hi there! I am pedro, talking directly from RIO, brazil. I am an independent designer and facilitator, but most of all, I am a proud father of a wonder-girl - the most sparkling and innovative experience of my life. I've been using miro since 2019 and, now, I make miro boards even to fix a coffee. participating in the miro advisory panel, I have experienced more and more the power of the user's community and I would like to bring the brazilians and the portuguese speakers closer. so, I invite you all to the RIO chapter!with over 25 years of project experience, I've worked with different challenges from a notable and diverse variety of clients, always connecting people to solve complex problems through human-centered design. after running a design studio for a long time, in the last 4 years, I'm focused on planning and facilitating design sprints and co-creation processes. currently, remote and virtual ones, already having accomplished more than 30 since april, 2020. I believe collabora

The inking (using a SMART board pen) doesn’t work within the Miro board. Using your finger to write works ok but is not a good substitute for a pen. As the SMART board inking is not compatible any drawing or writing using the supplied pen only ‘overlays’ and doesn’t embed into the Miro board. Essentially it won’t save any inking using the pen.
Hey y’all!A while ago, Miroverse champions @Helena Brandist and @Anna Savina initiated a discussion about common pitfalls of first-time Miroverse creators. I figured a checklist might be of some help for people who want to submit templates to Miroverse, since there are a few pretty important things that are easy to miss.Enjoy!https://medium.com/@H_Stahl/creating-a-miroverse-template-heres-the-ultimate-checklist-f5684055825eAnd here’s a TL;DR community version:🛠 Start with a prototype board. When you’re done, copy-paste the content to a fresh board and submit the new board to Miroverse. 🔍 Consider the zoom level! 👑 Establish a dynamic visual hierarchy. 🕵️♀️ Give your template a searchable name (but don’t stuff it with keywords). 🔐 Group and lock shapes. 🏁 Set a start view. 👍 Give your board a nice preview thumbnail. 👩🏫 Add instructions, examples, and facilitator notes. 🗺 Make it easy for people to navigate by numbering sections.Special thanks to @Steven Sampson-Jones, @Emily

Hi Miro community!I’m curious if there is a moment you can point to where Miro helped your team break down knowledge silos, whether it’s a template that helped surface information and foster collaboration or just the tool itself giving your team the opportunity to communicate async and align. Thanks!
This week, Coffee Break by Magdalena Benavides is the Template Of The Week (or TOTW). It is a fun pre-workshop onboarding activity for new users that helps meeting hosts to know which participants are having trouble with Miro so the host could address it. Do you like this template as much as we do? Leave Magdalena a compliment here, her template on Miroverse, and feel free to share your favorite educational ice breakers in this thread! Voting makes template discovery easier for other members of Miro Community and supports those who are contributing to Miroverse in such a meaningful way. How do we choose TOTW? It’s a mystery! But upvoting helps!
You can now add Mindmap Downloader to your board via Marketplace.Currently it supports exporting a classic mindmap to a heirarchy CSV.We’d like to support other data structures and filetypes so please send us any examples of what you think the app is missing.DemoTwitter Updates
Article: Missing a number of board tools and actions due to small screen size or low screen resolution
I am writing this post as there has been an uptick in users thinking they were missing apps or controls were disappearing. Here’s an example: This behaviour should be expected when your Miro board is being displayed in a way that there is just not enough space for all of the controls - some examples of this include:a small physical display + low resolution, e.g., 13-inch laptop with a resolution set to 1024×576 a larger physical display, but still set to a very low resolution your browser/Miro desktop app window is not full maximized. For example, here is what happens if I have Miro opened in a browser on my 14-inch monitor at 1920 x 1080 resolution AND I don’t have the browser windows fully maximized to fill the screen: Embedded BoardsThis may also happen with embedded board – viewing boards through MS Teams, Confluence pages, Google Meet, etc. Browser Zoom greater than 100%Another thing to check is your browser zoom level is at 100%:

I can’t embed it here, but I made a Vimeo video tutorial showing how to use Photopea to make lettering quickly and easily for use in Miro.Using Miro in one browser tab and Photopea in another, it’s fairly trivial to make text using fonts not included in Miro. Photopea has limitless fonts, and you can just cut and paste your text layer back into Miro. Easy!

There have been a number of posts over the years where a user has asked:How can I download all images from a Miro board at once?As of the time of this post there is no out-of-the-box functionality in Miro to do this, but if you are on a paid (or Education Plan), there is a workaround where you can download a backup of the board (*.rtb file) and then extract all of the files from that backup. Here is the reply that I have used before on this forum:--The. rtb is a document container file. If you’re on a paid/Education plan, you can use the board export → Download board backup to save the .rtb container file and then extract all files. Here’s how:Export the board using the board backup feature Once saved to your computer, change the file extension from .rtb to .zip Open with your zip program of choice and you’ll see all of the files that were in your board (.pdf, .png, .docx, .jpg, etc.)Example once opened on my Windows computer using 7-Zip File Manager:
