On multiple occasions I have had an excel spreadsheet with valuable data that I’d like to bring to life on a board. While having a sticky for every row brings the data in, it would be even better to have control of the data. For example, I’ve wanted to bring user lists in many times. Ideally, I’d like to pull an entire row data into ONE miro artifact (shape, sticky, table, etc), instead of each column in the row being on different stickies. This is not a deal breaker, because I have a long road work around, but would be an extremely efficient nice to have. Quite frankly, I’m really surprised this option doesn’t already exist.
It would be useful to be able to convert mind map elements to a card where we can add additional description and later on use it as OKR structure or Project decomposition tool, that possibly could be exported to a project management tool. I see a lot of scenarios how to use it.
Because the default styling for lists includes an indent, when a text box contains only a list, there is a lot of wasted space in the box’s area. When creating templates or otherwise trying to align text with other elements, this doesn’t look great and gives less space for participants to write
I got training in scratch coding and Robotics through University of Johannesburg. After completing my short learning courses on scratch coding and Robotics I started a community coding club engaging community children from rural areas with the aim of bridging the learning gap between the urban and rural schools. But above that i was looking at girl child education and how best to empower girls. Up to far I can see value of what I'm doing.
I see so many great suggestions, with lots of votes - some of which are pretty basic needs to be met (Find and Replace feature as an example) that have been hanging around for years. Would be great to understandHow the wish list is evaluated Which tickets will be picked up / have been picked up Why certain tickets that have got large backing from the community aren’t being considered despite the length of time waiting (again, Find and Replace is a good example)
I would prefer the option to make boards PRIVATE first (from TEAM MEMBERS) versus having to remember to go in and change the access AFTERWARDS. Also, it’s confusing when it states that BOARDS within a PROJECT our only accessible to the PROJECT MEMBERS when in fact they are accessible to the ENTIRE TEAM. Unless you go back in afterwards and change it to PRIVATE.
Currently you can’t group tables with other objects which makes it harder to move grouped sections of the board around the board, or lock as a group of objects You also can’t send to back / front. It’s likely not a common need, but i have had a need for it whereby the table needed to sit behind another layer, and found it confusing and frustrating that this option wasn’t available as it is for other widgets.
Currently you can’t group kanbans with other objects which makes it harder to move grouped sections of the board around the board, or lock as a group of objects You also can’t send to back / front. It’s likely not a common need, but i have had a need for it whereby the kanban needed to sit behind another layer, and found it confusing and frustrating that this option wasn’t available as it is for other widgets.
Oops, I did it again - where's the edit button? User StoryAs a community user, i’d like the ability to update my replies post submission. This would enable user self correction and the opportunity to correct other errors that may only be noticed after submission.ContenxtI may be hte only one; yet, maybe not. There are moments where my haste takes priority over spelling or times when I may need to clarify a statement or position. It would be nice to be able to do so 😎 Thanks in advance!
Problem: Currently the permissions we can set via ‘Copy Board Content’ is a catch-all for:Copying or downloading images Copying native content Exporting the board Duplicating board Making board template. These are mostly individual functionalities that shouldn’t be treated the same. ExamplesE.g.I want participants to be able to copy / paste their working content to one of their own boards, but I don’t want them to be able to duplicate the board or make a template because the original workshop design (methods + visuals) is the author’s Intellectual Property (IP) E.g. I want people to be able to export a final pdf of their work, but I don’t wish them to be able to download the individual high resolution images that are either the author’s IP, or the copyright was purchased for this project only, with specific contractual obligations that the images won’t be freely accessible to othersSuggestion:I’d suggest a more granular approach that buckets the permissions into 3 dropdowns to serve the similar use cases:Copy native Miro content / Widgets Copy or download images / Export the board or frames as an image Duplicate board / Make template / Download .rtb backupBenefitsEncourages higher quality visual design knowing the contents can’t be stolen More control Keeps everyone legal
As I understand there is a Canvas LMS LTI integration for Miro. LTI is a standard so I presume it should not that difficuly to make Miro LTI integration for other LMS (e.g. Brightspace D2L).
I would like to be able to use different kinds of pens/brushes, often found in paint apps. I find the pen with customization colors and thicknesses, but can’t find something like brushes, markers, calligraphy pen tips, etc. But I have seen what looks like paint features in some sample boards in the discussions. If it’s in Miro, where do I find it?Thanks. This is all I find (image from my tutorial board) but ... Something like this is what I’m looking for:
I would like Miro to allow inserting cards from an Excel table in a natural way, without having to install anything or perform an integration
Unless I am mistaken, when a vector PDF is imported, it is converted to a bitmap. For example, assets exported from Illustrator as PDF, will look correct in Miro, but if exported as a PDF, the imported vector is pixilated. I have tested that it is possible to export SVG from illustrator and those retain vector format on export. However, in a workflow, that is not always possible so it would be great if you would retain the original PDF vector format on export. Also, while the illustrator SVG vector is imported and visible as a resolution independent vector, I note that it fails to render correctly on screen at some magnifications. For example, on file the SVGs turn into light grey blocks at 53%, then reappear as clear objects at 15%. This may only be with Illustrator generated SVG files since I have other SVG icons that do not disappear. I assume this is a bug.So, the feature improvement is to ensure PDF are also imported as vector (for those elements that are vector) and retain the vector format on export.
Hello, I have been using Mic for 4 months and I miss the possibilities to filter, analyze and categorize my Boards, today I have more than 100 boards divided among 15 projects. As we are an EdTech startup, and have several videos and lives on youtube, as well as events and webinars, access sharing of content happens quite often. I tried to create a board to help me in the orientation of the boards I have, based on the content and categories I access most on a daily basis and when I try to copy ( https://prnt.sc/UqNSAskZz-Mx ) and paste a link from one board into another board, it simply does not show the board image or a simple link, but a thumbnail of Mic requesting access ( https://prnt.sc/RxN_E2rI8jl1 ). So I would like to suggest creating a widget or app to manage the flow of activity and link boards within another board in an easier way.
When a user selects an object, it blocks other users from interacting with it. This frequently becomes a problem when one of the objects has a URL link in it. A user selects the object to expose the link, they click on the link and are brought to the other web page BUT that miro object is still selected and no other user is able to interact with it (which is necessary to access the link it holds). Proposal: After clicking a link, the object that was selected should be unselected to enable other users to access. Also, ideally, any selected object that a user has should be unselected after some duration of inactivity (30 seconds? 60 seconds?). I’ve seen instances where someone has selected an object, then got pulled into some other activity, meaning no one can collaborate on the selected object.
I’d like to see the files size limit of PDFs being imported into Miro to greater than 30MB. We use a LOT of AutoCAD and 3d Models that we put into PDFs and we are unable to import many of our PDFs into Miro with the current limitation of 30MB.
Hi, I am using grids very frequently in a way that I add stickies or boxes to grid cells. While I love the auto-size function when inserting objects, I am missing an option to align objects within the cell. In general, I would like to be able to place and stick objects to the cell and align them to get to a clean look.
Presentation mode is great, however you are not always available to guide a new joiner through a board. It would be very helpful to have the option to not only set a starting view point for a board, but also allow someone new to the board to click through in a predetermined path, ensuring they get the right information in the right order. Boards can be overwhelming at first sight and when you don’t know where to go first. A tour guide option would be very welcome!
Currently, when adding a file to a board, the file is auto-embedded. Which is great for when you want to include the file as a visual, however, sometimes this can interfere with the flow of your board and you would rather add the file as a reference and with a link to the original source document, so the information is always up to date without having to keep replacing the doc on the board. A small icon to show that an Excel doc exists, the ability to open the source doc and switch between displaying just the file type icon and the embedded view would be helpful
