Developer platform and APIs

We had implemented Miro MCP for our test instances of OpenAI and Anthropic and it worked as we required. Now it seems that the ability to allow only read actions and restrict write actions are missing. Did something change with the MCP?

So is this a new feature or a bug?….. Cause basically how it worked before was - multi select, click out in empty or other object and it would unselect the previous selection and select that object. However with the shift selection it did work that way but now it just ONLY works like the shift selection where I have to do a drag selection to unselect or click on the empty canvas. I want it to just work how it did for the past 2 years how I have been using it which is just unselect upon selecting a new object unless shift selecting. 

Hi!I'm planning to use Miro in my development workflow, and since i have noticed that the API doesn't support a simple and quick way to “screenshot” or export a fast overview over a section of the board, I'm thinking of building a small bot that can browse the board and do this automatically (by acting as a user/browser). I'm not planning to execute any actions or let this bot act in rapid succession, just taking a image like this, no more than once a minute. This wouldn't put any more strain on Miro's servers more than another human user would.But, I want to check if this is something that could get me into trouble, or if this would be okay?If this was something that existed as a feature in the API, i would absolutely use that instead. The enterprise “export” feature is overkill for me. I want something quick and i don't need the high quality.Thanks,/Alfred

I am trying to automate replacing hundreds of images on our Miro boards via PATCHing the image.This works correctly for images that maintain their original aspect ratio, but for those that are cropped (e.g. to a circle, arbitrarily or otherwise) there is no mechanism for me to access the existing crop information and apply it to the new item.Please could you provide either a crop API or a mechanism to replace an image in-situ while preserving its crop data. 

I noticed presentation mode has changed, and most importantly the unhide frame button is now missing. We use to be able to see a list of all the frames (now it’s a pop up at the bottom corner which is fine), but there’s no way of unhiding as a owner/presenter of the board. This is a huge flaw that detracts from the experience. Unless i’m missing something, i need to end presentation mode, unhide, and have participants rejoin the presentation which is a huge negative to the experience. Am i missing something?

I am curious if this is a bug, or a setting issue. The odd thing, if it is a setting, is it works for most shapes in the diagram, then suddenly refused to work for others. The only two things that I can identify that might be responsible for breaking the alignment of the connectors is copy and paste and zooming in/out. The diagram below explains the issue. The two on the left would not align properly to the central or external geometric positions.  

I have a task have multiple deadline and repeat over year so i need to make a task in table that have 3 set start date and end date and i don’t want to “renew” the date so is there anyway to make the date repeatable and have multiple deadline for table ( so that when i switch the table to timeline, it’s better visualised ? )

Hello,Using AI to cluster post-its, of which I did not realize it moved the post-its in the canvas and not create a copy. I would like to change this back because the positioning of the post its is important (they were ranked).What I have attempted so far:In the history I cannot find the AI-edits in the history. In the activity log I do see that the change has happend although I don't see a way to restore it how it used to be.  I have checked in if the items have been moved to somewhere elseI would really like to restore this because it is not possible to recreate this.

Dear Team, We are using the Miro application on the Surface Hub 3 model and are unable to use the Miro whiteboard interactively, as multitouch functionality is not working.Currently, touch interaction is limited and users are unable to perform collaborative multitouch actions on the whiteboard.Kindly assist us with the required troubleshooting steps or provide a solution to resolve this issue at the earliest.

I tried to install and open the BPMN integration tool from Marketplace which seemed to work, but when I go to open it on a worksheet it can’t find the tool. I have a paid account, but not a business account. Do I need to upgrade to use this?

trying to get access to my miro board , i have not added anything on the board and in one night it’s not accessible . things i tried : -incognito mode-clear cache -different browsers - tried on PC and ipad Im able to to access to the tools but not move on the board or see anything in it .could someone help me out figure this out ?

I’m trying to use the Miro MCP to export complex system maps from my AI agent to Miro. The issue is that it always creates maps in the format of flow-chart or mind-map, instead of a proper system map with components, relationships, actors etc. I’ve also tried to use Miro’s AI function but that is also not able to generate these maps. What can be done to resolve this?The alternative is using Kumu which is better but my enterprise account is with Miro so would prefer to use that.

My most important Miro board won’t open - neither in the browser nor in thedesktop app. I already tried clearing the cache and opening it in an incognito window, but nothing helped. My other boards load normally, only this one gets stuck loading. The problem started after I tried copying an HTML code snippet generated by Claude AI into the board. Hi, I created an integration with miro that I just want to use it myself. I don't want to publish it. I have my own git repo and developed a codex skill. I think I had to create a developer team for this, and now I'm dealing with this developer watermark. Is there any way I can get rid of the watermark without having to publish my app? I have a paid plan. I want use Miro to work with my clients and I don't want them to deal with this huge Developer Team Watermark. 

I must be pressed some combo of commands that disconfigured my Text function.I used like 2 mounths without a problem, but someday using it, i tried to type something then textbox became strange… When I start typing, the letters don’t mantain position and only when I finish and click outside of the textbox I can see the full message.When I use Sticky Notes, for example, it write normally. As I type, the all text can be seen, not only last letter typed.The problem is only on Text. I recorded my screen to show better how it is, but I can’t find a way to upload it here :(

Whenever I open a board, it opens this annoying side panel prompting (haha) me to check out Miro’s AI companion tools or whatever. I can close it manually, but doing so every time and having it show up when I really will just close it every time is frustrating and tedious. Other help tickets have resolved a similar issue by clicking the three dots and disabling “run on board start up”, but since I’ve never used Sidekick and never will, I don’t have that option.The panel on the right is the one I’d like to get rid of. I am struggling to understand how to update/refresh Smart Screenshot from Miro that I have embedded into a word Document. I thought this might be a great tool to publish internal SOPs, by designing those The Microsoft marketplace for add-ins mentions “Refresh visuals in one click to keep content aligned with your latest updates”, but I see nowhere to click to do this.On Miro’s website, they mention this:Content embedded through the Miro side panel maintains a connection to the original Miro board. While it doesn't automatically sync, you can refresh the embedded content to ensure it reflects the latest version of your Miro board.https://help.miro.com/hc/en-us/articles/28926464707858-Smart-screenshots-for-Microsoft-OfficeYet it does not explain how to refresh the content….Does anyone knows how to do this? Or is this a bit a of a lie, and refreshing means to re-embed each time? In which case, this is hardly a better tool than Sniping tool imo.

Hi - first time dropping a question but this is something thats really causing me issues - in Kanban when not working in cavas, but zoomed in view. If you open the record as a side panel it use to open on the left. and push the board further along so you could see all your columns and still have the side panel out. Its not moved to the right and covers up the end columns - so you have to close the side panel to change any data.Anyway of changing this back? Is there something I can configure?
