Has anyone ever created a reading list Miro board? Any examples?
So we are keen on creating a list of educational and informative material that the whole product design team can contribute to and take value from. This could be books, online resources and also courses. A Trello list is our first option, or a spreadsheet. But I was wondering if anyone had created a board in Miro in an intuitive way that could accommodate a collaborative reading list? It’s a basic one, but keen to see how creative others have been!
Have you used Miro for employee recognition/appreciation during virtual meetings?
Every month, our larger department team has a virtual team meeting. We wanted to introduce Miro as a way of injecting some interactivity into the meeting. One idea we had was to incorporate some sort of employee recognition into it so I was wondering what ideas the community had.Have you ever run activities that incorporate employee recognition or appreciation?Things to consider:There will probably be anywhere from 65-80 people attending, all virtually through Teams. Most have never used Miro and many likely haven’t used an online whiteboard. The meeting is an hour but we can count on some department updates and Q&A, so the activity should only be 30-45 minutes.
Dyspraxia and Miro
Hi, I recently ran a workshop over Miro, which involved a lot of people putting sticky notes on a matrix. It turn into a beautiful colourful mess, which was exactly what I was looking for. However, at the end of the session the host of the workshop told me that someone had sent them a direct message saying that they could not participate because they had dyspraxia and struggled with all the colours and moving parts. I was therefore wondering if anyone else had experienced this and whether they had any tips to make their Miro boards more inclusive and accommodating to those who have dyspraxia.
"Miro is the new website"
I’m very sure many of us in this community are business owners or work for organisations with a website presence. I too have one that I built and manage for my consultancy. However, based on my experience (and I assume for my potential clients too), trying to get a good overview of a business or an organisation can be a little painful: lots of clicking around and lots of nested information while trying to piece together a coherent big picture. Often times we also resort to sending “one sheet profile PDF” of our business (or CV/resume for job candidates) to whomever may be interested. However, anything longer than 2-3 pages can be a negative for a prospect or a hiring person. What if there’s a way to present all this information on ONE interactive page? One big picture view that gives a wholesome perspective. Presenting my hack: using Miro to tell my company’s story! #miromarketingEverything that we can do and deliver is presented in this Miro board. A use case: While some prospects maybe
Appreciate personal service offered by Balazs (Miro Support & Help ctr)
I would like to share my little story about experience on Miro. I heard about Miro from approach of Miro consultant in HK, and they offered me and my colleagues about function of Miro board. After that, I moved to new company and I need to work on a details workplan about system requirement. I started to use Miro. Miro is user friendly and I made a great work plan on Miro. But trouble comes when I need to export my workplan the output is in very low resolution. Upgraded subscription is required to out a clear pdf. From the billing article which (mislead me / I misunderstand) they charge with prorate, and currency is not shown. I found the problem after paid a month subscription and the CS, Balazs helps a lot on my case with patient which I would like to show my appreciation on it. Other than that, day pass provide a high flexibility to user which is now only offered to enterprise or consultant. I would strongly recommend to provide this flexibility to all users.
How do you design your Miro board for training and workshops?
Dear Miro community,as we have seen in the past few months, Miro is not only the perfect tool for collaboration and ideation, but also a platform for delivering educational events, like training and workshops.Today we'd like to open the topic of visual structure of your Miro boards. Since the space to use in Miro is unlimited, it may not come as a surprise that many of us feel unsure of how to organize our own boards to keep the structure clear and have a natural flow. There are many things to consider:the amount of the content the structure of the delivery the public the intuitiveness of the layoutThere are also many components in Miro that allow us to design a board:templates frames shapes drag-and-dropsCombining it all into an intuitive board with a good flow is no easy task, that's why now is the time to learn from each other! We've prepared some examples that may come in handy when considering the layout of your next training or workshop:The linear layout comes as a natural selectio
Bragging rights: Share the most creative artwork you have made natively within Miro!
As inspired by @Sam Shennan, this is a call to all the creative folks out there who are using Miro! If you have created some artwork natively (i.e. without copying and pasting or uploading content from outside of Miro) which you feel is worthy of exhibition in a museum (or at least your foyer ), please share it with the rest of the Miro community below! To avoid conflict of interest and because I don’t have a visual creative bone in my body, I will not be submitting my “chicken scratch” Miro drawings Since I guess I should share just how bad my drawings are: (It’s an eye if you were having difficulties with it :-) )
"Architecture Masters' Students Work Virtual Exhibition on Miro"
It has been a different year, one that pushed us to reinvent ourselves and the way we work. I am pleased to invite you to visit the MARK-19 exhibition on Miro, which I willingly initiated. Together with three other classmates, we carried out the first online exhibition of Lund School of Architecture!. Link to Miro *: In March 2020, about 11 months ago, we could no longer be freely physically together in our studios in A-building at Lund University. When I asked my friends studying in different universities how they handled this change in the study procedure, I became familiar with the Miro platform as a whiteboard for teamwork and collaboration. Simultaneously, when I thought about not having an exhibition during my master’s studies, I felt the mission was incomplete. And most of all, the desire to be in our big group again, the Lund architectural family, which is valuable to me although short in presence. All of which went hand in hand with an idea to initiate this way. To use Miro a
Trick: Show the real name of an anonymous Guest Editor
Are you a board owner who has facilitated a Miro board session with external, non-team participants and want to see their name beside their cursor* and not some random “Guest” name, e.g., Guest Editor, Guest Artisan, Guest Researcher? While the typical workaround is for that guest editor to first sign up for a free Miro account, there is another way.*While I will keep referring to the benefit of the guest editor’s “name showing beside their cursor”, their name will also show up in:the participants panel (top-right of board); activity List pane (history of actions taken by that user); comments; an object’s Info pane, e.g., Created by: Bob Smith.--Disclaimer: The steps outlined in this post are a number of different Miro functionalities at the time of this post that I found, when combined, could accomplish my desired outcome. The ability to give an anonymous Guest Editor a name should not be considered a supported feature and therefore you should not contact Miro Support if these steps d
Miro at Agile Ceremonies
Hi Miro Heroes ! Maybe this has been questioned before (but i didn’t found )I use Miro, mostly for Agile Ceremonies and even for PI plannings and other Scrum stages. I would like to enhance Miro. Can you, experienced Miro users, tell me how and when you use it? It really helps within the remote work and narrow the difficulties? How is your team response and feedback regardin Miro ? Did you improve it with personal templates or just follow the basics ? I would love to hear your inputs and improve my own experience! Best regards,Pedro Silva
¿Cuáles son las plantillas que más usas? ¿Has comenzado tus propias plantillas?
Has anyone started a new job since the Pandemic began?
Hey Everyone, Brad from Miro here. Quick question:Has anyone in our community joined a new company since the start of the pandemic? Are you working closely with people you’ve never met in person? Have you worked into a new culture without experiencing it in the office? How is it going? I’m interested in hearing your experience. What’s working well? What could companies do to make remote onboarding easier? Has Miro helped you feel connected with your team? Thanks so much for any insights you’d like to share. If you’re not comfortable sharing here, please feel free to email me at firstname.lastname@example.orgThank you!
To the general tone of some postings - Wishlist-wishes
Hello,as someone who often enough is filling the wishlist with his own wishes:I’ve noticed sometime a harshly demanding tone to make clear that a wish is urgently needed. We all know this - And everyone here can be sure:Miro knows about the urgent states of wishes. But please remember this:Miro is a great growing company that has over 15 million people using miro and it has grown so fast.Miro listens to every wish but it is a company that has to take care about much much more at this point … that doesn’t mean that we cannot vote for our wishes here… that doesn’t mean we cannot ask from time to time what about thisbut it cannot allow us to ask in the wishlist:“would you please respond to the requested topic”Miro got’s it’s own strategy in responding or in not respondig to requests and like in every company there are things that miro is not able to talk about with us because we are customers and not mironeers - Whoever works with customers knows:You’re not sharing everything you plan in yo
Using Miro as the knowledge base, possible?
Do distributed/remote teams use Miro as a knowledge centre? I simply wish to store somewhat unorganised notes from Slack somewhere. It would be cool to add visual stuff and keep them tidy in one place. Do you believe it would be a smart idea to use Miro as an all-in-one silo for all company knowledge and processes, and notes. As a founder of a young startup I try to keep the budget lean. It would be great if we could avoid paying extra for tools like Notion or Confluence. Please share your thoughts.

Loving the new Grid tool!
The new Grid tool showed up in my Miro environment today and I love it compared to the basic table tool! The ability to easily move columns and rows around, to have multiple collaborators able to edit different cells at the same time and to drop objects into the cells are a big step forward. Now, I just have to go back to all the boards in which I’d created “fake” grids using rectangles and combinations of text boxes and other objects and replace them with grids ! Kiron
Using Miro for an online conference as a message/idea board
I would like to use Miro for an upcoming virtual conference. There will be about 300 attendees, so they will all have their own email addresses. Can I create a board and send them a link to access it and edit it even thought they do not have email addresses with the same domain Name as me?
Kudos to Robert for getting to #1 overall!
As you can see below, @Robert Johnson, is within a hair of passing my score as “All time” active member of the community! I’ve held this position for a number of months and am more than happy to pass my “gold medal” to Rob who provides an unbelievable level of support to the members of this community! Great work Rob, and richly deserved!Kiron
To find suitable Miro templates
Could you please suggest which Miro templates are suitable for the below items:1. Interactive Product Integration diagrams - To represent the integration of different softwares in a company 2. Compatiblity Matrix - To create a compatibility matrix having different third party software used within a product. It would be helpful to suggest how to display alerts in this(any template) when some criteria is not met
Miro board designers for workshops: do they exist?
Hi everyone, my business has an 8 month B2B Strategic Partnerships Program that in the old days of f2f workshops, we delivered in 3 modules of 2-3 days per module (plus some other support activities like one-on-one coaching). We initially moved 2 of the program modules online using Zoom, PDFs of our original workshop materials, and then Mural. And then we discovered the joy of Miro and have been using it with shorter programs since the end of 2020.We are now looking at redesigning our 8 month program to be completely online, with all the content in Miro - both our design and the participants’ work over the 8 months too. While we’ve been forced to gain a bit of experience doing this over the last year, we’re trying to find a Miro expert with (we guess) a visual design / UX design background who can help us:1) design an overall Miro board(s) structure that supports the program’s structure and participant activities - which we’ve redesigned to move from f2f to online delivery;2) create a co

Liberating Structures using Miro!
I am sure many of you have already used different techniques to create your workshops. I am consistently dipping into Liberating Structures to string together experiences. I’ve used a few for clients and have also actively experimented with a number in Miro to get a sense of where they can work smoothly or otherwise. My list so far:1-n-4-AllConversation CafeTRIZDraw TogetherUX FishbowlWhat Liberating Structures have you tried building with Miro? Miro and ISO training--my transformation
Like many others, pivoting from in-person training to virtual training was painful using Zoom, teams, LiveWebinar and Webex. The topic of international standards like ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and ISO/IEC 17025 have the potential to be incredibly boring, even in person. My role play roles and physical gestures were a mainstay to keep students awake! It only took seeing Miro once to already see the potential for engagement of every person in the room and deepening their understanding. And most of all, be able to apply the concepts!Building in Miro for the activities was straightforward thanks to being able to use or create templates. The timer keeps people honest. For training, Miro saved the day.Within our own company, however, we have taken uses of Miro to the next level. We use it to design training by mind mapping concepts and then ordering content in logical sequences. And of course, rearranging the content and activities as the concepts get refined.I love having easy access t
Zoom / Size best practices?
I’m brand new to Miro and working on creating a large board for facilitating an all day workshop for a smallish group. I initially started by copying over some templates, but as I got comfortable I just started creating my own thing. I’ve discovered that I’m having to use text sizes of 900 for example, and the zoom is set to just a few %. Is there any problem with this? Should I be targeting using “normal” text sizes and doing everything at 100%, or is it totally irrelevant as long as I keep things in proportion to one another?I’m worried that I’m going to get even more hours into setting this up and suddenly realize that actually having apparently huge everything actually screws me up somehow.Any thoughts much appreciated! Thank you,
