This is a method of business process diagraming recommended by Salesforce. It has the advantage of greater depth of information but with fewer elements vs a typical swim lane diagram, for example. Here is an article from a blog about it: https://www.salesforceben.com/introduction-to-universal-process-notation-upn-for-salesforce-processes-mapping/Here is some intro training from Salesforce about it: https://trailhead.salesforce.com/content/learn/modules/business-process-mapping/understand-universal-process-notation
When inviting people to a Miro board, we can add a custom message to the invitation email. However, once the invitation has been sent, the message is no longer visible to the sender. It would be extremely helpful to either:View previously sent invitation messages in an invitation history, or Receive a copy of the invitation email (CC) in the sender's inbox.A simple profile setting such as "Email me a copy of board invitations" could be an easy and effective solution. Why this mattersBetter transparency of communication Easier follow-up with invited users Less confusion about what was communicated Helpful when collaborating with customers, partners, and external stakeholdersIf you've ever wondered "What exactly did I write in that invitation?", please give this idea an upvote 👍.Thanks for your support! 🚀
We used to get a nice grid view of boards within a space. This view has now been replaced by sidekick, which does not add any value to UX. I can now no longer sort my boards within a space alphabetically, which means I can no longer find what I need in an efficient way.
My team is transitioning to Miro from Mural and use the tool primarily for reviewing designs. In Mural, there was a great feature allowing you to arrange or align images into an evenly spaced row or grid. In Miro, there is the ability to align objects to the left, right, top, bottom etc. but it does not adjust the spacing between the objects. There is also the option to distribute them horizontally or vertically, but the distance between objects will depend on how far apart the first and last images are. I would really love the ability to align the spacing between the objects to get evenly spaced and consistent rows/grids.I’ve seen a couple similar posts out there but have not found a firm resolution on this. I am aware of the “auto layout” tool in Miro — it’s great! But it’s not solving this issue as you can drag the slider to any arbitrary spacing.
Miro is fantastic on a massive screen. It’s like you can see, arrange and rearrange your mind in 2d. The bright background and colours work well for feeling energised, fresh, and productive early in the day. For those of us who get more done during the night, however, the brightness can feel glaring and have the opposite effect, causing fatigue, especially with extended use.It feels like a godsend to night-owls that the software industry is finally recognising our needs with dark mode being added to everything. While the implementation would understandably be no small task, I, for one, would greatly benefit from dark mode being added to what has become a fantastic tool in my work and lifestyle.Thank you for Miro, and the Wishlist,Walter
Hi Miro team!I would really appreciate it if you could add a feature that allows users to upload audio files directly from their computer in the free version of Miro.At the moment, it seems that we can add videos from YouTube, but there is no option to upload an audio file from a computer. This is quite inconvenient, especially when using Miro for language learning and teaching. It would be very useful to have an option to upload audio files such as MP3 or WAV directly from a computer, just like we can add other types of files.I hope you will consider adding this feature to the free version. Thank you!
We build large Miro boards programmatically via the REST API v2 (70-100+ items, scripted, repeatable board population).Today there's no way to create a brand-new comment with position.type="attached" bound to a specific item via the API — any comment created this way always ends up as an unattached "canvas" comment instead, confirmed via testing and via Miro Support ticket #1015647.Support confirmed there's currently no REST endpoint for creating a new comment attached to an item at all — only replying to an existing comment_id is supported.Requesting a REST API endpoint (or an extension to the existing comments endpoint) that lets a new comment be created already bound to a specific item, matching what's possible manually through the UI. This would let automated board-population workflows leave contextual review comments in the right place without a manual reposition step afterward.
I’d like to request that Miro restore the legacy presenter transition behavior, or provide it as an optional mode in Presentation Mode. For years, I built my presentations around smooth panning and fly-through transitions between frames and concepts. That motion was not just cosmetic — it was a core part of how I structured and delivered my work. It made presentations feel connected, engaging, and distinctly Miro. This is now urgent for me because I have over a dozen slides/frames built around that capability, and I have an upcoming talk next week that depends on this presentation style. The newer static presentation experience materially disrupts that workflow and makes much of my existing work far less effective as designed.I also want to note that this approach had broader value beyond my own use. After previous talks, several people reached out asking how I built those slides, and some started using the same style themselves. That suggests this capability is valuable to more than just one workflow — it helps people create presentations that are memorable, interactive, and easy to follow.I completely understand that product direction evolves, but removing this behavior without an option to preserve it creates a real regression for long-time users. I respectfully ask that Miro either bring back the legacy transition behavior or add a toggle so users can choose between static slides and the smoother, more dynamic presentation style.
I often create a frame with a bunch of stickies that I use on my boards, like this: But when I am working on large flows, I need to keep moving this frame around or zoom in/out to access it. It would be great if you could select one frame or object that follows you as you move your board (based on cursor positioning, could have customization options) so that something you want accessible all the time remains in view.
we scale up our frame with shapes then shape text increasing font size.and we’re not able to adjust shape font size all together and we dont want to double click the shape to adjust font size one by one. can we have a feature to adjust shape text for all shapes selected?
If you sync your Miro board to your Azure board - the Azure cards within Miro do not allow you to update or showcase the options or capability with the actual Azure cards in the Azure system. it would be helpful in Miro to allow people to add tags, update the effort, add attachments, see child or related cards, etc. Without this functionality it makes trying to utilize Miro for planning limiting since we have to edit it Azure not Miro.
I love you Miro, but you did something like some months ago which I cant understand. Before, we used to put links there and they would stay there as an image, youtube videos as playable, and it was amazing. Then you added that bar on top, that keeps changing size, getting on top of other stuff, causing missclicks and looking horrible. All buttons there and everything that bar allows us to do.. I dont think are necessary, could all go to a right click menu :(At least give us a way to disappear with that thing in the settings, not individually like clicking on each to hide, just for making it go forever in the interfaces of those who like me, cry everyday because of that bar. Thanks!
Would love to see a way to integrate Smart sheets into Miro, espcially Dashboards!
Company Admins in the Business plan should have the ability to adjust/manage board ownership and co-owners.As a Company Admin on a Business account, I’m not able to manage ownership of any boards where I’m not already an owner. When staff changes (or is otherwise unavailable), re-assigning individual boards becomes extremely difficult, and sometimes involves signing in as a different person temporarily just to adjust ownership of a board.
During workshops in large boards ideas to certain topics are caputured in sticky notes with a tag. This is done quickly where the writer is working. It would be nice to be able to search all sticky notes with a tag and align them within a frame e.g. Parkinglot. At the end of a workshop the team could align all parkinglot ideas, all future tasks, just do its…… into their frames.
Currently, the REST API v2 has no way to programmatically create a board from a Miro template (either built-in gallery templates or custom team templates). The only workaround is PUT /v2/boards?copy_from={board_id}, which requires the caller to have access to the source board's team and satisfy its copyAccess policy. This makes it impractical for scenarios where a central team maintains a template and distributed users need to instantiate it independently.A dedicated endpoint (e.g. POST /v2/boards with a from_template parameter, or a separate POST /v2/templates/{id}/instantiate) would allow teams to publish reusable board templates that API consumers can instantiate without needing direct access to the source board or its owning team. This is a common pattern in other collaboration tools (e.g. Confluence page templates, Jira project templates).Use case: we maintain a complex workshop board template (100+ frames, stickies, images, diagrams) that field consultants need to instantiate per engagement.Today we must populate each board programmatically from scratch via dozens of API calls because the copy_from approach requires team membership the end users don't have.
We would like to embed a notion page within Miro, much like how Google Docs are embeddable, and editable. For now, we would have to embed either a link which takes the user off the Miro (and suffers from being not that high-bandwidth, i.e. its hard to know what the Notion link is going to). OR, we can copy the data into Miro. However, Notion’s tools for tables and some other content arrangement tools are quite nice, so it would be great if Notion → Miro embedding was supported.
