How to stop viewers from selecting something?

I just want viewers to view. I do not want them to be able to select an object and have it outline. They can “see” the work. Is there a way for this not to happen? I noticed this because I can not click a link. Instead, I am selecting the outline of the text instead of the link. So not being able to click the link is my other issue.

As far as I know, this is default Miro behavior that even in view mode, folks can “hold” an object but they can’t change it in any way.

As far as clicking on a link goes, that should work for viewers - I just tried it on a test board with a view-only anonymous guest editor and the link icon did support clicking and took me to the object it was linked to.

Ok. I was doing the link the wrong way. Concerning the selection, I wish this was not possible. It is not a good user experience because it makes a viewer think something is supposed to change.
