Presenting with Engage Tools

I am leading a presentation in Miro where I use engage tools. I am sharing my board with external participants through Microsoft Teams. I want the external participants to be able to use the Engage Tools, but not be able to unlock elements, comment using text, etc. Is there a way to do this?

How do I remove the QR code from showing on external participants screens? I want this feature to not show at all while in presentation mode.

HI @mkronengold

Thanks for your questions! Since both are about the same presentation setup, I've merged your posts to keep everything in one place.

I'd like to check a few details so I can better understand your setup while I also verify this internally:

  • Are the external participants joining the board as visitors, guests, or members?

  • Are you presenting the board directly in Miro, or are you sharing it through a Microsoft Teams meeting while participants also have the board open?

  • Regarding the QR code, is it appearing for everyone viewing the presentation or only for the external participants?

I'll look into both questions and get back to you once I have more information.

Hi Eca,

  • Thanks for your help! I am presenting directly into Miro through Microsoft Teams.
  • The QR code shows for everyone.
  • My main concern is control - I just want people to be able to interact with the engage features.
