Dear Miroers, How can I open a board in my Miro Desktop App, when that board has been shared with me for editing via a public share link and not by adding me as a team member? (This post seems to handle a similiar issue: https://community.miro.com/wish-list-32/open-desktop-app-from-web-browser-1357) Thanks for your hints! Best, Benjamin
It’s a small, small thing, but when integrated with Slack, the channel that Miro sends notifications to is labeled “Miro (formerly RealtimeBoard) Feed”. I haven’t heard anymore mention RealtimeBoard for a long time. Could this be removed? Just “Miro Feed”.
Hello! This is a continuation of my topic here: Original Post: (Please view for quick reference): https://community.miro.com/best-practices-discussions-48/best-practice-very-large-user-story-framework-map-board-1403 Intro: Basically I am working on ‘User Story Framework Mapping’ at this stage. This entire post is regarding ‘User Story Framework Mapping’. Scenario: I have a very large application with multiple user types, and user ‘areas’ of the application. (See my original post). I have broken the application into small boards to make it more manageable as I have 1500+ user stories for my application. Overall Question: My question is, how do I (or can I?) reference board elements from OTHER boards. So in my original post I have split my application into (4) user story boards pending on the User role in which the User Story refers to. Example Board Layout Board 1 | Public Area (where non-auth users can visit and what they can do) Board 2 | Standard user
Hello all! Question: What are some best practices to manage very large ‘user Story framework maps’ without over-complicating entire process of creating user stories for user roles? --- I just discovered this app and I am LOVING it! Its like Trello on steroids mixed with draw.io and balsamiq. really cool software. Right now I am using Miro to heavily document my ‘social application (think similar to Facebook) user activities, tasks, and stories. I have over 1500+ user tasks so far. In my case I have 4 areas of the application in which I have created (4) User Story Framework Map Boards Public Area (where non-auth users can visit and what they can do) Standard users (User Type - A) - What authenticated standard user type A can visit and do Other User Type (User Type - - what authenticated user type B users can visit and do App Admin User Type (User Type - C) - this is like the ‘Facebook admin / Facebook staff user for reference. This is what all User type c can
Scenario1: When we add user email id in miro and send invite 404 ERROR is found when clicking on the link 'https://miro.com/welcomeDQj9EzXfPsJqhNwcZeUFr2PoxD7Q3nRg25CLK9H9eR8sNUKnZ3zK5ZpSSvrPqMJS' from gmail Scenario2: When clicking on 'Go to Dashboard' from gmail - it takes the user to SignUp page if they are not logged to miro - should it navigate to SignUp or SignIn page?
I’m a teacher I like the the way I can organize my space on micro. A lot. I want to broadcast my webcam and my voice to many students at the same time…. and give them the ability to see the board, my face, hear me and leave comments. No editing. Is it possible on Miro or the video chat function won’t work this way? What payment plan will it be? What is I want to broadcast to more people, 100 of them - should I better just open my Miro board, film the screen with another app, stick on my face and use a different platform. I mean, to use Miro as a background. I understand, the main idea of the platform is collaboration, but still…
Hello, We have a web-app for online education that contains rooms for online conferences and workshops. We want to bring Miro’s real-time, collaborative whiteboard into our conference rooms, so that our clients can login into their accounts and bring their whiteboards to work together in our conference rooms. So my doubt would be: if I’m working with clients in Miro, should I use Consultant Plan or Enterprise Plan? (considering they are working in Miro embedded in our web-app). About the implementation What would be the correct Miro tool to be used to create this functionality? I understand that Boards Picker allows bringing specific apps for specific teams, but is the same tool (Boards Picker) capable of bringing clients’ boards into my conference room? PS.: Whereby (app for conferences) has the exact same functionality that we want to implement (see image below). It means that they bring clients’ collaborative whiteboards into conference room - when you choose Miro in Whereby, a l
Hello Community, I as a consultant got an request from a client to prepare an Innovation Workshop in Miro. The client want´s a customized blueprint from me, which should be integrated at least in his companies account. I´ve no access to the clients space. So how can I create in my space and send him a version of my workshop? Thanks for helping me
Hi My employer has strict procurement procedures. One of the stages we go though to make a purchase requires a written quotation. I have ask the Miro support centre for help, but I’m just directed to the renewal page which is acceptable to the organisation. I know the payment will be automatically taken but there is a risk the payment will be blocked with the inevitable circumstances of loosing access to Miro. Basically is there a way to get a written quotation from Miro. Terry
Hey, I’m trying to embed a google map with an iframe into miro. I can embed the map but I don’t see a thumbnail of it in the non activated state, just the grey box with a play icon. When I activate the iframe everything is fine but when I leave it I only see the grey box with play icon again. How can I get a preview of the map for the google maps iframe? cheers Benny
Hello, My firm recently purchased 2 Consultant Plan licenses for 2 consultants who will be using Miro on the same client. I thought that one of them could easily create a team for the client, and then invite the other user as a Team Admin, and then use day passes or anonymous editors as needed for client stakeholders. However, after creating the team, we had to purchase a ‘seat’ at an additional $15 so that the other license could join it. Is this how Miro works or did we set up the accounts incorrectly? I'm confused why the two licenses can’t join a team together without the need for purchasing these seats at an additional cost.
Our organisation can’t afford to roll our Miro to everyone - it’s cost prohibitive. In any case we don’t need everyone to create and manage their own boards. What we we need is just the ability to view and potentially comment on the boards my team produces. Can we mix in some free accounts with our corporate ones? I notice that when people sign in with their corp email they are added to our team and billing starts. I think we’re on the team plan.
So, I had a miro account and I created a random team to just test out the platform. I didn’t needed it anymore. So, i went to delete that team and ended up deleting my account somehow. I received an email and messages on miro that your account has been deleted :/ I want to reactivate my account with my old email address. I am allowed to login on here in this miro community somehow but when I login to miro.com, the website just keeps on loading and it never finishes. So any help would be appreciated
I am planning to run a collaborative workshop next week - there are probably going to be 12-13 participants. I am a little concerned about the visibility of all participants on screen (joining by video chat). I have never tried anything with so many. I have seen elsewhere that that participants will be stacked up on top of each other with a slider iof more than 3 or 4? And everybody will have to manually move up and down to see who is talking? What’s the best practice for handling this kind of situation? First time I have done this on Miro, I am quite anxious. I also have seen that some people run Zoom/Teams alongside instead? But my concern there would be that the whiteboard screen would end up being pretty small on Miro if half the screen is taken up with Zoom?
I have been added to a “dashboard” account by my admin, but its not recognizing me in this new upgrade account (I went through the link provided in the dashboard email as well as tried a incognito) --- and still recognizes me as a older account user login (not giving me the upgrade option) Any advice?
Hi guys, hope you can help me out! So, I just discovered that none of the teams listed on my profile are “mine”. I.e. I’m not “Team admin” in any of the teams.. (turns out i’ve used a friends board for months, which was called “My team” #facepalm). How can it be that I don’t have my own team? I’m using the free plan, but you do get your own team when you sign in, right?
Hey All, I’m looking for some tips on doing effective voting in a Miro board. We’re holding an ideation session and need to run several rounds of “dot voting” on post-its to prioritize both needs to address and concepts. We’ll be using different sets of criteria for each round of voting (e.g. most differentiated, most aligned with our purpose). There will be 10 participants and we’re trying to set all the activities up in the board ahead of time. I’m experimenting with the voting plug in but it seems like I can only create a voting session in the moment as opposed to setting up the parameters and saving the session for future use. Does anyone know if it’s possible to set a voting session up ahead of time? Should we be thinking about voting in a different way? One alternative is to have participants do the emoji commenting instead. What have you guys had success with?
I’m currently working on a few boards that I started before I was completely familiar with the scale of the canvas and now I’m seeing that they are at <1%. Is there a fast way to fix this? I can’t zoom in anymore cause it’s at the lowest %. I don’t know how this happened, so would like to know the best way to start a new board so that I don’t have this issue again.
Hi there, I’m currently on the team plan and I’m running a workshop tomorrow for 12 people that are outside of my organization. I see that there is a beta feature where I can add them and allow them to edit the board. Will this suffice or do I need to switch licenses and then pay for day passes? Are there any disadvantages to doing it this way? Thanks! Best, Josh
Hi, in case I would leave my company I’d want to have my account and profile deleted by my company admin. This works. But does this include also each and every comment I posted on other boards or is just about deleting my own boards? To be concrete => is there a way to find work items, comments or any action feed history that’s related to my name or account?
