Hello, we are dreaming of a feature that lets Miro export frames to native PowerPoint format. Many customers like to work on Miro, yet need the documentation as PowerPoint file afterwards.
Hey MiroI’am forced by my company that my PC lock itself after 5min of inactivity. And I’am often in meetings where I have to follow presenter via Miro. And maybe already see my wish: After 5min my screen wants to go off.So my wish is very simple: When following someone in Miro, then should prevent that my screen turn off. This quite easy with the Wake Lock API. This API is working on different operating systems.I also wrote a small Tampermonkey-script which works well (until I change the tab).// ==UserScript==// @name Screen Wake Lock// @namespace http://tampermonkey.net/// @version 0.1// @description Example of using the Screen Wake Lock API in a Tampermonkey script// @author Your Name// @match https://miro.com/*// @grant none// @run-at document-start// ==/UserScript==(function() { 'use strict'; let wakeLock = null; async function requestWakeLock() { try { wakeLock = await navigator.wakeLock.request("screen"); console.log('wake lock activated'); } catch (err) { console.error(`${err.name}, ${err.message}`); } } requestWakeLock();})();It is close to that wish: https://community.miro.com/ideas/add-option-to-prevent-the-ipad-from-going-to-sleep-6163
I have used the Tables (Beta) and really like the module, but I am as a user missing possibility to do the following in the the tablesAdd hyperlinks to either boards element or external URLs (like you can do to normal text when adding a hyperlink) Add images in the cells in the table, so it’s possible to use pictures to make it more visual what the text is describing.with the above features I would definitely switch from Grid to Tables :)
As a Product Manager, I’m looking to use the table as a way or organising and managing a bunch of features. For each feature, I want to create a Miro Doc that details the feature. Problem, solution, etc. Similar to a product requirements doc. The problem is I want to make it easier for people using the table to find the related doc. Putting a link into a text field doesn’t work.If there’s a way to do this that I am missing, please let me know. But otherwise, I would love something similar to the Link To feature for table items. Or perhaps a link field column to add hyperlinks as quick “shortcuts” to other things like a Miro Doc, Figma, Confluence, Notion, etc. Has anyone else run into a need similar to this?
We love using tables, but we need a way to collaborate on specific rows/tasks. Please add the ability to connect comments to a specific row, that moves with the row. Or some other method that allows us to discuss a task.
One thing I really wish could be added to Table items and their cards are the ability to leave comments. I’ve tried work arounds, but nothing works well. Adding comment bubbles to things on the table is no good, because they attach to the table, not the work item/row. So if things move around the table, the comment bubble won’t follow.I think having dedicated comments on cards & table items would be best. They would allow another level of async collaboration. Here’s a really rough sketch concept to help show what I mean. In the table, I’d like to see some indication, in-row, that there’s an unread comment on something. Is something others would like to see?
I’d like a possibility to import boards from Mural. To make it easier to switch to Miro :).
Hi,We have team slides with pictures of different team members in a slide deck. The teams are updating this slide deck for changes in thier team like new member joining / existing member leaving, changes in scope of responsibilities. Each slide for each team. And we use these team slides in a Miro board for each PI planning under the team area to represent the team. If these slides are updated in power point and they are imported as an linked asset, I would be cool that these assets are updated for any changes to the slide. This will help several teams to avoid doublw work. And the PI Planning Boards are copied and pasted each time for the next PI Planning or we use a template were the slides goes in with these linked slides. The other option is if you say you can store the team slides a Miro template and from where we can create linked images, it can also work. In this case you elimate the use of PPTX, which might be your competitor :-)
We create moodboards for Interior Design & Product and need to make quick idea presentations and need the ability to flip images horizontally and vertically, as it is possible to do in Indesign
WOULD LOVE LOVE LOVE TO BE ABLE TO SIMPLY REFLECT IMAGES AND OBJECTS. ALSO A SIMPLE VERSION OF PEN TOOL WOULD BE A HUGE HELP SO I CAN SKETCH PERSPECTIVES. MIRO IS A MAJOR TOOL FOR ARCHITECTS TO HAVEING MORE ROBUST OBJECT AND IMAGE MANIPULATION TOOLS WOULD MAKE IT SING. PASTING TEXT FROM PREVIOUS WISH LIST ITEM THAT IS 3 YEARS OLD BUT STILL VERY VAILD: Haha. D’oh! Update: If you Shift + drag a shape, the current aspect ratio is maintained as you make it smaller/larger, so… this idea is not required. Furthermore, looking at the Shapes help article, I read: Styling a shape You can select several shapes at once and style them all. To create an even shape without changing its ratio, hold down Shift just like you would in any other graphics software. If “style” is the correct term for “resize”, then I prefer “resize”. In line with my idea of Force shapes to be symmetrical, I would like to see more transform options for objects in Miro - implemented for shapes first, with images being next. At the time of this post, when a shape is dragged by the corner, the object can be resized along two axes, but does not lock the original aspect ratio. I would like to see the following: Drag the corner of a shape/image to change the scale (make bigger/smaller) along two axes, while locking the original aspect ratio. Drag the side of an object to change scale along one axis only (to change the width or height independently). **the rest are nice-to-haves** Flip Mirror Rotate Shear Perspective Credit goes to this article for helping me better articulate my asks.
Hi. Here is a feature I would have great use for. Possibility to link frames so whats changed in one is instantly mirrored in the other one/s. Possibility to do this by simply giving two frames the same exact name and check a “mirror box”. Adding a “take me to mirrored frame” button. Mirror frames could preferably be a self standing concept (and not the same thing as “frames”) Just a a simple “square shape” with the mirror feature. That can have any place and size in a board. Elegant, simple - Miro!
When inserting/pasting images, there are currently no modifications of such objects possible, besides resizing them (with locked AR as stated here).I wish Miro would allow to modify an inserted image’s…Border (add border, set border color, change border thickness) Opacity Cropping → just realised this has been added recently!
It’s great that you can paste and drag images into Miro. However, what you can do with that image once it’s in Miro is highly limited. All you can do is resize it, crop it and replace it. It would be great if you could flip it and adjust the opacity on it. This should be an easy update. And then the next phase of image updates, could be some editing functionality for the image inclusive of brightness/contrast. I want to eventually be able to move away from Sketch and Photoshop and have Miro is the all-in-one UX Wireframing and basic Image Editing tool. Yes, one tool to rule them all. Thank you.
I would like to be able to import PowerPoint slides into my miro board and edit them live on the board without the need to go back and to that in PowerPoint.
We have a space in Miro for our moderately large team. We recently found out that creating a new board, or duplicating an existing one in the space risks automatically sending “invites” to everyone on the team. Various subgroups within the team will have retrospectives or planning sessions which should not automatically send invites to all. How can we change this? Teammates are welcome to lurk/check it out, ultimately some of these boards are geared towards a specific subset.
As a shape changes size, the “thickness” of the boarder needs to size up and down relative to the shape itself, then, when moving the slider on the border the size changes relative to the size of the shape, not relative to the zoom of the board. It’s correcting a wrong - the shape and the border will both be relative to the size of the shape.Currently - the size of the border is relative to the zoom of the board, the size of the shape is its own element.
