Inspiration

I have been using Miro for this Fall 2020 semester, which is my Master’s year in Architecture, where we have been experimenting with presentation viability of the program. Overall the program is really nice for us to present our thesis although I have some suggestions and a workaround.I think the program’s presentation mode could really benefit from a Prezi Style Approach, whereby the progression of slides, is the camera jumping from point to point (or slide to slide) visually. Miro already kind of does this when setting up frames and being in presenter mode. (But not when you click present next to the slide arrows in the bottom middle of the screen; that makes it more a typical slideshow). However there needs to be the ability to hide frames as they are a bit visually obtrusive when you multiple in the same area. I mainly am doing this when I first show an overview, then zoom in to one of the specific points.Workaround:You can make it a bit less intrusive by removing the titles of the

Hi,I have a Miro team with 228 old boards. I'd like to be able to archive these and store outside of Miro.It would be great if i could bulk backup/export all 228 boards.

I use Miro quite a lot to make pdf’s for presentations, whenever I need something quick and not too fancy. It is so much quicker than e.g. indesign and allows me to work collaboratively. No more sending presentation-final2-finalfinal.pdf back and forth.The textsize in miro, when creating a A4 frame, seem to be set for some very different dpi than a usual text-editor. Font size 12 from google doc’s equal roughly font size 67 in Miro. This is a bit confusing when working with the intent to print. For now, I made this guide for myself to stay with roughly the right size. I wonder if there’s a secret trick to this somehow? If not, maybe a toggle for intent-to-print, or setting dpi or something could be a solution?(In general, I think Miro carries some potential as a simpler and more accessible alternative to traditional pdf-making tools. Some more traditional text editing tools would help with this, justified paragraphs etc.)  

I have several clients and I want to work with them separately. I bought a consultant plan - and now have a question - how to orginize work with my clients? Do I need to open new teams or I should make new project at the my main team and invite consultants there?I don’t want to pay extra money for additional licenses I want that boards created for each client see only this client.

This little widget blue handle for auto-layout-distribute is awesome!!  Send my appreciation to the team behind this feature!  Thank you.  Align + distribute flow between horizontal or vertical ( like a transpose ). YES!!!    I have faced this layout challenge so often!!!    In fact just earlier this week with a client I needed this … and had I had this tool I could have demo’d something on the spot, but without it I had to stop the flow of thought, put a pin in the exploration and say “I’ll reorganize these horizontally and get back to you.”   HA!   Bravo Miro!   Keep it up.

Hi All,I am using Miro a lot for my work: i love it, and love sketchnoting.Also using the Miro App on Ipad with the apple pencil, I find it a bit limited. For example if i doodle something and I need to select it and move, it is not very handy.Anyone is including sketchnote on Miro? what would you recommend to use? Back in the days when Miro was called “realtimeboard,” the platform was shared with me through a colleague and it was the resource for work that I never knew I needed. Since then, Miro has changed the way I work for the better! I manage 20+ different apps and brands with a remote team. Miro helps me keep projects organized while being able to make quick notes, start designs, and plan on multiple levels. Check out some of the work I get done in my screenshots below, hopefully it will help you work on your own boards. And not shown in the pictures is a hidden gem… I have a frame called “whiteboard” it is exactly what is sounds like, its a place to just write anything like an old school whiteboard    App design and planning user funnels. ​​​​​Planning phases with a timeline.  Easy way to record some ideas into tasks.

My story is not really funny: one day I became allergic to cats and dogs and rabbits (maybe somebody else), and I had to find a new family for my amazing, playful, tender, beloved cat. Even though I work in Miro and have been using it myself daily for over 3 years now, I’m constantly looking for cool tips & tricks that can speed up my work on the boards. For example, creating new sticky notes using Cmd+D shortcut never gets old for me, and I always mention it to everyone who is just starting out with our product. I also love the linking feature, which allows me to create connections between any widgets on the board.    What are your favorite Mirohacks?
