Custom shapes / polygons / polylines (Similar to functions in Powerpoint or Bluebeam)

Having the ability to draw custom shapes and change both their outline line type and fills would be incredible.  Currently this is a major feature lacking for drawing/sketch/annotating.

The feature would be similar to a “polyline” or “polygon” tool in other software, where you can add/remove points to create custom shapes, closed curves, etc.

To me, this is maybe the main thing missing in Miro. It’s really needed.

I work at Vinci Construction, and we’ve had a Miro subscription since last year.
I’ve already shared with the Miro France sales team that this feature is crucial for our work in the construction industry, and I asked if they could escalate the idea to your development team. I’m not sure if that has been done yet.

The Miro workspace is very valuable for our construction activities.
One of our key deliverables is the zoning of spaces and areas, which we create from existing building plans that are often irregular in shape.
We need to zone and divide these areas to illustrate the project schedule and guide on-site teams using graphical phasing plans.

I would even say that this graphical representation is the backbone of the planning process and of all communication between project teams.
Right now, I’m really frustrated that we don’t have this functionality, which would allow us to control geometries and then assign colors accordingly.

It seems like My Shapes in the Shapes → More shapes → My Shapes → Upload SVG partially solves this question. You still need an additional software like Inscape to create those polygons, but they can at least be imported into Miro boards
