Today we have activated the Team Plan for our company because 66 users have already actively worked with the board. As soon as an external user adds a board outside our domain as a viewer, he has immediate access to all other existing boards. The permissions should actually only allow the boards for the invited users. Do you have an idea what this is about? Thank you in advance. Florian
Hi All, When using the Miro Voting plugin, I have noticed that when the results are displayed, the actual voting numbers are completely incorrect. We may have chosen “Item A” twice, but it appears 7 times!! Has anyone seen this? It is not ready to run client workshops like this… Thanks, Aman
Urgently looking for enigmatic Online Facilitators experience of designing and delivering online engagement. From crowdsourcing to events and research online that was highly engaging. I need the right individuals with this experience. Please get in touch if this is you! (Hope this is okay to post here 🤔)
Right now, the Miro access tokens are bound to a specific user and a specific team. This requires users to authorize our app multiple times with Miro (for each team). Our users found this pretty counter-intuitive. Their expectations are set by Zoom/Slack/Github which asks users during their default OAuth flow only once to connect the account. It would therefore be easier to if Miro OAuth access tokens could work across teams (and the API requires the team_id as a parameter when e.g. creating a board).
I had a previous account with RealTimeBoard but (I don’t think) had never created a board. Recently a colleague invited me to one of his team’s boards and revived my interest in using this platform. Except I can’t see a way to create a new board of my own. I seem to be “stuck” in his team area. (His team’s name is all I see on the upper left hand side of my window). I’m on the free account. Any idea as to how I can both still contribute to his board for his team, but also find the area to create boards of my own? I am attaching a screenshot of my screen for clarity. Thanks! Beth
Today, the api doesn’t allow to set the borderColor to “transparent”. Not setting any value, Miro defaults the border to black. We figured out that setting the borderOpacity to 0 is a possible workaround. Yet, this isn’t ideal because getWidgets doesn’t do this if users create transparent borders in the Miro UI (i.e. input and output API aren’t consistent). It would be great if you would allow API developers to set the border color to transparent.
Hi, we are quite new to Miro and in the process of evaluating the best possible solution for a clients online workshop format. Here’s the challenge: We would need to set up 3 “work rooms” for 3 teams (of 5 each), with each team working on an individual board. After each session, all team members join in the work rooms and discuss the results together. Alternatively we would set up a general space where all teams could meet. However, the moderator should be able to switch rooms seamlessly. In addition it would be great if the 3 teams could use video chat while working on the boards. Thanks for your input!
Hello, I created a new tailored board for my particular purpose and added some shapes together, it looks nice and fits my needs. My journey was a bit troubled, I am not used to Miro and took a long time to fnish this board. Lots of rework. However, as soon as I added a sticky note, I noticed that the sticky isn’t bounded to the shape. Meaning, if I move the entire board, the sticky notes remain at the same place, they don’t move together. What am I doing wrong?
I would like to tie two boards together. There are some tickets/stick notes, etc. with some notes that I like to use in another board. I also want to add such attributes as Priority, Weight, etc. that can be referenced from one miro board to another board.
I'm an admin. On one of my Miro boards I see two pages that both have a way of adding team members, and on another of my team boards these buttons don't exist. I don't see anything different in settings and can't figure out why the projects are behaving differently? So on the team without those buttons, I don't see an easy way to add anyone to the team? Please help
We are planning a strategy planning session Monday next week for a client with 20 attendees. They will be invited using the day pass. We wanted to send the invitation out with the link and some notes at least 4 days in advance of the session. However, we do not want them to click the link until the meeting day as their 24 hr day pass may expire before the scheduled session. What approach is taken in this situation? We currently have the Miro Consultant plan.
The API allows to use the following colors for widgets (every other color is rejected): #F5F6F8, #FFF9B1, #F5D128, #D0E17A, #D5F692, #A6CCF5, #67C6C0, #23BFE7, #FF9D48, #EA94BB, #F16C7F, #B384BB Yet, the Miro UI itself supports a different set of colors: #fef445, #fac710, #e6e6e6, #f24726, … This confuses users of API generated widgets because they can’t reproduce the same ones in the UI.
