Hi Brilliants!I use a Miro board as Library for E-&Audiobooks - Images of covers work are linked to dropbox files that can be downloaded.How can I set this up so that people(with just the board-link) cannot edit but still access the links? This seems not possible with Edit nor View-only rights - either they can edit everything(not desirable) or they can’t click the links(which is the purpose of this library!) ‘Public Library’ - How to set this up so that people with the board link can place their own covers linked to cloud-files, but cannot edit the links of others?Would be really grateful for your feedback! ;-) Big thanks!
I accidentally clicked no access to all team members on a Miro Board share. The board is completely gone even for myself and I created it.Please tell me there is a way to get it back?!

Miro does not render all draw lines on miro app is I zoom out. Basically I am trying to leave all the draw expressions on the board if I zoom out help.

Hello,I held a workshop today and used the “Brainwriting” template. However, I added more columns and removed some rows.I created four identical layouts with 8 columns and 4 rows. Then I added frames around them to be able to hide the layouts we hadn’t worked on yet.However, when the participants joined, as soon as someone clicked in their sticky note, the whole layout greyed out and no one could write in their sticky note. Instead we had to add new sticky notes on top of the ones I had already placed there.I tried to unlock the frames with no luck.Does anyone know why? We are on the Enterprise plan.
I’m relatively new to Miro. I like Present mode that allows me to cycle through frames as “slides”. In a Zoom meeting, I select Share Screen, and pick the Miro browser window. I enter “Present” mode in Miro… Participants are still seeing the full board, not the slide I’m presenting.How can I get the Miro presentation visible to Zoom participants via Share Screen?
When I select Epic Link in the card configuration, it’s pulling through the Jira reference rather than the Epic Name. Epic Name cannot be used as that is a field used in Epics, not other Jira types.What I want it to display is as it does in Jira, if you look at the Epic Link on a Jira it displays the name of the Epic not the Jira reference (which unless you really know your Epics will mean nothing to you!). It looks like it’s using the JQL version of the Epic logic - i.e. “ AND Epic = “Title of my Epic” gets changed in a JQL to “AND Epic = AAA-1234” (or whatever your Jira reference is). What I’m seeing on Miro is AAA-1234 (for example) which is useless to me.Am I doing something wrong, or is this how it’s configured?
Hi,I have a table in my google sheet which fits nicely in a portrait ‘print’ view, but when I upload this to my Miro board it defaults to a landscape with lots of blank columns and then other rows now only visible if user clicks through to other pages.Can I change this, so that the view of the table is driven by my print settings in google sheet or have a way to change this within Miro itself.ThanksW
Hi folks, I have read the following documentation but I still have questions about object lockinghttps://help.miro.com/hc/en-us/articles/360021580759-Board-co-owner What we have observed:We use Miro to deliver training courses and have 3-4 facilitators / board owners. One of our main courses has a template that we update pretty regularly and we then create duplicate boards from this for specific clients. I have found that if I lock elements on the template and then duplicate the board then they are locked for me in the duplicated board. However objects that were locked on the template by someone else are now unlocked in the new copy. Can you tell me the expected behaviour when boards are duplicated and objects are locked by different people/roles. i.e. If a non board owner locks an object then that board is duplicated would you expect that object to be locked for everyone on the new board? Also with the new co-owner feature is there any different behaviour with locked objects between
Firstly, getting to any form of help on a paid product like this has been hell. I click on ? symbols only to be taken on a wildgoose chase. I then have to register for the ‘community’. Why? I pay for your service, all I want is help.The registration process has 8 fields that I don’t care for when I want help, but if you omit ONE, your entire page gets reset. Not helpful. Remember - I want help because the product isn’t working (and I am sure all this data is part of my PAID for subscription, so this third party now has more data I don’t think it needs. My problem? I’d like to reduce the font size on some arrows - in fact, I’d like any of the arrow formatting functionality to work. It doesn’t. I might get lucky on the third or fourth time of ‘clicking’ on the down arrow for font size. Or I might not get lucky at all. Highly frustrating, all I need to do is update 4 arrow text fields, and here I am ranting and the electrons again. My good god, I pay for this. I recently ran a marathon -
I’ve been using Miro for a long time but I think since the latest Firefox update 124.0.1, Miro suddenly started to undo twice when i click on CTRL+Z once. I tested other boards and checked if the problem is with CTRL+Z itself with me but everything works fine elsewhere but here.It is not Firefox as I’ve tried with several other tests and they all seem to be working fine so something is wrong elsewhere and this is a big deal for me as I can’t properly use the board now and I really don’t want to switch from Miro.

Hi, my team and I have created a custom web plugin which was working properly. When a new team member was added, he could see the web plugin icon but the custom feature didn’t work at all. This is what we get as an error: “Uncaught (in promise) Error while command execution: Method 'board.widgets.get' requires scope 'boards:read'”. We have already allowed the “board:read” permission for our app. So I tried to reinstall the app but it seems we need to authorize the app. So I tried to authorize the plugin but I and my team get this message.We have subscribed for a team account and I am not sure how can we get this plugin to work again. I also tried to create a new app but this same message appears every time. Am I missing out on anything? Please help me out here! Regards,Taylor
Hello all, I asked a similar question about. This a few years ago and as there wasn’t this functionality at that time am wondering if now, two years on, something like this has been implemented?I would like to have a single board and have a frame for each of my students. Each frame is restricted to be editable by only one user (and the board owner of course). Students can view other peoples frames (can even and post its around the outside of the frame) but cannot edit or add anything in someone else’s frame. Many thanks in advance for any feedback!
Hello,I would have some questions regarding possibilities of customizing miro board. My goal is to embed miro board into my website and use it to my own private lessons. Therefore, I’d have couple of questions:Is it possible to export the board to PDF if the board is embedded? I don’t see such option, for me it is only visible on regular miro board, not embedded one. Is it possible to customize the UI (I’m mostly interested really simple UI, like at webwhiteboard.com - since I’d only use miro to write things) Is it possible to add ‘Video chat’ icon to the main top panel - so that it is visible right away (or ideally, start video chat right after joining the board) I tried to look into the documentation, but I didn’t find the answers. I’m unable to return to a default view. Any ideas on how to reset so my navigation returns to standard size. None of my other browser based apps are affected. I’ve included the browser tabs for size comparison. I want the Miro display to replicate the font size in the browser tabs. Thanks!
I work best if I can see the whole year in an Annual Planner which is organised horizontally. So January stretches from left to right, then underneath is February, etc. I need this to sync with Google Calendar. So when I make an entry into one or other of these two tools, it syncs to the other. Ideally this would all link up in some sort of project management software like Asana or Monday.com or Trello. I'm finding it difficult to figure out if this is possible. Can any experts help me figure this out? Even if this is not a current option, this could be a useful functionality to develop, to put one of the innovative project management software platforms ahead of the competition. Who can help?!?! I’m relatively new to MIRO and my company have taken on the tool for in-house collaboration.My scenario is that I want to facilitate a session where collaborators will Sticky Note their ideas and then the group will dot vote on those to take forward. I’ve created my first board for this purpose.I want to preload the board with dot votes so I can concentrate on facilitation, rather than being a ‘board gardener/caretaker’, as I will be the sole facilitator.The problem is the last item added to the board is at the front, meaning pre-loaded dot votes will go behind a sticky note when moved by default. This was noticed by the two testers of my board as I have a frame where uses can familiarise themselves with MIRO when the dot votes disappeared behind their sticky notes.Is there anything I can do to smooth this process (other than have to ‘bring to front’ the dot votes during the session after the last sticky was added)? Hi,I used “Configure Fields” in the Jira integration settings, and enabled a few extra fields. Still, when I open existing cards or create new ones, I don’t see these fields. Does this work for anyone?
I’m heavily using Miro desktop app on my mac so I can have multiple boards open at once. The tab feature seems to be missing in the newest version… I have to search through all my boards suddenly.
I’ve got a presentation that I need to upload and adapt within Miro. I’ve shrunk down the file size to just over 6mb, but even at that size, I can’t get it to upload and keep getting a “Sorry, Something went wrong” message (yes, but WHAT went wrong!?). I’ve tried doing this within the Miro desktop app, as well as in Chrome, but neither works. Any ideas on how to fix would be greatly appreciated!
This is a very annoying repetition that I have to make all the time during studies. When I take printscreen (windows+shift+s) and try to ctrl+v it on miro, it always make a tiny image (see 1.a) which I have to zoom in (see 2) until the scaling corner circles appear (see 3.a), and then scale it until the size of the others (see 4). It is like 10+ extra interactions that I have to do. When it is part of my board construction, it becomes a very annoying task. Honestly speaking, it looks like that the UX Designers did not cover this common scenarios. Potential solution: Take and average size from the elements in the screen and plot the ctrl+v image in a similar size WITH the scaling corner circles.
