Better, smoother Desktop App is here!

UPD] Hi there, We’ve released a new Desktop App version to everyone Here’s a full list of improvements:Main updatesUsers can FINALLY open board links (e.g. the ones shared with them on Slack) right in the desktop app. Spell checker is now available It’s possible to paste images right from the clipboardOther enhancementsThe app now uses up to 40% less RAM & supports Chinese, Korean, Japanese & Vietnamese languagesBug fixesSSO authorization now works in 100% cases Users don’t get randomly logged out anymore Keyboard shortcuts now work on boards as well as the dashboard Before, when users updated the app, in some cases it could get stuck in the infinite update loop. More secure Activity List 🔒
Activity List in Miro helps track changes made to boards by editors.In our effort to make collaboration in Miro even more secure, we’re updating the permissions to ensure that Activity List is available for board collaborators with the right permissions. Here are the changes we introduced: Activity List will be visible exclusively for board editors that were explicitly invited to boards via email or have the access to the board because they are part of a project or team in Miro. Board viewers & commenters will NOT see Activity List If the board is shared via link with the company or via a public link with anonymous Guest Editors, Activity List won’t be visible for them.

New feature: Board Content Copy Permissions
A few feature appears to be out of beta and has started showing up on various accounts, so I figured I would post about it.The feature? I’m unofficially calling it: Board Content Copy Permissions.As it turns out, I was close with the name. Here’s a link to the official Help Center article → Board Content settings DISCLAIMERI don’t work for Miro.Everything I am sharing with you here is what I discovered today on my own (and I will surely get some of it wrong). I have no idea when this will be available to other users or on which plan types.In short, this feature lets the board owner specify who should be allowed to copy content from within your board or the entire board, i.e., Duplicate it.The discoveryMy spouse had this new feature pop up on her Education Plan today.
