My friend Ilia invited me to use Miro and I joined his “Team” without knowing it. Today, I upgraded my plan to 2 members and wanted to create my own “Team”. But once I left Ilia’s “Team”, every board that I worked on disappeared. And my Miro subscription is gone also.
How can Ilia send those boards back to me?
Assuming your friend is on a paid plan they should be able to backup the boards you created (download board backup option from the export menu) which will generate separate RTB files which you can then restore to a team within your new paid subscription.

YES, my friend told me the board was still there on his side.
Once I left Ilia’s “Team”, my subscription seems to be gone.
What should I do now? Pay for it again? Would I get charged twice?
You subscription should still be valid so it is likely just a user account issue which Miro support should be able to help with. Open a support ticket here: Submit a request – Miro Support & Help Center
