We’ve been using Miro for years, but suddenly board won’t load in Safari (but are fine in Chrome). Same board as usual. Is anybody else having issues in Safari? The controls are visible but the board is just empty! Thanks!
Hi
If you don’t know this (probably you do) Miro is quite “cache sensitive” so when strange problems crop up, it’s best to delete your cash or do a hard page reload.
Hope this helps! Cheers, Ken
Thanks Ken! I agree - it must be something with my set up, but not sure what! I’ve cleared caches and done hard loads, restarted etc but still I’m seeing a very empty board!

compared with Chrome:
Hi
-
Could you let us know your Safari version and macOS version?
-
Are there any browser extensions enabled in Safari that might interfere with content loading?
-
Are other Miro boards also affected, or just this one?
-
Can you check if there are any JavaScript errors in Safari’s developer console (View → Developer → Show JavaScript Console)?
-
If possible, could you also share a screenshot or short video comparing what loads in Chrome vs. Safari?
Let us know what you find — and if it continues, I can help you raise it with the Support team directly.
Thanks Eca!
Safari: Version 18.4 (20621.1.15.11.10)
MacOS: 15.4.1 (24E263)
No extensions (and nothing I’ve changed recently)
Other boards seem ok (and this board is fine in Chrome): Board: o9J_l636gB0=/

Thanks so much!
Thanks so much for the follow-up and all the helpful details,
The fact that only this board is affected in Safari, while others load fine and it works in Chrome, suggests it may be related to something within that board’s content or layout specifically causing a rendering issue in Safari.
A couple more things to try:
-
Could you duplicate the board and see if the duplicate opens correctly in Safari?
-
If you’re comfortable, try removing or hiding large files or widgets (like iframes, embedded media, very large images) via Chrome and then checking if it loads in Safari.
-
Also, could you try opening the board in a private Safari window to rule out caching or session-based issues?
If none of that helps, I can help convert this post into a ticket for you.
Thanks again for all your time on this!
Thanks Eca. Duplicating the board worked! The console shows no errors, but the original board still doesn't load.
Glad it helped,
