Add the ability to customise the background with a greyscale watermark

Cool idea, haven't even thought about it! One detail though: it would be very easy to bypass this by adding a colored shape as background, or a bg-colored frame.

But adding a watermark on exported images, similar to Shutterstock etc, sounds feasible.

Yes. I’m looking to have this build in as a watermark so our less technical users don’t need to worry about it - it will just work for them.

I appreciate these can be easily bypassed but it’s also for branding and awareness :-)

Not sure if it’s exactly the same use case, but here are the two cases where I think something similar might be helpful: 

1. Draft flow - We are working on flows with a client and we want to be clear when this is ‘wip’ vs ‘ready for signoff’. At the moment we are adding the word ‘draft’ to every diagram on the board, which is tedious. It would be great to have a watermark that would show on every component when viewing or exporting to pdf to get around this
2. Similarly, once a board is closed as complete, we want to mark it as ‘final’. We’re no longer expecting comments and we don’t want to make any changes. We may choose to remove comment access to the board so that nobody can add more comments, but being able to show it as final tells people why that’s been done. I think a watermark would help with this as well
