I was editing my board and all of a sudden parts of it disappeared so I clicked undo and then all of the board contents disappeared. I went into board history to try and restore it but when I click restore none of it comes back. How do I get what was on the board back?my screen looks like this
HI there, I have created a graph with bunch of nodes (sticky notes) and gave them colours.Nothing unusual. Now, I would like to use other colours to indicate another property of the nodes. Also I would like to have possibility to could assign sticky note colours (and other properties) to layers and then use different colour coding to preview different property, using layers functionality. If Miro already offers this, or something similar. Please let me know. Kind regards,A
Dear all, I’m currently building a React app to generate automated miro exercises. The goal is that a user has the possibility to start an exercise and be directly forwarded to a board in our organization with public access rights. Currently I’m having difficulties to create these boards via the API outside the Developer Team. As far as I understood, I can export my application to other teams, but then I can't create an access token for this team or cannot access this team with my old one. It seems like I need to generate a new access token. But I’m incapable to do it. I would be happy about any help. Or please provide information on how else I could generate these boards outside the developer team. See below for my basic interaction diagram. Thank you!Best regardsSandro
I know you can make boards a template, but if I put that out there for a “guest” to use, when they use it, does it function is a similar way to Microsoft products….meaning, when someone opens a template, it automatically creates a copy preserving the original template? If it is possible, would love someone to let me know how. If not possible, would love to see it as an option in the future.
Hello,I want to do some personal and perhaps shared SenseMaking around topics going on in the world. I am going to be intentionally vague about which topics and what SenseMaking means -- I don’t want to limit your responses. There are some rigorous models out there, I am open to less rigorous, more casual options. I think in terms of a central question or thesis I am exploring. Coming out of that might be some sort of nodes to organize related thoughts. Individual nuggets might be facts or assertions -- perhaps they are “true”, perhaps they are up for debate. Maybe you could doulble click on the idea and get more information. In an ideal world, it would be like Miro as an interface on top of Obsidian (notes). So like a mind map with some extra finesse I suppose. If anyone is interested in describing what they do or sharing a screen shot, that would be cool. Cheers,Rob.
When I clicked the Voting function on the bottom left of my screen, a sidebar shows up on the right hand side but it’s blank. I tried it using multiple browsers, getting my colleague to try it, and also tried selecting some sticky notes (as options for the vote) before clicking the Voting button but it still yields the same result (blank sidebar). Can anyone please help solve this? I’m on a paid license through my firm.
I would like to have a higher quality export quality for paid teams. We upgraded from free version but only received 100 kb better quality on export of the pdf from 400 kb to 500 kb. I have searched the community and my board does not adhere itself to being split up into frames for separate HD downloads. Any ideas?
Hi! I have the problem that one of my colleagues just lost his license somehow and now he is not anymore the owner of his boards. Who is becoming the new owner? And does the license can not be automatically extended after one year? He did not get any mail to extend it or that he would be kicked out of his license. Greetings Judith
Jason Knight is a rather angry and sometimes rude writer, but he's often spot on when throwing tantrums on accessibility and web development. This time his rant is about GDPR, and it's quite entertaining:"You use a file from a server, they 'get your ip address'. No shit, that’s how the web works. But because of the tinfoil hat crowd losing their shit over the simplest of things, they have ruled that any time you use a file that’s not hosted by your own domain, you are in violation of EU law. This makes the asshat 'cookie warning’ numb-nuttery look almost sane by comparison."Funny ‘cause it's true. 😄https://medium.com/codex/why-the-eus-gdpr-is-so-dumbass-6f8ecd99ef9f
have been trying to get miroBoard picker working for a while now. have submitted the app twice, and it was working for a while, but then it stopped. When we try to go ‘whiltelist’ the domain, it won’t let us → it says it’s an invalid domain, no matter what we put in (including localhost) Been struggling for about 2 months now, have sent in multiple enquiries, but no response. have a paid account with 20 members. any tips?
My team massively used the Cards Panel to see what cards were we assigned to in a Scrum Board. I just read in this article that it was deprecated - why was this deprecated and is there a workaround/feature that can be used to achieve the same?
Hey all!Hope you’ve been doing well.We have a few new employees that are about to start and I’m curious if you have any favorite onboarding templates in the Miroverse, or fun ways you’ve used Miro to onboard new employees.I’m looking to be a bit better this go-round on setting expectations for the new employees. We already have a pretty good “handbook” running with all of the log ins and people they’ll meet, but I’m looking for something a bit more tailored to how to onboard someone for a specific role.Curious to hear your thoughts! PS: don’t forget about our first event, getting to know you on Friday at 9am Pacific time!
Hello,I like that every object on a miro board has a URL attached to it.This makes contextual computing very useful. You can link back to something and know that you will find it.Problem occurs however, when the object to which I linked is deleted.Sometimes this occurs because somebody wanted to replace one object with another.I would like to know how this might be solved. We have a document history and I wonder if it might be nice to offer an option to "Replace URL".For example, with the images, we have an option to "replate image". This option opens a window and lets the user pick a different image and replaces it.I would like to be able to go into the document history and pick a URL that was used prior and reuse it so that my documentation in Miro stays up to date. If I must delete something and replace it with a different object, I want to have an option to use the prior URL (and block that old object from being restored to the board unless it is as a new URL after that action has t
I have a team member who cannot add to our boards. I tried to follow a previous similar queries solution, but the options that appear for me are different to the ones suggested ie under Users, when I click the 3 dots next to the user name I do not get the option ‘can edit’, I only get ‘grant team admin’ or ‘delete from team’. Also in under the Users tab the ‘Board Access’ says 0, even though there are 2 boards.I don’t know if the fact that I use a mac is relevant to the options I get and how to edit permissions.
