    As a designer, It frustrates me that I can’t create elements and shapes that are to the exact size and ratio that I want . More precision with this will help me create more accurately represented wireframes within Miro and help me when creating custom boards. It just seems like a simple feature that has been overlooked.   If it’s been done on purpose, then it’d be interesting to hear the rationale

    Add ability to create a child board from a frame on an existing boardOpen

    As a user collecting information I need to share a frame from my master board as a standalone workspace for collaborators So I can easily manage ideas, feedback and suggestions from many children on a single parent board A child board can be created from a frame within an existing board A child board can be shared separately from its parent A child board has separate permissions from its parents A child board inherits the size/shape of the frame As the child board is updated, its changes are reflected in the frame it was created from on the parent

    It would be great if one could create boards with mermaid-js[0]Engineers like to programmatically create diagrams in Mermaid. At the moment we are screen-shotting the boards and drag&dropping them into Miro with a text box with the source code. It would be great to just paste the mermaid code and have the diagram render automatically so we can update changes on the fly. This would be especially helpful when in a meeting where we all look at the diagram together some changes are discussed. For now we make comments and then after the meeting somebody has to go through the “screenshot-update” loop after the meeting. [0] https://mermaid-js.github.io/mermaid/#/

    PlantUML support in MiroDelivered

    Hey Miro Community,We have been extensively using PlantUML to generate UML sequence diagrams in our architecture project.The human readable text format quickly helps in putting together and maintaining arch diagrams as code.This feature is supported by draw.io and other online tools and we hope to see the same in Miro so we can better collaborate.

    Jira Cards with same actions/options of classic cardsOpen

    We have three options clicking on a jira card: Edit Workflow SourceThe default card let us choose between more actions:  Convert to Jira Issue Switch type Fill color Add status Add tag Add assignee Insert Link Add Date If i select first a “classic card” then select a jira card using ctrl, i can use all options (including adding tags, changing colors, etc). It would be nice this behaviour by default

    Import of user stories to better laid out CardsOpen

    Hi,I am wondering is any one has found an option to import user stories from google sheets or excel with (Title, Description, Acceptance Criteria and (nice to have) some sort of Tag / Category) into cards where at least the first three items are always visible on the card, or at least in separate ‘fields’.I have set up and used the Zapier integration to get the data in but the ootb cards don’t really allow the separation of the Description and Acceptance Criteria :-(.Would also need to be able to export the cards back to a spreadsheet at the end of the workshop. Has anybody done this or might be able to help?Thanks,Christian

    Type suggest actionsOpen

    Similar to slack, figma, Mac OS, etc, I’d like to be able to press some key combination to pull up a search box overlay where I can just type the action I want Miro to perform.   For example:Instead of hovering on the toolbox icons on the left to see what they are, finding “templates” and clicking it, I’d love to press CMD + / (or some similar keyboard combo) to be able to bring up something similar to the mac “spotlight feature” (CMD + SPACE) or Slack quick jump (CMD+K) where I can just type “templates” and it will suggest that action.  I think that could be much faster to access/switch tools/perform actions without taking you away from the main canvas.

    Hi there. We are currently using the Miro Board Picker simply for helping our users pick which Miro board to *export* content to. But the design for the Miro board picker recently changed so it always conveys that the selected Miro board is going to be *embedded*. This is a confusing UX for any non-embed-focused Board Picker use cases. I feel like some small copy tweaks could make it retain its open-ended general utility without adding confusion for those who are focused solely on embed-centric use-cases? Suggested Copy Text Changes (Current vs. Suggested): “Confirm board embedding” vs. “Confirm board selection”“Anyone on the embed” vs. “Anyone on the board”“Embed board” vs. “Select board” Eg: Is it possible that this UI change may be reverted, refined, or conditioned on the “action” argument for the picker? Maybe there could be a new select action variant that is more generic => makes the UI not always say “Embed”? https://developers.miro.com/v1.0/docs/using-boards-picker-from-javascript Also, could you help clarify, is the boardsPicker also deprecated with the V2 SDK shift, and if so, what is the analogous alternative to use now in place of the boards picker?     Change the Diagramming shape to a different type by clicking on itOpen

    Give an option to select a different shape by clicking on it while creating a flow chat in diagramming mode. It will help to retain the text written and change the type of shape based on whether it is a decision or process for example.

    Deleting sticky by dateOpen

    We are using our boards to do a brand suggestion/ ideation board that lives for an indefinite amount of time. We post to the board using stickys, we would like stickys posted to the board to be deleted 60 days after they are posted to make room for more stickys, currently it seems our moderators or our posters are going to have to manually delete after 60 days for all our team members.

    Tend  to use this template to create org charts etc.It would be highly beneficial to create/remove tiers without having to redraw the treeFor example:Written a complex diagram already with multiple tiers A new tier needs to be added in the middle of the diagram Current Process: Add the new item in an existing tier, manually move all the tiers to lower levels (time consuming!!) Desired Process: Create a new tier between two tiers: add any new items under that tierI'm sure there are other use cases for this and other ways to make it better - but this would be a step in the right direction.Many thanks

    Ability to create app buttons within a boardOpen

    It would be really cool to drop a button for an app within a piece of content as a placeholder. e.g. if there’s a box in a template that says “add an image of your favorite animal,” the creator could add a google image app icon so the attendee didn’t have to find that in the app menu if they were unfamiliar with Miro!

    Enable option to open boards in new tab by defaultOpen

    Would be great when opening a number of boards. I know you can right click and choose “open in new tab”, but if you are scrolling through a list it’s enough to forget one time and you have to find where you were.I would like to be able to choose the default way to open boards.

    Support encoded equal sign in board URLsOpen

    Our department use an on premise version of Azure DevOps for our product management and we document the URLs to our Miro boards in the wiki that comes with this tool. The issue we've found is that Miro doesn't seem to handle when certain characters in the board URLs are encoded, which DevOps seems to do when the URLs are added to any wiki page.An example of this issue is below,The URL for the board https://miro.com/app/board/uXjTOtrB0r0=/The URL that DevOps produces when encoding the above URL https://miro.com/app/board/uXjTOtrB0r0%3D/The funny thing is Miro is converting the encoded URL back into the correct URL but still doesn't load the correct board.Is there anything that can be done to fix this issue as we want to make the linking of boards as simple as possible.

    Cell padding in tablesOpen

    Be able to specify cell padding in tables. Not only for text, but for the items inside as well, like stickies or kanban board.Expected behavior: when expanding items or adding more items to the the table, the table expands keeping specified padding between the items and lines. Table stays readable and clean.

    I would love for the images I use to lose the big white box (or “transparent” checkerboard) around them on demand. It would be nice to be able to remove the background on images I want in front of others.OR,It would be helpful to know which images in the google search have the transparent backgrounds and which ones don’t.
