I created a prototype in Miro and shared to a client (as a guest, but with edit access) but he is unable to play it. Any ideas how to fix?  

So here goes nothing—because honestly, I’m starting to believe this issue will never be resolved. I started using Miro as a collaborative tool, and on October 30, 2025, I paid for what was labelled as a “renewal” on the invoice I received. I thought I was all set. I even put a reminder in my calendar so I’d remember to cancel the subscription before the deadline.I used Miro a handful of times, and today I suddenly receive an invoice for 18 euros because some of my students apparently had “licenses.” Only now do I learn there’s an extra cost for that—something I was absolutely unaware of, largely because the subscription model is so ridiculously convoluted. At no point was it made clear that I’d be charged for every user who joins a virtual board I’m using in class.This feels completely unfair, and it should be stated very clearly from the very beginning. I have a problem with the Miro desktop app on Windows. I carefully studied the FAQ and checked all possible solutions with the support bot. I cleared the application data (via Alt → Help → Reset application data), manually deleted all residual folders in AppData, and reinstalled the app using the latest version from the official website. However, the app does not prompt for login at any point. It only launches in guest mode and doesn't allow me to use my account or any collaboration features.Has anyone else experienced this issue where the desktop app is stuck in guest mode and never asks for login credentials? How did you resolve it? Any ideas or workarounds would be greatly appreciated. 

HiSometimes I (or better: the other person) have the problem, that someone I share a board with is asked to log in before being able to see the board. Though I chose “Anyone with the link can edit”. Luckily this happens only a few times. But why does that happen? Not all of my guests have a miro account.

I received an email to renew my educational account, but when I click the link I get an error message. How can I extend my educational account? I don't want to lose my boards on MIRO.!--endfragment>!--startfragment>

Dear Miro Support Team, I am a university student in Australia. I have an complaint regarding how Miro’s design flaws have negatively impacted my grade in an assessed assignment. Here is what happened: For a group assignment, a classmate invited me into their Miro team to collaborate. Later, due to health reasons, I stopped working in that group and planned to complete the assignment separately. Within that same team space, I created my own board for my work, because on my side there was no clear option to leave the team or to create a board in a truly personal/independent workspace, unless I create a new account. Hello!I'm a Doctoral Student of Social Work and I have a presentation this Thursday and I created a Board for a closed Card Sort (4 Groups/12-20 Cards) as an activity during my presentation (7-9 classmates will share the board). Now that I've created the Board, I don't know what to do next. Can some help me with how to go about checking to see if will work properly. Initially, I thought that my classmates could sort their own card deck simultaneously on the same board, is this capable of being done or do they have to share the same deck of cards to sort? PLEASE HELP!!!

I want to cancel my subscription but it won’t let me. Therefore, I would like someone to cancel my subscription to ensure it doesn’t transition to a paid plan after the trial period. Dear Miro Community & Team, I just opened my Miro and realized I forgot to cancel my free trial :( It is Business plan so it’s very expensive and I can’t afford to pay for this mistake. As you notice, I tried the free trial using personal email so it is not paid by my company at all (although it’s for work purpose). My salary can’t cover this :(I really need your kind support to help me cancel all the subscription & the outstanding. Please. Thank you very much!

unable to download board back up 

I have the free version of smartsheet and am now trying to install the widget in Miro. Once it asks me to sign in to smartsheet, i receive an error message, saying that there is no user and i should try a different region. Anyone knows what to do? 

When copying a set of slides from one board to another board, the frames title is lost and reset back to just the default ‘slides.’ (see screenshot)

I am writing to kindly request access to an extended free Miro plan.I have read that Ukrainian users can receive full access to Miro free of charge during the war, and I would like to confirm whether I am eligible for this option, as I greatly need it for my work.I actively use Miro in my teaching: I create interactive boards for lessons, organize collaborative work for my students, and plan educational materials. I received an invitation to a board, so created an account.  Now I only have access to a blank startup page and every time I click on the invitation link, it only takes me to my startup page.   How is this supposed to work??? 

Does anyone know why the tasks and projects are not showing up in this list?why I can't add clickup tasks anymore to my miro board since two weeks?

I’m not sure if I’m going crazy or if its a bug in Miro. Is anyone else losing layer information from the shapes/lines on their boards?I use Miro’s layers feature to separate overlays of information (shapes on top of shapes). For example a single floor plan can show the basic floor plan and then I unhide a layer to show the electrical, ventilation, or plumbing plans overlaid on the flor plan.Its occuring enough to drive me nuts. Objects that I am 99% sure I assigned to a layer are reverting to the default layer, hours or days after I originally drew them.

Dear Miro team and users, I became a Miro user while I was employed. There, I created a board that is very important to me. It’s a big sandbox for personal projects.Then I left the company.A nice colleague managed to recover the board and send me a file. I downloaded Miro on my personal computer and created a personal Miro account. I purchased a Pro membership to be able to import the file.I have this board + another new one on my personal account, and none of them have extra team members.After a few months I stepped back to a Free membership.My legendary board is not editable anymore (but my second board is).Also, I can’t copy or duplicate it. Why is that? Should I be paying $10/month as an unemployed person to continue using my board? I hope I made the situation clear and understandable but feel free to ask any question.Thanks a lot for your help. Louis

I’d like to get the free education plan, but when I tried to fill out the application it wouldn’t accept my personal gmail address, which means I can’t submit it. I’m a substitute teacher for multiple public school districts and have proof easily available, but no edu or k12 or business email address. How may I apply to get the education plan? Thank you! :) 

Is it impossible to align text in mind map?When I select branch of mind map, I can’t see any text aligning tool.

Can’t open any Miro boardsI’ve already tried:clearing cache and browser history using incognito mode using different browser restarting browser restarting my computerNothing seems to help :(I can’t use the desktop version as well. Are there any other possible solutions for this problem?

I cannot load www.miro.com. My internet is fine. I just see the loading logo loading continuously. If I try the desk app: open login see blank screen with ‘pretty print’ checkbox top left can go ‘back to login’ but otherwise the page is blank This seems like a serious problem. Do I offload important content just in case?
