    Remember Connection Line preferences (type, thickness, color, arrowhead)Open

    I am tired of setting my connection line preferences for every session, on every board.Sure, if I already had a connection line on the board when I come for another session, I can select it and then all subsequently created lines will inherit the last selected line's properties, but I don't always have a connection line on the board.If not storing them at the user profile level, at least store them in a cookie, PLEASE.

    Cannot open Miro-board links in Miro desktop app when Microsoft Edge is standard browserOpen

    Hi,In our company we have Microsoft Edge as standard browser and Miro desktop app installed.When we have installed the Miro desktop app and clicked on a Miro-board link > We allowed the browser to open the links in the app.But when we click on the link after this, it opens in the browser anyway. Checked standard app and noticed it stands “url:miroapp”, so in i removed “https://” and putted in “miroapp://” instead and got the board open in the Miro desktop app instead.Would be nice if you can fix this issue. Best regards,Louise Norén

    Improved Text RenderingOpen

    Using Miro on a Windows 10 or 11 machine in browser or using the app produces a low resolution experience. When text is active it looks like (pending your screen resolution) but when you click away from the text it blurs. I’ve raised this before and despite initial denial it was agreed it could be better.Refer to https://community.miro.com/ask-the-community-45/everything-on-my-whiteboard-is-blurred-16739?tid=16739&fid=45In my opinion it should be much better. I don’t like miro for this one reason. It is hard to use a tool when it is blurry all the time (no it’s not my computer or settings).To improve my experience I now use Miro on Safari on my Macbook. This is not a great solution.

    Hexagon shape padding issue and card-like commentabilityOpen

    Hi, Hexagon-based facilitation is on a steep rise, and Miro is being left out of this race for a very simple reason: The padding in hexagon shapes is just horrible (compared to e.g. Mural).What I would like to have is room that lets you fill in the whole shape – or at least more of it. Otherwise, you need to (manually!) play with font size, and with very small font, you need to constantly zoom in to see the content, thus missing the big picture. This has also been flagged in other conversations.Here are two ways of doing hexies in Miro: right is the hexagon shape, middle is the flowchart shape.  Compare with Mural image posted in the link above:I need to fit more text into hexies but it would be a pain to switch whiteboarding tools for such a small-seeming issue. A perfect workflow would allow one to use the API to create hexagon shapes, which have a visible text (font size autofitted like in sticky notes), and a card-like comment/definition section, where you could include more context.Please help us help others!

    Hi, Is there a way to specify the exact dimensions for a shape? Say I want to make a 6x2 rectangle, is there a way to do that by entering in the exact numbers versus just eyeballing it? Thanks!

    Add the ability to start a numbered list at a number other than 1Open

    Sometimes I have the need to insert other content such as images, etc. between my numbered list items.  If I break my text apart to accommodate this, I can’t start my list at a different number, so then I need to not use a numbered list, which means I need to update my numbers manually if a new item gets inserted in the middle.

    Jump pointsOpen

    I have a cool idea as i see my colleagues dragging things around the huge miro board. Have a jump point, so you set a shortcut key, to an area on the board. So if i am collecting the items together, from a big collection of notes, and i want to organise them. I can set different points on the board that i can jump to, by using a shortcut key. so i grab something, hit the shortcut key, and my cursor is now still holding the item, and is hovering over the jump point that i set.

    Add invisible frame type that's just for linking and jumping toOpen

    I want to make a slide-show essentially, and found how to create links to jump to the next frame/object, but I want to create an invisible frame that’s just a box that represents the zoom level for the content (to fill the screen), and I want these frames to be overlapping without “owning/containing” all the objects within them, so I can have overlapping logical frames/slides.An alternative would be to have a zoom-area action/setting for each object that’s linked, so the zoom level/area can be defined for when the jump occurs. Right now if I pick an object the jump zooms that object to full screen, which makes me want to use a frame to define it better, but my jump-areas need to be overlapping so that doesn’t work...

    This is the view of a board that has been password protected to share. Kind of confusing, no!?  Would it not make sense to highlight the fact that a password has been set for sharing? And then, actually ask them for the password??

    Invert Icon ColorsOpen

    When using the icon library sometimes I want to use white linework icons, when most are black.  If there was a button to quickly invert them (at least the ones with baked in transparency) that would be very helpful, and save a trip to photoshop.  Or a full re-color menu, similar to powerpoint.  I’d settle for an invert though.

    Add a separate team to a board or project within another teamOpen

    Currently the workaround to invite users from Team B to a board within Project A on Team A is to invite the users of Team B to the board in question by individual email invite after exporting all users within the Miro company. While I am able to script using csv exports, this does not make board management and the permissions within them scalable. It’s just bad. Also, if you filter the list of users from the Admin page for users, and filter to the Team you wanted and then export - it does not export that filtered list, it exports the entire company list. The filter does nothing but display who is in that filter in the viewspace below.If Team A contains 200 people today, and 300 people on January 1st. 100 users will need to be invited to that board/project specifically between the two dates. Instead, if Teams are able to be granted access to Boards/Projects, there is no need for anything to be modified, as the Team has already been granted access to the Board/Project in question. If you want to extract all the emailed users from a .csv file of your company, you can use the powershell script below.Import-Csv '.\path\to\file.csv' | Where-Object { $_.'ColumnName' -match 'StringToMatch' }  | select E-MailI do not understand why Miro does not have the ability to add different Teams to boards or projects within other Team spaces.

    Hide columns and rows in tableOpen

    It would be great if I could hide individual columns or rows in a table, in the same way the hide/reveal works for Frames.I sometimes use tables in workshops with stakeholders, and it can be beneficial to prepare a table beforehand and then reveal certain parts at a later point.One use case is e.g. having a table of features on a product roadmap, the stakeholders fill in the MoSCoW priority, and then I can reveal the developers’ estimations in another column, that have been gathered beforehand.The current workaround is to work with several copies of a table, which is not so nice when the data gets changed during the workshop.

    It would be great to have a reference box...you can place content in a "pop out" and you can have it follow your cursor so you can use that content as a reference point.

    Make on-board links to elements on the same board relative (to allow for copying of a board with such links)Open

    on-board links between items on the same board are very helpful during presentations of a board and to assist users to navigate a board. The problem starts when you want to re-use an existing board that contains such links: links on duplicated / copied boards will still link to the item on the original board.This makes it hard to re-use boards with links on them - they must be edited. It would be great to change this behavior and make on-board links relative. PS: see also https://community.miro.com/ask-the-community-45/is-there-a-way-to-make-links-stay-relative-to-different-items-when-pasting-in-to-a-new-board-512

    Automatically pick the right font sizeOpen

    The problem: if I open a brand new board and just put a textbox somewhere and start typing, the font size is often awfully off. It’s either too small for my zoom range (I am typing tiny-miny letters) or too large (the letters don’t fit on my screen) Solution idea: What if Miro assumed that when I put a new textbox on the canvas I want to type letters that are not too tiny, nor too big for my current zoom level? E.g. if I put a textbox on the canvas when I am zoomed in, Miro would default to a smaller font size. If I am zoomed out, Miro would default to a large font size when I put up a new text box.

    I’d love to have this feature (it would replace other tools used solely for creating org charts, since they offer the ability to add photos directly to a person’s box) — the ability to add photos to people’s cards in the org chart diagram (automatically).

    Better connection renderingOpen

    Would it be possible to have arrows that aim toward the center of a shape, but still stop at the edge of the shape when rendered?I know Miro currently connects arrows to the center of the nearest side, which is fine for simple diagrams. But in more complex layouts, it would be much cleaner if arrows could be directed toward the center – reducing overlaps and improving readability.

    Allow OKTA SSO users to edit profile photoOpen

    Hi. I understand that users who are authenticated via SSO cannot edit a lot of their profile info (name, photo, etc) because these are automatically sourced from a company’s SSO database.However, some SSO vendors, like OKTA, do not support user profile photos. The impact of this is that these users have no way of adding or customising their profile photo, either through MIRO or Okta.My feature suggestion: allow OKTA SSO users to add / edit their MIRO profile photo.

    the real time updates for Jira cardsOpen

    I know that refresh of the ticket (by Jira card) can be forced by opening the card and clicking the Update button, but I'd prefer to have a "Sync the board with Jira" button that will update all the ticket presented on the board.

    When using the Windows app, provide a reload option on the tab in case the tab failsOpen

    When using the desktop app, sometimes one of the tabs goes “blank”. My assumption is that memory management has “suspended” or killed the tab. The only way I have found to reload the tab is to close it (or the whole app) and reopen it. I like how the app remembers what tabs are open, so I generally prefer to shut down and restart the full app, so that I don’t have to hunt through my project folder to find the board to reopen. It would be helpful if there was a “reload” option on the tab itself that could reload, without having to close and reopen.
