This software looks like Miro... anybody know the name?

So - as in the example: You can even zoom into a embeded webpage while you are working on your board … it is just a fun to show customers live the content in a seminar.

No - I’ve been not be payed by someone … the stregth of this community is that we can recommend other tools if they have the ability to get to the result faster and in a better way …

Miro should and have to know that we are working with other tools if we have / need to … 

The discussion about the diagramming-packs and the open hints to the competitors shows that miro had changed their mind about adding a feature to the packages …

So  it is needed to tell people inside the community:

There are other solutions outside and maybe they do their job better …

So every one can choose wich solution they would like to take and wich way to go …

@mlanders You really had to dig deep there, all posts are 3+ months old. I of course agree that we should recommend other tools to each other. But honestly, a community member mentioning a competitor in >70% of all his posts… I just don't understand why? I come here to read and talk about Miro, not Collaboard or Lucid or whatever.

Every one who is here in the community is searching for answers:

• Some for their business
• Some for an easier handling of their software
• Some want to talk and teach every aspect of miro …
• I’ve done it all the same …

and coming back to … the solution with a C …

It is beside two others ...

Klaxoon / Conceptboard for us Germans the only solution that has an eye on DSGVO

So when Miro doesn’t do it’s homework to cover this what is needed for us German users
who else should do this (and giving hints to alternatives and solutions for users = It is a User Community and not only a commercial platform for pushing miro) as someone who is member of this community right from the beginning?

@mlanders That Medium story was published in Lean-Agile Evangelists, a community group about lean-agile workflows. It's relevant for the purpose of that group, is it not? And the group is relevant for Miro users because Miro can be used as a tool for establishing lean-agile workflows. Maybe you should read some of the information about community groups and learn what they're about. 🙂

I doubt anyone in this community has missed your stance on the whole GDPR thing because you are constantly talking about it. Time to move on? 🙂

Weighing in here:
In my opinion - mention of other software shouldn’t be excluded from this forum for the following 3 key reasons: 

1. It gives very use-case contextualized 1:1 corollaries of requested features.  Example: I have spent hours describing to Miro Devs the behavior of embedded iFrames that just run in the Miro board as opposed to in a modal light box pop up. Michael mentioning Collabboard or me mentioning FigJam ‘widgets’ and linking to a video is worth a thousand words to Miro devs studying the feature request. 
2. It can subtly highlight competitive, ground-truthed pressure for Miro product leads to understand specifically which features they’re being compared on, and who specifically / which personas are making those comparisons - which can lead to highly effective, targeted user interviews.   
3. It can promote the continuation of this being a ‘helpful community’ regardless of the issue (with some obvious limits).  
   1. Not all mentions of software are about competitors of Miro… some are about compliments / integral parts of Miro-inclusive work flows. 

Caveats: 

• It ​doesn’t seem productive to evangelize other software in this forum. Not saying that anyone is… but I agree with Henrik that people needn’t come here to be sold other software.
• Ideally mentions of other software, from a content and a tone perspective, have the generative purpose of the 2 outcomes listed above and that if they are indeed associated with a feature request, we should continue the behavior of pointing and encouraging creation of or voting on a wishlist item. 
• Ideally mentions of other software are last-resort solutions for a person. And aren’t suggested until its clear Miro cannot fulfill the need.
