Hello, I have created a board and added members to the board. However I have discovered that people are receiving a lot of notifications when I edit content etc. Is it possible for me to manage notifications for everyone on the board? Turn them off unless I push a notification or someone @mentions them? Thank youShauna
I’m test-driving Miro to keep my project team aligned on the scope and release planning. The user story mapping looks great for that purpose. However I’d like to add stakeholders/personas to the map. Some of these activities are requested by all stakeholder groups, some are exclusive to singular stakeholders. I remember that in Storiesonboard you had personas as icons above the activities. Is there anything similar in Miro or would I have to draw something up?BestMichael
Hi Miro Community My customer is complaining about board speed. The workshop is finished and now individuals are dipping into the board and discussing via sticky notes. In the ‘Tips to improve board performance’ refers to ‘Heavy Documents’ … What is that? I’ve uploaded, and unpacked 10 PowerPoint presentations, used photographs, shapes and stickies and 10 frames. Would it be better if I used jpgs of the PowerPoint Slides instead of the original ppt? Looking forward to hearing your wisdom. Tom
I’m using Miro in Remote Workshops in my browser and share my screen via Zoom to participants. Now, for some parts of the workshop I have the Miro app on my iPad to make drawings. And as my laptop screen with MIro open is shared, I would like to be able to follow my actions on the iPad within Miro with the attention management feature.BUT: As I’m logged in with the same user on my laptop and iPad, I’m not able to follow myself. Is there a work-around for this?
When I signed up for the Consultant plan i was surprised and disappointed to find i can’t share a board with non-team members to edit, something which i can do in Mind-Mapping software like Coggle.I want to use MIRO to work with Client teams on projects, running collaborative workshops, but i dont want to make them all members of my Team. I also need more than just 1 day passes.Does anyone have any solutions?
I am in the process of collecting possible courses for employees. I’d like to add for every course pill some information including price, link, trainer, etc.I’m doing the trainer and prices with tags, but I want to add extra structured information on the sticker (title, description, duration, etc.) I want to do with stickies, and let people define and build their career path. How can I format differently Stickies?
I’m new to creating plugin for Miro. I have created a test plugin by follwing https://developers.miro.com/docs/how-to-start this & successfully added to my board. But how to modify/change my plugin after installation. When I change the code in index.js file of my web page which is hosted in the web plugin url, the plugin does not affect. It keeps un changed. How to update my plugin to affect changes.Thank you
I like using my pen in Miro on my iPad so I can write text freehand and have it covert to printed text to ensure readability. What I haven’t been able to figure out is how to go to a new line while writing with the pen. Right now, I have to pull up the keyboard and hit return to do that. Is there a way to make the pen do that for me?
Right now Miro seems mostly about people starting things. I’m sure Miro has a frequency distribution showing how many boards people make. Over time, how many times they come back, factors driving repeat usage, tipping point between trying a few boards and being hooked on Miro, factors driving sharing and collaboration. IFTTM. I want to know about scale and how miro will help with scale. With APIs, other tools can generate boards. Like the manager who had more than a thousand pdfs for his team to annotate. People who meet could connect miro to calendaring and conferencing apps to trigger templated boards and automatically invite the right folks to contribute. Software developers might have a project’s issues not just added to a an existing kanban but start a scorecard board for each issue for a team to weigh in. There might be thousands of boards per worker, most generated automatically to lay the ground for further work. Overwhelm ahead. But nothing in the user experience suggests any
Hi - I’m running my first Miro ice-breaker with my leadership team of 32 people. My thought is to use our usual meeting platform, Zoom, and then share my Miro screen while asking everyone ahead of time to be logged in their Miro account. Then those who haven’t created their Miro account yet can see the others participating and will see how they too can use Miro for their teams. I don’t quite get yet how to ouse the Miro video/chat with over 30 people (of which so far about 20 have created their Miro accounts) since I would have to go to Zoom eventually to continue with our regular meeting. In your opinion, will my Zoom + Miro plan work? With thanks in advance for your input!
I am writing a plugin that detects changes in a board (widget created, deleted, etc), and I want to take a screenshot of the change. The plugin can detect those changes, but I am stuck at the screenshot part. I have tried to integrate an iframe in the plugin but with no success. I want to ask you what ideas would you suggest?
I did a quick search and did not find anything in the community about this…Does the calendar function with cards have any kind of notification built in? For example, if I set a future date on a card, will it alert me when that date arrives? My suspicion is that the answer, at least for now, is no… If it does not work that way, has anyone figured out a way to get date alerts in Miro, maybe via some third-party app integration? Thanks!
Is there anyway to make rows on two grids linked so that they dynamically update stickies and text from a different grids in a board? Our team is working on a strategic board that has a grid where each row is a different business vertical and columns are time. We also have sub-grids for each vertical that have the same time interval columns, but with different rows (main grid=KPI’s, sub-grids=resources needed to get there). For example, B2B is a row in the main grid, and we have a B2B sub-grid. Within the B2B sub-grid we want a row that pulls directly from the main grid and includes the high-level KPI’s over time (a simple =Xcell in Excel). Is it possible to do this in Miro? Thanks
Hi,I’m using Miro REST API in the form of a sidebar, I’m trying to export data to a external database and would like to mark each dataset with its corresponding miro board ID from the board url like this one for example: https://miro. com/app/board/hereistheboardid/I’m trying to do this by calling window.location.pathname.split('/') from which I then obtain an array of paths in the link. Unfortunately the paths that I get returned back are ones from my server where I keep the code to my miro REST API Outlined in blue is my sidebar, from which the url path gets returned, but in the red there is underlined the actual window url / location which I believe it should return. Any ideas how to get the miro board URL via my REST API / webplugin?
Hi guys,I want to code a simple calculator to use inside the Miro environment.Since I am completely new to doing this in Miro: Do I need to build this functionality within my own HTML environment and embed this piece of code within Miro using something like an iframe? I can’t figure out if it’s always a ‘web plugin’ you’ll have to load from your own website/environment.If someone can explain me where to start, thanks a lot!All the best,Bob
I have my own personal miro account, one of my clients also bought a corporate miro subscription after I spoke to him very well about miro. Now, I would like to know if I can join my client's aiming board with my personal aiming account and cooperate with him. Or if my client has to buy a new license made especially for me in order to work on his boards.
