I made a board a few weeks ago. I tried to open it via the link I got from my teammates (the link worked before). When I clicked the link it opened the home page of Miro but not my board. I also can’t find my board anymore and I didn’t delete it.

My understanding of this ‘set current view’ is that it only works for new users. Is there a way to set the view so that everyone comes to the specific place on the board I want them? Other than bringing everyone to me, which I currently use (not sure if it brings latecomers to me tho)

Hi all,I have a visual mapping (shapes with text connected by arrows) of many variables that affect a particular context (with the various connections shown).  At an online workshop, I wish the 15 or so participants to be able to indicate which variables they think most and which least significant (using a scale of 1-5 or colour scale).  There are around 30 variables, and I hope all 15 participants will place a vote on every variable.We shall then discuss the ones that score highest. My challenge is how to make this easy for participants who have not used Miro before?I thought about using coloured dots, but cannot find any!  One can make dots using the circle shape, but I’m at a loss as to how to fix the size (visually it won’t work if the dots are different sizes)I’m also considering using the number emojis, hoping people won’t re-size them manually.  But as they are all grey, the visual impact is lower.Any idea how to create a ‘dot’ with fixed size?Or any better ideas how people can

Since one of my colleague suggested me to use Miro Mac OS app instead of opening them in Chrome, I’ve been opening all my boards in the app. But there is a major problem that I can not solve which makes me wanna go back using the browser version. The problem is, when someone shares a board with the team and the board is not being owned by me or under same company miro account, I can not see the share button on the board. Normally when in browser, I just copy paste the URL and works fine if the board is public to link. But in the app, I can not reach the URL bar or see the share button. So when someone asks for a board link I have to open it from browser and copy paste the URL to that person which is a huge bummer. Suggestion: Please add share button even though the board owner is not me but its a public board. 

Hello!I am using Miro for education and therefore will use the pen tool a lot. It seems that every time you click shift, Miro exits the pen tool and switches to the select tool. Is this the intended function? I ask because the shift button is used to scroll horizontally with my mouse, and it would really stink if I have to click the pen tool or the “p” key every time I want to navigate to a different part of the board.

can i add more sprints or do pi planning for more than 1 PI using miro?If yes, how should i do it?

Hi there, I am drawing a mind map. I have a main branch “microbial communities” with many subbranches. I would like “microbial communities” with all the subbranches to be connected with a thick line from coming out from “Cell populations”, not directly from the root. I tried copy past but I did not succeed how can I do it? Warm thanks 

I´ ve added two members with a link to my board. Both can edit the board. They weren´t asked to pay for a daypass. Ist that for free - or do I now have to pay for it? It will be a 3 Month learning-journey …. and if I / them would have to pay for editing, I would set up another board with different rights. 

(a) does Miro kanban have filtering options?(b) can miro be somehow used as a project managment tool (to track progress and stages of all projects in one overview? but also per project. I cant see any filtering options per project lead or due date etc.

I’ve been testing installs of the Windows 64-bit desktop application for our Windows 10 desktop users in our corporate environment. The application installs successfully into my user account, and I see the application listed in Programs & Features, but there isn’t a Start menu entry nor is there a desktop shortcut icon. Is this the expected behavior?Our end users do not have admin rights on their company-owned devices, so I’m wondering what is the normal/expected way of launching the application. Thanks. 

Hi All,This has been happening for a while but just got time to raise it here.Basically the ‘side tray’ specifically triggered by the notifications icon won’t load content within it (See image)Obviously this is annoying as I am limited to going to each board individually and scanning around for notification marks on the comments, that may not even be the one I am searching for. Any help will be appreciated.  

Hello, I'm new to Miro and trying to find out what all the possibilities are between Miro and Excel.In Excel I have a planning template with data filled from a other page.When the calendar needs to start, days, week nbr etc..I fill some details in the settings page of excel and my calendar is filled.The reason for this is that not all my calendars are the same or start on the same date.Every cell has some data in it that I use for other things. My question, I want the data/calendar of excel as my template to place the sticky notes in.I can use an image but then there is no intelligence to it as adding a column  in Miro.Off course I can do this all manually but that's a lot of work for every new project.Does anyone know if this is possible? If yes, how can I do this? Below a screen shot how my excel template looks like.  Thanks, Daniel

Hi all,I invited many people(about 80-90 people) to my board with invitation link in free plan. All of them can access and edit. But they are limited 40 accounts, all of them(80 people) can’t access at the same time to the board. Is there any limitation with invitation link in free plan?

Does anybody know if I can give free view only access to a private board when I have a consultant plan?  i.e. not making the board public

Hi,Anyone else who finds the Mouse and Trackpad navigation modes confusing. Both modes seem to require that you have both a mouse and a trackpad at the same time for full functionality.How, using a mouse, am I supposed to “Slide with to fingers or pinch to zoom”?How, using a Trackpad, am I supposed to “Scroll vertically with mouse wheel, horizontally with mouse wheel+Shift” or “Zoom using Ctrcl/Cmd + mouse wheel”?BR/Björn

Does anyone know if it is possible to link a Word Document (say from Google drive) onto the Miro board so people can work on the document in Miro and then have the document save back into Google Drive? I see that it works with Google docs, but the formatting in Google docs does not always match with the Microsoft Word formatting.  I am starting a project on a manual re-write and need to have my team work on the Master document and save to it.  Any thoughts on a good way to accomplish that???

Hi, I am really sorry if this has been answered before.I have an educational Plan.It seems if I invite students to a board they are automatically added to my team? As you can imagine my team grows quite quickly with new classes and will reach the 100 limit very quickly.What is the process of inviting student to single boards without them being added asa team member? Thanks, Rikki 

Hi! I originally started using Miro for a class project with a team. The project since then has ended and no one uses the team anymore. However, I continued using Miro for my own personal use. Not realizing it was connected to my project team still, I created a board that I use for my own project planning. I’ve since realized that the board is still under this project team where I am not the owner. I would like to leave this project team and take the board I’ve been using with me and create a new team that contains just me. However, I’m on the free plan and don’t see a work around to do this except for swapping to a paid plan for a month. Is there a work around for this, or should I simply pay for a single month so that I can move the board?

Hello everyone! I have embedded a Miro board into my web app and have a button that modifies the iframe’s dimensions in order to show/hide the board. IF the Miro board is visible on page load, then resizing does not impact the board and it works perfectly. However, if the Miro board is off screen on page load, it shows up on resize with all text elements vertically shifted down one line as seen in the screen shot below. I tried to investigate the way that text elements are rendered on the Miro canvas but it’s quite a complex code and I got lost in the inspector. Any idea what may cause this issue? Where can I find those invoices?And Miro says: “Next payment will be automatically collected from this card. Next billing is due on 17/6/2021 for $364.24.” Many thanks in advance.

Hello,Form what I gathered with the free plan anyone in a team can see all boards. Currently, it’s only me in my team (and I’m planning to keep it that way because I don’t own a company, I’m just a student), but the scary thing is that when I try to add teams, I see there are some public ones with boards which all of a sudden I, a complete stranger, can modify.What I’m basically scared of is that my boards, too, can somehow be accessed by a random stranger just because mine is a free account.How do I prevent strangers from becoming members of my team is basically what I’m trying to get at?Thanks to anyone who will respond

I believe there is at least one bug here.NOTE: For all of my screenshots below, I have the Team Admin role.Team Invitation settingsFor the Free, Team, and and Education Plans, I see the following team setting - this example is from a Free Plan team: NOTE: I created the following board AND am still the board owner.With the settings as they are above, when I go into a board’s Share settings, this is what I see:This is as expected.Now I will start making changes:I enabled “Enable team invite link”​​​​​​Now let’s look at the board’s Share settings:It looks the same.Yes, it looks identical.
