Hi everyone   Every Monday we tell you about all the amazing templates we publish on Miroverse We would now love to introduce the creators behind all the work This week I talked to @DWestgarth, the creator of Star Wars Sith Lord Retrospective, Star Wars Jedi Master Retrospective, NBA Retrospective and more, and asked him about his Miroverse story, template inspirations, and his future template plans   How did you get into Miroverse? I got my first look at Miroverse taking part in the Miro Retrospective template challenge. I was blown away by the number and variety of templates available there as previously I’d used Miro exclusively for retro templates but now find myself looking at everything from org structures to UX assets and tonnes of agile event resources!It’s really helped me diversify the tasks and templates I create on Miro and it’s also a great resource to get my creative hat on and start putting together engaging and useful content for my org and teams.  Why Retro templates?

Hiya,  This week we have our annual offsite at Miro!  Usually, offsite is an event when the entire distributed Miro team comes together to a single place to work and have fun together.Due to You-Know-What, this year our offsite (just like in 2020) was transformed into a HUGE virtual event  And this is so cool! I am seeking a consultant/ freelancer who can support our foresight workshops on a periodic basis. I realize this is not a job board, but it is difficult to find people who might do this work. (Also was not sure where to post this)Thanks for any recommendations! Amy

Like many of you, I am using Miro for live online participatory workshop events. Almost all of the people attending my events are brand new to Miro, and by far the most difficult part of the workshop is getting them over that first hurdle of learning how to use the tool well enough to participate. Half of the difficulty is teaching them what they should avoid doing by accident!   This is much more difficult for people who are not digital natives, and in larger groups it is almost guaranteed that at least one participant will be lost and frustrated. What have you tried? What worked best?

A very big THANK YOU for such a great tool you guys have created for us! We use Miro all day, every day in collab sessions, daily planning- and standup meetings, creating visualizations, team structures, brainstorms and just generally having FUN as we connect with co-workers online! You make our work a joy! Here is an example of our daily standup board, each team mate has an avatar, shows what they’ve done yesterday, what they’re planning on for today, a daily gif and song of the day and then a show & tell section where we showcase our work and struggles and triumphs.Here's to many more adventures on Miro – we love you guys!

I, along with two friends, have a rooftop garden in the heart of Montreal. As you may know Montreal is not known for its long or reliable growing seasons, this being said organization is everything. This summer we are in has not been the best year for our garden, three different people had completely different goals about what to grow where and when. This resulted in a late start to the season and some plants not finding their way into the larger beds we built for them :( These sad tomato times have lead us to rethink the system, to say the least. One thing that set us back this spring was how all three of us showed up with a map of our ideal garden on a piece of paper and this led to us having to waste planting season arguing with each other. Last week we sat down next to our respective computers, opened Zoom and designed our next garden in Miro. I do a little guitar and bass teaching in my spare time and have thought of using Miro for communicating music theory to students - would be a great teaching environment overall, particularly in terms of students asking questions / working together on pitch/harmony etc Can’t see any suitable templates so far - am I missing something?

There’s so much more to Miro than just #whiteboarding or collaborative work! That’s what I believe in and I’m actively trying to push Miro’s boundaries. Any usage of MIRO for Agile Gaming exercise?

Hey Miro Heroes! We want to make sure you love this community and feel comfortable here As we move forward and develop community programs, we really need to hear from you to inform our strategy and improve your overall experience with Miro Community.  Please take a moment to name one thing you think our community does well and one thing we could improve. Share your thoughts in the thread  

So we are keen on creating a list of educational and informative material that the whole product design team can contribute to and take value from. This could be books, online resources and also courses. A Trello list is our first option, or a spreadsheet. But I was wondering if anyone had created a board in Miro in an intuitive way that could accommodate a collaborative reading list? It’s a basic one, but keen to see how creative others have been!

What is your favourite Miro feature? Suggest your ideas and give a Like to upvote your peers' replies  For example, my fav is Visual Notes. I’ve always wanted an advanced text tool on the board, and it works perfectly for my to-do list 

Every month, our larger department team has a virtual team meeting. We wanted to introduce Miro as a way of injecting some interactivity into the meeting. One idea we had was to incorporate some sort of employee recognition into it so I was wondering what ideas the community had.Have you ever run activities that incorporate employee recognition or appreciation?Things to consider:There will probably be anywhere from 65-80 people attending, all virtually through Teams. Most have never used Miro and many likely haven’t used an online whiteboard. The meeting is an hour but we can count on some department updates and Q&A, so the activity should only be 30-45 minutes.

Hi, I recently ran a workshop over Miro, which involved a lot of people putting sticky notes on a matrix. It turn into a beautiful colourful mess, which was exactly what I was looking for.  However, at the end of the session the host of the workshop told me that someone had sent them a direct message saying that they could not participate because they had dyspraxia and struggled with all the colours and moving parts. I was therefore wondering if anyone else had experienced this and whether they had any tips to make their Miro boards more inclusive and accommodating to those who have dyspraxia.
