    Confluence Server Integration with MiroOpen

    Currently we have Confluence Server instance. When links are pasted in Miro boards they give errors. Can we introduce the integration to Confluence Server as well. We raised tickets to help resolve this but the tech team requested us to put this through as a Wish List idea. Ticket for your ref: https://help.miro.com/hc/en-us/requests/847998

    Please give us (scientists) better tools for working with PDF's!Open

    Miro could be *everything I need* in terms of being a ‘frictionless ideation workspace’ if it would just up its game in terms of handling PDF’s.  I know management says ‘we’re not a content management system’ but others in this space have built-in readers, or at least, faster loading of a reader/editor that integrates seemlessly (see ‘the brain’ instantiation (so you can have ‘replicas’ that are synced in different areas of your workspace), excerpting functions (so you can cut out an excerpt, and then ‘preview’ where that excerpt came from in the PDF).  Check out the way ‘Muse’ handles this - it’s gorgeous (but they are platform-restricted)…There are a LOT of scientists like me who need a whiteboard that can do more than just product design and new product ideation.  That means being able to bring our content (papers, figures, etc.) into this workspace and not have them be frozen statues… Thanks, Eric

    Highlighting connecting lines and connected boxesOpen

    As another user has described already: https://community.miro.com/ask-the-community-45/highlighting-connecting-lines-2828?tid=2828&fid=45 - I would love it if I could click a box thats connected to another box with a line (or to multiple other boxes), and the line (and the box(es) in the other end of the line), would be highlighted in such a way that its easy to see the what boxes are connected.Sometimes when I have a lot of boxes close to each other on the left side of the board, which all are connected with lines to boxes on the right side of the board, the lines intersect and its not that easy to see which box on “the other side” thats connected to the box I clicked. I have tried grouping the [box+line+box] which kinda makes the connection visible, but with a lot of boxes that’s a big manual job to do, and also the way its highlighted is not very nice.Adding a boxample (giggle) to illustrate the issue. As you can see, for some of the boxes on the left its not so easy to see what box on the right its connected to. Bonus: imagine there are a 3rd row of boxes (or more), meaning multiple links like this: [box+line+box+line+box]. Show the connections in the entire chain would be awesome. Some sort of on/off-toggling of the highlighting-feature would probably be necessary, in order to avoid issues with looping, or the enitre board being highlighted, etc.

    Clusters shouldn't be treated like their own frameOpen

    Typically, when I’ve been conducting a KJ with sticky notes, we will be dragging them around the board into physical groups, giving each group a title (typically a rectangle object with a background and the name of the theme), and grouping them together. We usually use frames as an overall working space for all of the generative sticky notes we have in a workshop (separates them from the rest of the whiteboard) and create these themed groups within them. The larger frame works wonderfully in this way as we can move the entire contents of the frame with all of the individual groups within the board at once if we need to reorganize the board.With the new AI features, I’ve been experimenting with “clusters” more. As I’ve learned, by design, clusters are actually mini-frames. Because of this, anything made within a “cluster” doesn’t move when you move the larger working area frame that we typically use. You are required to select the frame and all of the individual clusters in order to move them all somewhere else on the board. The idea here, would be to either:Re-think the concept that “clusters” are their own frame, and reduce them to their own groups of objects Consider the concept of nested frames such that anything within the larger frame can move together when the larger frame is moved.

    Miro integration with PinterestOpen

    I’ve recently started using Miro for more than just work and it’s integrating into my daily life too! One of the great use cases I’ve seen with Miro is creating a mood board for your interior designs.I’m currently creating mood boards for the rooms of my new house I am due to be moving to and what I’ve found myself doing is using Pinterest to dump all my ideas onto then I want to use Miro to create more definite theme/plan.I think it would be useful if in Miro you could link your Pinterest boards and access your pins to then move across to Miro

    Pen tool with anchors like in Adobe IllustratorOpen

    It would be very very cool to have a Pen tool similar to the one in Adobe Illustrator with controllable anchor points, and Beziers to be able to draw more complex shapes effortlessly.

    Use other table for row validation in miroOpen

    If I create two different tables in a miro board or environment Id like to be able to reference one table from another to drive a lookup or something similar.  e.g. I have one table that is a project list, I keep the name of the project a detail and some other details.Then in another table Id like to be able to use,  maybe a dependencies table Id like to be able to use that project list to drive a set of lookups.

    Smart pile behaviourOpen

    Hi, there are cases when on a diagram you have variations of same thing which you don’t want to devote space to. In this case a quality of life improvement could be set of piling behaviours when objects get visually grouped together but get all nicely temporarily arrange on hover for example.     Not great arrangement for the arrows in the ux flows. Would be nice to have a command to align arrows in one line.

    Receive Notifications when @mentioned anywhere in a boardDelivered

    The @mention functionality is not consistent.When a user is @mentioned in a Comment, they receive an email notification (if setup).However, if they are mentioned in a chat, they do not.     Better handling of iframe embedding.Open

    The ability to render iframes the way anyone who uses iframes expects them to work would unlock a world of potential with our whiteboards.Right now, every time I try to embed anything using the iframe embed tool, I end up with the same result. I get a 16:9 aspect ratio box with a generic "documents and stuff" icon in the middle, with an ugly play button covering it up. I cannot resize the box without keeping the aspect ratio.In most cases, anything I have tried to embed does not scale to fit the box properly (after hitting the play button to reveal it). I have zero control over sizing the box or any other properties that would give me control over how the content is displayed.Being able to embed content within a box that I control the size of, with the ability to scale the embedded content to fit the width of that box (with scrollbars appearing as necessary for any vertical content that extends past the height of that box) would be perfect.How many UX Designers would shout for joy if they could embed the first page of a Figma prototype onto a Miro board, and then allow people to click through it within that iframe window?I have had at least a dozen ideas regarding how the embedding of content within an iframe on a board would be a GREAT presentation tactic, everything from a clickable prototype from Figma, a live demo of a website in progress, or static web content from another source that has no easy way of being translated into a Miro board.From a technical standpoint, if Miro already offers the ability to embed iframes, how can increasing the level of control we have with them be hard for the developers to enable?The other side of this problem is the presentation side within Miro. Not having any control over the "thumbnail image" displayed when embedding an iframe and being forced to show a "generic documents and stuff" icon with an ugly play button overlay puts the kibosh on being able to use this ability for any presentations I am working on.

    Pop up feedbackDelivered

    Hi there, just wanted to reach out really quick because I noticed what I perceived as a usability issue.I performed some action, which I believe was using the copy key combo, and a pop up came up at the bottom of the screen with a message. I unfortunately didn’t catch what it said because it went away on its own before I had a chance to catch what it said (it was up for maybe a couple seconds). Some user testing with responding to pop ups to make sure you’re actually getting value from that feature might be in order!Love the app, hope this is helpful!

    Embed or link a Miro Board within another Miro Board / Nested boardsDelivered

    I would like to nest boards within other boards.  Is that possible ? Full embedding would be nice but linking/referencing is also good.   What are the different ways to do this?   Thanks.

    Move plus icon for adding new colours to the top of the listOpen

    Currently the button to add a new colour is located at the very bottom of the list of colours.The problem is that if one has been using Miro for a long time, one might have a humungous list of colours to scroll through.Ideally the plus icon would be at the top of the list so users don’t have to do any scrolling at all.

    "Freeze" Panes Similarly to Google SheetsOpen

    Similar to how Freezing a row or column works in Google Sheets / Excel, I think it would be useful to allow users to “pin” or “freeze” elements in Miro and have content scroll behind / underneath it. The use case for this is when you have a complicated grid or calendar view, similar to my Resourcing board: https://miro.com/app/board/o9J_koZn4wE=/It would be amazing to be able to “pin” the dates at the top and have the grid of projects / resources fall under it, so as you scroll down on the Miro board you can be referring back to the week as you get deep into the grid of projects.

    i want to make instance of a complex flow chart or whatever i created in one board in another board. maybe a simple good first solution could be to open a “preview box”:  i draw a box around an area on one board, an area which i want to view in the second board, then go to the other board, draw a box where i want to see the preview and by miracle the boxes are synched thanks

    Creating a Diagram and turn it into a Smart Diagram, so you can use it like a componentDelivered

    I use MIRO for drawing all my app architecture diagrams and fluxograms. Depending on the meeting im going to lead, i need to copy and paste the diagram from one frame to another, and if i need to update the diagram, i need to do it 3 or 4 times. I would love to turn the diagrams into smart components, when i fix one, it fixes all of them!  Thank you!!! With you the best!

    Hi everyone, I see some urgency in the update of the Miro API - integration is a key differentiator and the number of external apps, smart templates and such will only increase when the APIs get sorted. (I am not talking about SSO integrations or live embedding here).Part of the wish list:Freedom to colors - let’s leave it to the developer what colors (of a widget) they need to use. Please remove the limitations. Width and heights of widgets - why is there a minimum width of 32 pixels even for a line? Please remove the limitations. get parameters should be compatible to create parameters: When I read out background color, it mistakenly shortens the #ffffff to #ffff and this leads to an error when creating a new widget with this color setting. Please allow tagging of widgets, e.g. stickers via API locking of widgets, e.g. background graphics, to prevent users from messing with them when using a whiteboard visibility / hide settings as available on the UI. Definitely time for API v2 !Regards, Boris

    Miro has the potential to change online meetups, conferences, and workshops by making a few small tweaks: having better support for slides and presentations mode.For my workshops, I recently put all of my slides on the Miro board. I exported from powerpoint, and put 100+ images on the Miro board organised into small lectures.What I discovered, is that as I was talking through the slides, people were adding stickies and links all around my slides. It wasn’t just me presenting, the lectures became interactive, too.I would like to do all of my talks at meetups and conferences this way. However, the experience isn’t smooth enough yet. Some of the problems are:I can’t use presentation mode: I have too many slides in my workshop to make each one a frame (4 day workshop, hundreds of slides When people start adding notes and comments, they stop following me, so they can lose track of which slide I am on. I have to manually scroll between slides rather than a simple click (because I’m not using frames, see 1) I can’t easily hide slides that I don’t want people to see yet (I can but it would make preparing the board more time consuming and presenting less fluent)I think these problems are super easy to solve for the smart people at miro:Create the concept of a slideshow/story using dedicated slide objects (don’t try and bend frames to be slides) Improve the presentation mode so that the active slide is highlighted in some way (if people want to go back to a previous slide or finish adding notes they can, but they can always see where the presenter is) Allow me to move between slides using a single button click (without making them frames) Show slides that haven’t been presented yet in some type of hidden stateI think this feature fits within the Miro portfolio. I’m already doing this in my workshops and it’s great to not have to switch between Miro and Powerpoint with screen sharing. It also means people have access to all of the slides and the slides themselves become a living space where people can share their notes and questions.If anybody wants more information about this, or how I’m currently doing it, feel free to ask.

    Notification email to Admin when new Guest added to subscriptionOpen

    I would like to get an email when a new Guest is added to any of the Boards in our subscription. This would be speed up the MIRO related SSO activation in my company. As there is no email currently, I need to check MIRO Guests list every day to see if there are new Guests.There is already an email for license requests, so email like that would be great also for adding new guests. Email should be daily, if not even triggered immediately when Guest is added.
