553237906-Why-did-I-get-an-email-about-an-inactive-team Miro considers a team inactive if no board activity (opening/editing/deleting) occurred within 12 months. If that’s the case, the team (and associated boards) may have been removed.
If you still have an old email with a board link or board name, Miro Support might be able to look into it for you. Please let me know if the items above did not work so I can connect you with the support team.

As it has been passed a lot of time, I believe number 4 may be the reason for this issue. We would love to receive back the information from our board.
I can provide you with exact dates my friend was invited her email, address as well as mine for the account.
I have looked my other account for the board but it was not there before I contacted you. My friend still keep the emails and there was my email address which I used yo create the boared, the invitation link to the boared as well. And a few comments we exchanged there.
Let me now what do you need and I will happily forwared it to you, so we can restore the board.
I have your post converted into a support ticket so this can be investigated more thoroughly on the backend. Please wait for support’s response in your inbox.
