Hi everyone,   I’ve been using Miro for a couple of months and it’s been great. I wanted to know if there was a drop-down menu feature that I could add to the boards. Basically, when a team member is updating a project, I would like them to be able to choose a status from a drop-down menu that I create. Is this possible to do?   If a feature like this is not available, I know that Miro is now open to developers, correct? How would I go about asking a developer to create a tool like this for me. What would they need know know (coding wise)? This feature and others I have in mind are quite important so I would like to find a way to implement it as soon as possible.

Can you explain the reasons behind all of the permission needed fro Miro integration into Slack? There seem to be number of extraneous permissions but that is likely due to my limited understanding of how this will be used with the org.

Hello! Although the SurveyMonkey and TypeForm integrations allow for survey results to display in Miro, is there an app or functionality within Miro that allows people to complete a survey directly in the whiteboard and show the results, similar to Miro’s voting app? I want people to rank a set of features in the whiteboard without sending them to their email to complete a survey. Thanks for your help!

Hi, In sharing a web plugin with a team, do we need to “wrap” Miro REST calls on our application server (e.g. within a Node.js server), sending the authorization in the header for each service call? Or can our plugin code remain as it is?  Currently, our test plugin makes use of code like this, using the Miro API that gets loaded automatically in the context of the plugin:      miro.board.widgets.create() Without OAuth, this works for the user who created and installed the plugin.  However, though other team members can invoke the plugin, they don’t have the authorization for this command to work. Basically, I’m wondering whether, for “web plugins” specifically, the OAuth flow is meant for a one-time installation by each team member, or whether the authentication has to be managed for each user every time they are using the plugin and/or whenever a specific Miro API is called. We did a session last week using miro and made extensive notes - today the whole board is empty!!!   Did Miro do something this last week?  Is this happening for anyone else?  Is there a way to restore a board? (no I didn’t export it or I wouldn’t be posting)

I was the board owner and was removed accidentally from my team member. Hence I can't restore the board from trash. Even I have URL I can't access and restore the content. What should I do…..

Hi everyone! How i can add an application icon to the widgetContextMenu? By looking at the documentation, i tried the following code: miro.onReady(() => {  miro.initialize({    extensionPoints: {      widgetContextMenu: {        title: 'Hi',        svgIcon: "<circle cx=\"12\" cy=\"12\" r=\"9\"></circle>",      }    }  })}) but in console i get the following error However, I can do it in bottomBar if I replace “widgetContextMenu” with “BottomBar”.

Still new to Miro and love so much of the functionality but some things really baffle me. I’m a consultant and am working with a client team on a month-long project (hence monthly passes work best. Monthly passes, to my knowledge, can only be extended to team members, which is fine. However, as a Team member, individuals (non account administrators) can “Invite Members” to join the team - thus extending full licensure to individuals at will (and potentially without our – the consulting firm's – knowledge or approval.  When they click the blue button at the Top to “Invite Members,” they can enter an email and extend the invitation, which would result in a charge for the account owner, and also possibly open up participation to a broader set of users then intended.      Am I missing something?

Hi - We really like this platform and just started to pilot it. We have the Team License package. We’d like the “Comment Only” users to have more features besides ONLY adding comments. They would like to use the default palette on the left side of screen. While I understand the purpose of Comments, it lacks other features that would help us. Without using another Team Member license, how can I accomplish this? I see there is an External Editors pilot program for Business and above. Can you enable us to this feature for the Team licensed customers? At minimum, can we be part of the pilot program?    Thanks much..   Rohita.

I’d like to hide part of the canvas.  I’d like to keep my participants from seeing some of my pre-designed templates.   is there a way to do this? 

Hi!   I would like to be able to add items, that have a certain functionality and would need a special rendering, like having dice represented on the board or playingcards, that can be flipped, or an avatar with a hands up indicator. Is there a way to do that? The normal API options do not allow for something like this.   Thanks Falk

Hi, we are organising a workshop next week and will present something in MIRO (video chat - presentation mode). We also want to show a film (youtube or other) during this presentation.  We tried it yesterday in a smaller group, but the audience could only see the film, but did not hear the sound. Can anyone help me on this point? Thanks, Annick  

I have noticed something strange: I created a Sticky Note and wanted to wrap the words into two lines. As I clicked enter it shows me this: I have seen this only one time before but I cannot remember how I could reproduce it. Any solution? Michael

Howdy folks, This might be a pretty specific question, but I’m looking for a way to easily visualize internal links structure of a website using Miro.  I have all the data as a CSV file, first column is the Source URL and 2nd column is destination URL. I want to see if there’s any way I could use Miro to import the data and create a mindmap of the relationship between all these pages.

Hi, 30 mins ago I created a new ‘sticky note’ box and then left-click-dragged from one of the 4 side-handles and it made a new box whilst linking them with an arrow…   Now, I can’t figure out how to do it! I make a new ‘sticky note’ box and left-click-drag from one of the 4 side-handles but it doesn’t make a new sticky note box, it just drags out an arrow!   This loss of productivity is killing me! Have the features changed in the last 30 mins, did I dream it or have I lost all box skills?   Thanks

I am benchmarking from someone elses board, and the documents they have in there show an option to open source file.  Whether I drag and drop, or use the upload option, my files seem to be stored on Miro instead of linked to the source.  Am I doing something wrong?

How do you resize the table columns? When I go to edit the table, it gets super small and I can’t see how to change the column size.
