Hey All,

We have a miro board that we would like to share with people who are new to MIRO and they will only have access as a ‘free user’. Is there a way for us to share the board with them so that they can duplicate and edit it as necessary? And if possible could we lock the ‘Master’ board for editing?

Basically - Can a free user duplicate locked items on a board, which they can then edit themselves?

@Michael Selvasothy - This is working for me right now for sharing a board from a Free Plan team to another Free Plan.

  1. Set the source board’s Share settings as follows:
  2. Send the link to the other Free Plan user
  3. Then they can click on the board title and use the Duplicate action:

They will also not be able to edit your board when it is in View only mode.

NOTE: If they are not able to click on the board title, then the board owner will need to adjust the Board Content Settings to allow for anyone with the board access can copy.

Try it out yourself by duplicating a copy of my board:
