I am using the free plan in my undergraduate classes. I want to use the share link to given my students board access during class, but I don’t want them to be team members so they can see new board as I make them before class. My students just started making their Miro Accounts and it looks like one student found my team and added himself so I had to scramble and cover up all my board content with a large object. Can I remove this student from my team? Or when I use the Link to Share the boards in class, will that just automatically add the students to my team regardless? I basically want them to be able to collaborate on the boards during class, but I don’t want them to be looking at my boards before class. Also, if I upgrade to get the paid version and make private boards (if that is the only way to do what I need to do) - I don’t want to pay for all my students to get the upgrade too - how does that work?? Many thanks for your help!

I am using Miro as a base to share my courses with my academy customers.As I am on a consultant plan I can share the boards, and any guest with the URL can duplicate the board for themselves. That’s great functionality.Now I would like to limit the access and visibility of the board(s) in my repository to active customers. As long as that person is a paying customer that person can access my boards. It is ok if a person has made a duplicate version of a board while the person was a paying customer. But I want to deny them access to any boards in my central repository. Even if that person still has stored a valid URL of a board out of my academy.Can I somehow create a group “active customers” and assign that group with access rights to my boards? I would then have to find a way of how to add and remove users from the group, but that would be easier.

Hi all: Trying to add icons into my board. The icons are there but they won’t “paste” or insert to my board. Have tried many different ones but no luck at all. Anyone else having this issue?

Hello. I have a Free plan, there is no possibility to share my board or send a link to my students. I click the button Share, but nothing happens, only the screen gets darker. I also can’t invite anybody. What should I do? 

I’ve got a presentation that I need to upload and adapt within Miro.  I’ve shrunk down the file size to just over 6mb, but even at that size, I can’t get it to upload and keep getting a “Sorry, Something went wrong” message (yes, but WHAT went wrong!?). I’ve tried doing this within the Miro desktop app, as well as in Chrome, but neither works. Any ideas on how to fix would be greatly appreciated!

Hola comunidad! Tenía 3 tableros en uso. Me han aparecido de repente 2 tableros más, que yo no he creado y, lo peor, que no puedo eliminar. Al intentar borrar uno de ellos se ha eliminado uno de los míos, en el cual tenía guardado largos meses de trabajo. Y de los dos que míos que han quedado uno aparece como “View only”, así que ni siquiera lo puedo editar. Literalmente, estoy a punto de llorar. A alguien le ha pasado? Alguna solución? Gracias!!!

Hi, As per documentation `https://api.miro.com/v1/boards/id/share` requires array of emails Array of emails of users who you want to invite to the board. These users can be registered or non-registered.When I try with a non-registered user it gives the error ‘user is not in the team’. Why is it so? Can’t we invite someone who is not in the team even if it’s a public shared board? If we need to do this, should we initially hit the invite to team endpoint & then call this endpoint. Response: 400 "{ "status" : 400, "code" : "userIsNotInAccount", "message" : "User is not in account", "type" : "error" }"

Hi all,We have an enterprise plan with Miro, and we want to use both chat and video with our guest users. We are planning to integrate Miro with ServiceNow, create a board via REST API, and then sharing the link with our users so they can share a whiteboard session including chat & video.Is it possible to use both chat AND video with guest users, if you have an enterprise plan? Also, is it possible to use some sort of templating for the boards you create? Like adding some text, or welcoming message on the board when it opens? Best regards,P

Hello Miro community, Miro is a great tool. So far I really enjoy using it. Recently I’m thinking to use it to manage my networks. However, I couldn’t find the best way to do so, if anyone have some ideas or suggestions, it would be great. So, here is what I’m trying to do:I’d like to create a Miro for my collaborator networks. Each collaborator has a image, a field for descriptions and notes, and more importantly, can be assigned with multiple dates. The dates for all collaborators can be sorted and presented in some form. Thanks! 

Hi I’m a long term mindmapper. Thrilled to see Mindmapping in Miro and want to use it. Has anyone found a way to use it to create Business Book Outlines or Structures? This is one I created in MindManager - its great as a stand alone but has very limited team and sharing functionality. Miro is much better at that. But so far I can only find ‘tree’ or left to right branching map formats. Anyone managed to create a map like this top down one in Miro? When I using the Miro app, the pin map toolbar and chat toolbars at the bottom are hide under the top.Please tell me how to fix it.Thank you!

Has anyone else tried using libraries with the create-miro-app React TypreScript option? Hello!In my team plan we have 4 active members and a “admin-only” one. It’s basically a finaces account that handles seats and billing, but doesn’t actually uses the patform. Ragardless, it’s still a “wasted” paid member.I know this is not the best way to manage the team, but is there a way to have a team administrator account without wasting a subscription (and without assining the role to another member)? Thank you!

I have a copy of my course roster in a Miro board. It is a PDF. I’d like to be able to edit that doc with pen etc., and immediately have that markup locked to the board. I’m assuming that I have to using the grouping feature,  and perhaps locking? I’d love to be able to make those edits quickly (e.g., in front of the class) without having to remember to lock them all in place. I learned this the hard way. I made careful notes on the first day, and forgot to lock them down. I later resized/moved the PDF, and as a result I now have pen marks that do not match up with document. Had I noticed immediately, I could have just used Ctrl-Z, but I didn’t… I’m hopeful there’s a simple feature that lets one mark up and make the edits essentially burn into the PDF, so no amount of resizing/moving leaves the edits stranded.

Hi, i’m on the education plan. I’ve invited guest users to vote. I’ve created the voting session, but if i click start now, the voting does not start. I just see upcoming votes. Is there something wrong? ThanksPatrick

I have a user on the system whose User Bearer Token is returning Unauthorised when we call the Miro API. Other users bearer tokens are fine with the same calls.Can you please let me know how to refresh the bearer token for this user or enable this token to be authorized?This user has many associated boards which they will still need to be able to retrieve.

I am developing a plugin using web api, where I read the miro board contents from javascript:Sample code:async function javascriptFunction() {          let selectedWidgets = await miro.board.selection.get() }This code works fine first time, but when the app is launched again, it gives error: Uncaught (in Promise) TypeError: cannot read property 'selection’ of undefined.  Anyone else faced this issue?

Hi, For some strange reason my sketch art-boards won’t sync to Miro. I keeps coming up with an error. I have tried the suggested solutions and nothing helps. Could someone please help me with this?
