Synced Copies are extremely useful for maintaining a single source of truth across multiple boards.
However, synced content is currently completely locked, including the inability to copy individual objects contained within a synced frame.
We are not requesting editing capabilities.
We would like Synced Copies to remain read-only while allowing users to:
• Select objects inside a Synced Copy
• Copy those objects to another area of the board
• Preserve the synchronization and read-only behavior of the original synced content
Use case:
Our Style team maintains a master collection board with more than 300 products. Marketing teams use the same products to build campaign curations, moodboards and presentations.
Synced Copies solve the update and synchronization problem, but the inability to copy products from the synced frame creates unnecessary manual work.
Allowing object-level copy while keeping the Synced Copy locked would make Synced Copies much more useful as live catalogs for retail, fashion, marketing and product teams.
