When I go into active users it will say someone has access to one board yet they can access any of them. It says I have access to 11 but I can also access any of them. How do I fix this? If we have consultants that should only have access to one board this is a huge security flaw.
Hi All! I am really happy to use miro, it is a piece of a nice digital product. Unfortunately, my team came across a surprising event. We were using the free plan for testing and we added to the team a few members. One month later 20 unknown users appeared in our team. Is this a bug or in the free plan miro community gains access to our content and can join our team without our permission?
How can I add a board to two different projects? (Sort of like having a "shortcut" file in one folder and the real file in another folder in Microsoft land). ie NOT a copy, but the same file (board) accessible directly from two different projects. Thx
When creating wiring diagrams for UI’s for example, or creating UML sequence diagrams you need to draw a lot of horizontal and vertical lines. It would be really helpful if there could be some visual indication when drawing or extending lines that the are horizontal or vertical - a bit like the indications when you have something aligned with something else.
I struggle with the dimensions of the templates and frames on my Miro-Board. My case is: I have a Miro Board with different activities, for each activity I made a frame of template. All the frames together, are the flow of the workshop. But how do I know how big the frames must be? When is it big enough for the participants to have a good overview, to read the text in the frames when they zoom in? And how are my letters? What is a good size of the frame to get a good structure of your board? Or, is anybody willing to share his or her template? So that I have an example? Thanks a lot, Mireille
Hello, I am using Miro as a whiteboard replacement for my online quantum mechanics course at the University of Warsaw. So far everything is very smooth, the only thing that students have complained about is the fact that whenever I write something it appears inside a gray box with my initials. Sometimes this box does contain an entire word, but just a single letter (or even part of it), which makes it quite distracting. I understand that this is supposed to tell the others who is writing what but in my case, I am the only person writing on the board, so there is really no need for that. Is there a way of switching off this feature so that no gray boxes appear when I write (either on my side or on the student side)? thanks a lot! jedrek
We created several user story maps for different parts of the process to ease facilitation. Now we’re reviewing those maps and want to combine all three into one and clean up overlap. Is there a way to connect the end of one map’s backbone to the start of the next map’s backbone?
I have created a group of stickies from client discussions and as I link them together I realize that it would be helpful to connect them into a mind map. Is it possible to easily perform this task? I’ve connected them but when I move them around the connected cards do not move and flow like a mind map which would be helpful. Thanks, Glenn
Hi there! Whether it is the app or browser on my Android tablet, I am unable to see the pen for editing Google documents at Google Drive. The pen is not where it is supposed to be at. It just isn't there. Any advice would be much appreciated. Thank you. D
Hi there, I am a very happy Miro customer since a long time. I work in the entertainment industry as a creative and I have been using the board as my main creative tool and platform, mainly to organize my ideas with thorough mind maps and collaborative brainstorming session with my collaborators. Recently I have been working on my presentation skillset within Miro with the goal to switch to this platform for all my client presentations (replacing Keynote). In my business line, very often we go through a preliminary remote phase when we have to send out a presentation deck to the client for a preview (before we even get to meet them in person). I thought it would be very useful to use Miro for this purpose cause I could embed video references to play within the presentation and boost the presentation effectiveness. Unfortunately I found out that it is not that easy cause of the following issues: I couldn’t find a direct link to the board’s presentation mode (just a workaround copying
Hello! I am preparing a workshop to be conducted by Miro. One of the essential features for conducting it will be Screen Sharing feature, where participants can follow my screen. I've used it several times and it worked perfectly, but today when I clicked my entire screen was frozen and I had to reload the board. I cannot use the function, nor does the Start button appear on the screen. Is this problem happening to anyone else? Is there any solution? Other people on my team tested and had the same problem. Thank you!
Hi dear, since our Miro cost will be charged on a financed project, we would need to clearly track all expenses, providing invoices and proofs of payment. So I was wondering how invoicing would work for a 9 members team (knowing that self-serve invoicing is available just for 10+ team): Will I (as team admin) receive anyway an invoice from Miro or not? If not, how the payment process would happen? The post-payment invoice will be still available also for our (small) team? Thank you!
The videochat does not work properly in miro app. Either I can start a videochat, than I can see myself, but not the other person or it works the other way around: He starts the chat, but than it`s only him shown. Means, the app is not managing to send an receive a picture at the same time. Is this problem known? Thank you for help. Johanna
hi all, I’m a teacher exploring using Miro for replacing whiteboard as we move to online education. I also do some collective drawing exercises so I’m excited to try Miro as a tool in online workshops, etc. One issue I see is that if I am sharing a board with someone, they can see my drawing update in realtime but if I translate / zoom those transformations are not shared. For example, I could fill the space with notes and then translate over and draw something else, but their screen is not updated when I change and drawings can quickly become out of the field of view for my students or others I am sharing with. Is there a way to pass translation and zoom on to other people? I’d like to make sure they see what I see. I am a big fan of the infinite canvas model (where you can draw, and pan / zoom, etc) but it feels like unless there’s a way for them to know that the drawing is offscren, it’s un-useful and potentially kind of harmful as I could be drawing in a place they can
