First off, I love Slides, I think they are great and I use them all the time. One thing I run into is that if I make a longer deck, the Slides frame gets very wide and will run into other sections of the board that I already have set up. Resizing the Slides frame makes all the text sizing a pain (sometimes I can’t make the text any smaller even though it looks pretty big on the small slide size). It would be amazing to have the option to somehow consolidate the slides into a smaller space, with the option to click through them on the board or enter focus mode to view. Thanks for considering!
Use Case: Large workshops where we have lots of people moving sticky notes aroundWhat problem are you trying to solve:As a facilitator, I often use sticky notes as a method for capturing requirements or tasks. Often we use different colour of the sticky note to denote the creator or the logical grouping. I have a need as part of this session facilitation to take a large mix of colour coded sticky notes, and sort them into groups by colour. Is it a critical feature that blocks you from working in Miro and being productive, or is it a nice to have feature? This blocks me a little, as the only workaround adds significant overhead to the process and slows down the flow of the group’s output. What is a possible solution for you?The only process I have found to allow this is tagging the notes, but this adds significant overhead to the process and slows down the team’s progress.
The Org Chart app is awesome! And the import from CSV is slick and really helpful. But we also need to export it back to a CSV.I create an org chart from CSV with 20 people on it. I find 10 more people to add. It is much easier to do this via CSV. But I’ve also made small changes to the org chart in miro. Export back to CSV <new> Add the 10 new people to the CSV Re-Import the CSV now with 30 people. This feature would also be useful to connect to other org chart tools that read from CSV.
To quickly change colours on the board based on other colours would be very convenient :) Cheers,Connor
As a PM / developer / stakeholder, I want to be able to zoom-in on a Jira card and see the description with text formatting / markdown render so that I can get a structured read and clear understanding of the issue detail. Our team exclusively use Miro for Backlog Refinement and Sprint Planning in the absence of physical whiteboards. Converting stickies to Jira issues is incredibly helpful in our workflow but once the description has been detailed with acceptance criteria, etc. it becomes almost ineligible to read on the working Miro board without markdown rendering.
As a company admin I have been asked multiple times on how to change the colors on the new dot voting widget. As this is currently not possible I would like to see the option to change the colors implemented in the future.
ProblemCreating a system map with post its and connection lines is very time consuming, as I have to manually attach each line to the center. The default is attaching it to the side of an item:Reason I want them to be attached to the center is to make it possible to re-order item easily, without having to move the lines myself.SolutionConnect the connecting lines to the center by default. Why do I need this? For making a system map I am using text with border and connection lines.I mark the arrows with a + or – to show if the influence is either positive or negative.Getting an overview of parts that interconnect and influence each other. With the arrows I show the direction, so which item influences what item.First idea would be to use the mind map tool, however I have reasons for not using the mind map tool:The arrows overlap while having more children It is not possible to add text to the connection lines The connection lines are lines and not arrowsThis is used to expose and visualize problem areas and communicating about it.So basically, I am trying to create a more advanced mind map, than the mind map tool allows me to do.
Hi Miro team, I love using Miro for mind mapping and visual thinking — thank you for building such a powerful tool! However, I find it frustrating that the default connector lines in Mind Map mode are always angular (zigzag style), and there’s no way to change the default style to curved or smooth lines. I prefer using curved connections for a more natural flow and visual clarity, but currently I have to manually adjust each connector one by one, which becomes very time-consuming. It would be incredibly helpful if Miro allowed users to: Set a default connector style (curved, straight, elbow) for Mind Maps Or remember the last used connector style and apply it to new connections Please consider adding this as a feature — it would greatly improve the UX for many visual thinkers and save a lot of time. Thank you for your amazing work! Best regards,Anastasia
My team is transitioning to Miro from Mural and use the tool primarily for reviewing designs. In Mural, there was a great feature allowing you to arrange or align images into an evenly spaced row or grid. In Miro, there is the ability to align objects to the left, right, top, bottom etc. but it does not adjust the spacing between the objects. There is also the option to distribute them horizontally or vertically, but the distance between objects will depend on how far apart the first and last images are. I would really love the ability to align the spacing between the objects to get evenly spaced and consistent rows/grids.I’ve seen a couple similar posts out there but have not found a firm resolution on this. I am aware of the “auto layout” tool in Miro — it’s great! But it’s not solving this issue as you can drag the slider to any arbitrary spacing.
We want to be able to see labels from JIRA on the JIRA Cards that we get through the integration
This would be such a game changer, when on the canvas we could just use Google earth, with the arc gis ability to create maps, and also ability to create digital realestate projects- like add 3d objects- I know this is hard, but I think it is doable!
Hi, We want to report on the impact we have on the planet. So we really need to know the carbon footprint we have using Miro. That’s why my idea is that you share our impact in our team plan, how much kg CO2 we have used in the past year. And maybe with some tips how to lower our impact? Thanks,Edwin
Focus view - to focus on small specifc branches or areas of the mind map at a timeFocus garden/pet - make the focus timer more interactiveDistraction-Free Focus ModeVisual Progress TrackingChunking & SubtasksIntegrated Calendar & Reminders I am sure there are other functions that exist but these are the ones I can think of Ayoa promotes itself as neurodiverse freindly and interacting with their platform I really think they are. It’s just that I prefer the functional part of Miro to actually make the mind map to best represent my brain. https://www.ayoa.com/neurodiversity/adhd/
The Miroverse is currently not available from US servers. This was a huge selling point to my Org and I wanted to request it. We are really missing out on the available templates.
Security engineer here. While colaborating with the team responsible for the Miro Organization on my company we encountered an issue: I am tasked with building a Miro App for an integration that requires me to be able to list all members on the Miro Organization through the Miro API (/v2/orgs/{org_id}/members). Nevertheless, If I want to do this I need to be granted Company Admin access, which would in turn allow me to modify anything on the Miro Organization. My proposal is simple: Have more granular permissions or new Admin Role Types that would, uppon being granted to a user of the organization, allow that user to perform Read-Only operations on all resources of the organization. Maybe a Security Audit Role / Read-Only Admin Role just so these kind of list/read operations would be permitted without allowing a user to modify the whole organization.
I do not really know why the /v2/orgs/{org_id}/members endpoint does not return the Display Name for every user on the organization, considering that the /v2/boards/{board_id}/members endoint (list members of a board) does. Just thought this feature could be useful, for example when building integrations through apps to manage the users in the Miro Org.
