For all the Confluence and Jira users out there, we’re excited to announce a new update that makes it even easier to bring Miro into your Confluence pages and Jira issues with Atlassian Smart Links!Try out the three new Miro display options: an inline link, a card view, or a fully embedded board so you can easily build a whiteboard into your workflows. To add a Miro Smart Link, simply paste your board URL link on a Confluence page or Jira ticket or type “/link” to insert. Once pasted, you can display the board as one of three options: A small “inline” link which can quickly show anyone viewing the page what the board title is. A more impactful “card” view where you can see more information about the board, including a thumbnail preview and the time it was last updated. A full embed, where anyone with the appropriate permissions can view, comment, or edit the live board. Note: The board permissions are what is set in the board sharing settings.
In the spirit of collaboration, we listened to your feedback and learned that one of the biggest challenges teams face is how to build and maintain engagement throughout meetings and workshops. When meeting online, teams may not always want to express themselves verbally, which makes it challenging to keep everyone engaged and dialed in with the group. That’s why we’re launching reactions, a fun new feature that can increase engagement during meetings and workshops by giving everyone a chance to express themselves. Select from six emojis to express how you feel at any time during a meeting or workshop Participants can raise their hands and facilitators will get notified Facilitators can lower hands The reactions feature is available for all users, and board owners will be able to turn the option on and off. We are introducing anonymous Guest Editors – the quickest and easiest way to invite collaborators that don’t have the Miro account yet. Invite anyone outside Miro to collaborate with your team on your public board without any friction or additional costs. Guest Editors don’t have to sign in or sign up for Miro to have full access rights to the board that is shared with them via a public link. Organize remote meetings, brainstorming sessions, and workshops in minutes – simply make your Miro board public and share the link with workshop participants. Don’t worry about losing access to the board if you accidentally close the tab or refresh it – as long as the board is public, it will be shared with Guest Editors. Learn more about anonymous Guest Editors in our Help Center article. Guest Editors are available for Team, Business, Enterprise, Consultant, and Education plans

Activity List in Miro helps track changes made to boards by editors. In our effort to make collaboration in Miro even more secure, we’re updating the permissions to ensure that Activity List is available for board collaborators with the right permissions. Here are the changes we introduced: Activity List will be visible exclusively for board editors that were explicitly invited to boards via email or have the access to the board because they are part of a project or team in Miro. Board viewers & commenters will NOT see Activity List If the board is shared via link with the company or via a public link with anonymous Guest Editors, Activity List won’t be visible for them.
A few feature appears to be out of beta and has started showing up on various accounts, so I figured I would post about it.The feature? I’m unofficially calling it: Board Content Copy Permissions. As it turns out, I was close with the name.
