    Timeline suggestionsOpen

    Hi, Some suggestions to improvement on the timeline: Ability to link start dates. I have an activity where a neighbouring activity starts three days later. If my first start up date changes, then all others fall in line Possibility to see start / end date and description of task when hovering over a task with short duration in the timeline, instead of scrolling over to the left to see what the full description is.

    Polygone tooOpen

    Please make a polygon tool that i can use to make custom polygon shapes that i want to create, not ones that are dictated by MIRO. Easy. Something like you’d find in Illustrator, to me MIRO would be near perfect. It needs to have customizable borders and fills.

    SVG: Change color / Add color picker to SVG'sOpen

    Hello everyone!I’m a new MIRO user and currently migrating several older MURAL boards into MIRO. In MURAL, I could easily change the color of SVG icons (for example, those added via Symbols or Font Awesome Solid) with just two clicks using a simple color palette—switching from black to green, blue, or any other color (see attached screenshot).In MIRO, however, I have not found a way to change the color of SVG icons. When I right-click and select “change item,” an internal editor opens but shows an error message: “File format not supported.” It seems that currently, SVG icons in MIRO can only be moved, scaled, or rotated, but not recolored.This feature would be extremely helpful for anyone working with icons and visual elements on boards. It’s a key workflow in MURAL, and I would love to see it implemented in MIRO as well.Could you please consider adding the ability to change the color of SVG icons directly within MIRO in a future update?Thank you so much for your help and support!Philipp

This functionality would allow administrators to define a list of disallowed passwords that users cannot use when creating or updating their passwords.Justification:Many users continue to use common or previously compromised passwords, making accounts vulnerable to brute-force and dictionary attacks. By implementing a blacklist of insecure or expected passwords even with specified complexity (e.g., "123456", "password1234", "qwerty", or known leaked passwords), we can significantly improve the overall security posture of the system.Suggested Implementation: Allow administrators to configure a list of blacklisted passwords manually

    Azure Cards selection via QueryOpen

    Hi everyone,we want to use Azure Cards and it seems that many missing features have already been added or improved, but there is one thing that is extremly painful still and I am surprised no one asked it before: The in-app picker shouldeither directly support queries (e.g. their links) or else provide more filtering options - with the most important ones: Planned for & Tags. This would enable us to fully use Azure Cards. Thank you.

    Ability to add hyperlinks to text inside commentsOpen

    Hey!I am desperately looking to create hyperlinks to text inside of comments, just like it’s possible to do with the regular text fields.The reason why is that I am creating a detailed process chart where I want to use comments to list all of the relevant SOPs related to each individual process step.I haven’t found another way to do it using the existing features, so also if there are suggestions I’d greatly appreciate that! I wish to use Shapes to create my flow chart, therefore something like cards is not suited for the purpose as I cannot format their shape/size very well.

    Word Cloud featureOpen

    One way I try to use Miro is to embed any powerpoints and other platforms I may be presenting from into Miro and then navigating participations/audience members throughout different parts of the board. This minimizes the number of platforms I need to transition between as well as enables me to facilitate multiple functions through one platform with participants (e.g. presenting and brainstorming). In a recent presentation, I’d really like to embed a word cloud into the board for participants to respond to and populate in real time but noticed this integration hasn’t been developed yet, so adding it here as a wishlist item! I read up on the thread about ‘wordle type word clouds,’ and what I’m looking for isn’t to embed the word cloud after the fact and after the results are ready, but having the blank word cloud embedded and as participants respond it will show up within the word cloud in the board. Thanks!

    Ability to do simple scripts in timeplan/table to be able to summary things like FTE or load.Open

    It would be good to be able to add simple scripts, so there’s option to sum all the numbers like FTE, load etc, so we can see how far we’re in the terms of team load, resources needed.

    Sum function in MiroOpen

    I am trying to create a project plan in Miro and in the plan I want to have each story tagged with the number of hours that story will take. My goal is to have a sum function at the end that tells me the total of all the hours it will take to finish up that feature. I don’t see anything like this in Miro and I think this will be helpful to all the project managers out there. Thanks.

    Pop up button that can be added to objects to provide more info (otherwise hidden)Open

    It would be so helpful to have a function that would enable one to add a button (or, less ideally, a roll-over) that let’s users learn more detailed information about an object. E.g., in developing a high level strategy chart, the team could add a pop-up that provide the rationale for a strategy action without cluttering the high-level strategy chart. Please!!

    A layers panel like Figma'sOpen

    Renaming, grouping, tracking, finding, selecting, editing and so much more. I think the majority of our demands are sourced by the lack of a robust layers panel as an alternative to direct interaction. Although the current layer tool is getting there, I know it needs time and effort to be multifunctional like Figma’s. I just think it could become a superior solution if you take how Figma does it as an example. What do you think?

    Layers admin tool menuOpen

    I like the functionality of layers. However, I find it difficult when facilitating a group and trying to use layers. It would be great if Layers was always available as a tool menu item in the same way as Frames or in the Facilitator menu. Navigating to the left toolbar to administer (vs. creating) defined board Layers is not intuitive.Also, the Layers popup window blocks other board content and requires closing and then re-opening. For example, when conducting voting the results window gets blocked by the Layers popup.

    Timeline (Beta) when collapsing groups in the timelines it would be good if , instead of the current behaviour of removing all rows in that group from the visible timeline  there was a new behaviour of showing just 1 header line that encompassed the full span of any dates of the items in that group.    or for bonus points the ability to choose which default behaviour you want in the timeline settings.

    Filter and search function popout for tablesOpen

    I’m really enjoying the addition of a table object in Miro.  I’m an interior designer and its a great resource for managing punch lists.  I’d also like to use it for some inventory management.In both cases it is very helpful to use filter tools to locate specific items - could you create a popup filter window that could remain visible without covering up the table - to allow the table to be even more an interactive tool?

    Embed integrations: Show embed type without needing to select itOpen

    I am loving the new embed integrations – so much so that I end up with up to ten embeds on a board.However, when I load a board there is zero context as to which embed is which type, e.g., if I have a Google Doc beside a Google Sheet, which is which?I have now resorted to need to create my own label (i.e., a text or sticky) above the embed to avoid click waste.Please solve this problem 🙏

    Create Links to Local Files/ Network DriveOpen

    If we’re organizing our ideas in miro it would be nice to relate them to files on our local drives. You add an image, notes, whatever and create a link to specific file or folder on your local machine or a network drive. Instead of a URL, the link is a file path.Use case: I’m an industrial designer. I use miro to organize my inspirations and to build collections and connections across multiple products. The visual organization is perfect for seeing how products relate. When an idea hits from looking at my board I can open up a folder location from miro and open the file for the 3D model of that product. I still have to manage my own file system, but if done carefully Miro can serve a whiteboard version of my own harddrive. Teams would utilize this feature via a shared network drive.

    Big Overhaul for locking and hiding Items - for Facilitators and trainersOpen

    Summary: Let me edit items while they are locked and let me look and work through the a hidden frame. I’love miro, but there are two huge pain points for me as facilitator who uses Miro every week with groups in online sessions.As Facilitator, I need to be ahead of things and be able to adjust everything to the process. On the other hand, I want to make sure that my clients do not a) move around my stuff b) they can’t see whats coming next. The current features for locking objects and hiding frames is ok, but far from user friendly. Locked Items: While yes, sometimes it would also be useful to lock items in a way that even I or my co-owner can’t move. The biggest issue with the current way: I usually select many items at once to lock them, but often I just need to adjust a headline or remove two placeholders but while doing so, I unlock again the hole group of locked items  - means I need to figure out again, which items to lock. Especially if I added other editable items on top, it gets a huge mess. In 99% of all cases, I’d probably be happy with just locking it down to my clients, so they don’t screw my templates. Therefore, please let me edit locked items. Either in general or let me press a key on my keyboard and ignore the lock state of any item. Another Option could be to have two layers: Everything in there is locked for everyone except the owner and co-owner. Hide Frames and Items: I love the ability to hide my frames, but the current way comes with two catches: 1. The frame's headline is visible for everyone, even so it’s locked. Which sometimes discloses information ahead of time. To my opinion, hidden frames should display their label only to owner and co-owner. 2. Even more important: Please let me edit my hidden frames without showing them to everyone else on the board. Similar to locking items, in 99% of all of my cases (at least if I’m not in presentation mode), I would want to see (and edit) the content of hidden frames - I know the content anyway.

    Improve Paste Behavior with Locked Frame GroupsOpen

    Hi Miro Community,I'd like to share a frustrating behavior I've encountered when working with locked frames in Miro, especially during client workshops.The IssueWhen I lock multiple frames at the same time, even without grouping first, (a quick and efficient way to protect workshop content), there's a problematic behavior with the paste function:If a participant accidentally clicks on the locked group of frames before pasting, Miro pastes the content onto ALL frames in that locked group This can instantly create a mess across multiple frames, disrupting carefully designed workshop boardsI've recorded a demonstration of this behavior here: https://www.loom.com/share/83cb7caf31384b84a866eda12ebee3f4?sid=593f9870-a382-4ec7-b26f-dc327b0b1c55Current Workaround (that isn't working well)The only workaround I've found is to lock each frame individually instead of locking them as a group. However, this creates significant problems:It's time-consuming to lock/unlock frames individually For ongoing programs that require regular updates, having to unlock each frame separately is extremely inefficient Unlocking everything at once isn't an option as we often need certain elements to remain protected (and then I have to lock them all individually again anyway)Requested SolutionI'd like to suggest that locked groups of frames behave differently from unlocked groups when it comes to pasting:Some possible solutions: ​​​​​​​​​​​​​​Paste only onto the specific frame that was clicked (not seemingly possible?), not the entire group Allow locking to behave differently (don’t make it behave as a group when I select multiple frames to lock at one time) Provide a warning before pasting to all frames in a locked group This would greatly improve the user experience for facilitators who use Miro for client workshops and need to balance protection of content with efficient board management.Has anyone else encountered this issue or found a better solution? Any input from the Miro team would be greatly appreciated!Thanks!Jake

    Jira Cards - remember the queryExisting Feature (closed)

    Our company uses many large Jira projects. Whenever I add Jira cards, I have to enter a query from scratch to filter down the list of jiras.The idea is to support storing queries somewhere so they can be easily clicked and used.Even only remembering the last used query in the selector window would be a great help!

    Add color picker to SVG's with "currentColor" setOpen

    Using SVG’s in Miro is great, because they are small in size and can be scaled infinitely. So they are they are my go to format for icons and decorative elements. It would be super cool, if it’s possible to color SVG’s when they don’t have a color on their own. E.g often you see that icons have “currentColor” set in the SVG and that the color is added with CSS. I think that this could easily be build into the product and would enable powerful workflows with SVG’s.
