What is the default setting? can anyone unlock the object and should I be clicking on the shield so that only I can unlock it?
The tooltip is slightly confusing - at this state it mean that anyone can unlock now or should I click on that icon to allow anyone to unlock.

Without the shield enabled, anyone who has full edit access to the board can unlock an element.
