Hi,if you can add more shapes (more design - cartoon like, etc)), the shapes at sketchwow.com are very cool. thanks :!
I am using Miro for retrospective (just an eg) and have a bunch of notes… for the next retrospective session we just create a new frame, however, the notes from the previous retro stay there… We would like the notes to be associated with the frame rather than the board?Retro is just an example, this would help during many other repetitive sessions which are being facilitated which are kept in one board.https://community.miro.com/ask-the-community-45/notes-associated-with-a-frame-rather-than-the-entire-board-9280
It would be great if there were specific sections for all frames when we click on the sidebar to see all frames at once - similar to PPT
Hi there. It would be great that when holding a team meeting in Miro, the system can provide an efficient noise-cancelling system. Even if you are in a quiet place, just the sound of the computer vent gets into the microphone and makes the conversation a bit challenging.Other collaboration platforms like MS Teams or Zoom have great options for noise-cancelling. Wouldn’t it be beautiful to do everything in Miro without the need of a 3rd party app? This guy might need some ear protection
If I create a sequence of stickies by, inside a frame, creating 1 sticky then hitting Tab to create the next over and over, the I end up with a long snake-track of stickies in boustrophedon order, going left-to-right on 1 row, then right-to-left on the next and so on.If I then use the auto-layout grab handle, it will organise the layout, but lose the sequence. So if I have:A snake-track of stickies, connected by arrows. Top row is left-to-right 1, 2, 3, 4, 5; second row is right-to-left 6, 7, 8, then use the grab handle to turn the layout into a rectangle, I end up with:The same stickies organised into a rectangle. The bottom row is no longer in order, reading (left-to-right) 5 8 7 6. The arrows connecting 4 to 5 and 5 to 6 are a mess, frankly. It would be very useful to at least have the option to re-flow the whole layout, so I instead end up with something more like this:A manually re-flowed set of the same stickies; now the bottom row reads 5 6 7 8, right-to-left, with the arrows all neat and tidy Obviously, a lot of users are just going to be using auto-layout to impose order on disordered stickies, like in this great GIF from Facilitator School’s article on Sticky Tricks: But some of us are routinely working with snake-tracks of stickies from meeting notes and would like to be able to re-flow the layout without having to do so manually.Any chance this could be considered a feature request and added to your backlog sometime, please? 🙂
Hi there. this is in connection to a discussion topic. which I quote here: “Is there a way to upload or paste an Excel document into a miro board so that it displays live data? In other words, i can see the tables and graphs in miro without having to click a link, yet if I make changes to the Excel file off-line, these changes will show up automatically in miro when I open the board again.” I think Miro is great cos it gives you a perspective on all the important documents about a project without having to open and close them one at a time. I think this would work even better if Excell integration was imprved so that, when working on excell locally, the data (including charts) would update on my team Miro board (and even vice versa maybe). Thanks for the great product and looking forward to hearing from you! Giorgio
We are trying to integrate Miro with Jira Data center. Miro requests Jira’s Base URL but we use an external URL (different from Base URL) for integration purposes due to security reasons. Due to this we are not able to use Jira cards in Miro and it affects many users. We request you to accept external URL as a part of Jira Data center integration.
HiCould the mindmap capability please be amended to:allow more connection points than just left or right of the pieces, particularly the root piece as many as *I* choose would be preferable and up-down Text alignment left or right or centred under my control not forced by the relation to the root piece Ability to add bullet lists (even better full Markdown :-) Nodes to have - if I choose - a shape outline and background colour or......Or maybe extend how ordinary shape additions work eg just allow something like shift-return to add a sister shape that inherits the same parent and colour of shape and connector/ and ctrl-return to add a child-shape with ordinary connector & inherited attributes As is ‘mind-maps’ end up being two vertical lists with everything ‘magnetically attracted to align to the ’middle of the map’ Thnx
Add the option to create backups and pdf exports via the sdk
The diagramming features include preset themes for swimlanes and diagram shapes. It would be great to add custom themes too. For example, I would like to use the brand colours from my company.
We have run into users creating duplicate projects inside of a team because they do not have access to the project that is already there or they can’t find the project at first glance. The option to restrict project creation to Company/Team admins allows a PM to organize the workspace and cut down on work duplication.
Would love to see the way that docs operate on a Miro board, inside of a card, in the same way. So when you open a card, rather than just a link, it would have a doc you can paste and open to edit.
The way image editing works today is kind of backwards compared to how it usually works:Cropping the image is pretty straightforward. You click the crop icon and edit the crop. But what about if you want to keep the size and aspect ratio of the image but change what part of the image is in the visible frame? That’s messy, because the image is “static” within the frame – it’s the actual frame that’s manipulated when changing crop.Replacing a cropped image with another image is when things become really messy… Because when you do, the new image is automatically cropped and it’s really difficult to edit it the way you want. I would love to have a way of editing images similar to the way it’s handled in Canva or Keynote (or even Power Point), where you can have a specific size of the frame and change what fits into that frame.
HelloIconfinder is great. I think it would be helpful if the icons were grouped by style or ‘creator’: When I create diagrams with many icons e.g. a number of ‘people images + food icons’ I want the diagram to look consistent. This means it would be good if I could easily see which icons are form the same creator / library. A bit like what FlatIcon do, i.e. allow you to generally search but then browse by library / group.Thx
Currently when email address of any IDP provisioned user is updated in the IDP that update is not automatically reflected in Miro. We have to contact Miro support to get them to update user email on the application side to align with IDP.User emails can change in the IDP for number of reasons like name change, domain change and others and such changes to the email should be automatically synced to Miro via SCIM user provisioning.Other application vendors like Atlassian who also have SCIM user provisioning, do handle email change from IDP and automatically update user email in the target application based on changes to email in the IDP. There is technically no reason why this should not be possible.Enabling this feature would save time for both customers and support, since the email will be synced automatically not requiring any manual intervention and also keeps the data aligned and up to date from security perspective.
This is in part off the back of a “flaw” in the current selection method. However I realise this is probably more a “please change” than a “please fix” and so I have raised it as a wish list idea.I am so frustrated by the drag select feature. I am often finding myself having to start my select from outside of a frame, or having to zoom right in to avoid causing the following problem:When I start a selection, either using shift+click+drag or just click+drag, if my cursor is within approximately 1 cm of the inside edge of a frame, it will instead of drawing a box, drag the frame.I find this incredibly frustrating.I recognise there is a need to click and drag a frame, however it is not necessary to do this with the shift key held down. When the shift key is down I am deliberately making an effort to select multiple items, and so this should be reflected by ALWAYS drawing a box when I click and drag.PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE can you make this happen, I and my desk would be eternally grateful.
