    Highlight connecting lines when hovering the cursor to show how objects are relatedOpen

    THE ABSTRACT:Where connecting lines and arrows have been used to join stickies and shapes, it would be awesome to be able to hover over a particular object with the cursor and be able to see which other objects are directly connected to it, cutting out unnecessary noise. THE PROBLEM:We’ve created a really complex user journey out of stickies with connecting arrows to show all of the ways the different stages can connect, depinding on the actions a user takes. There are TONS of connecting arrows and it’s making it really hard to see what’s what.The flow through the journey and the different paths you can take is a key part of the story we need to tell on this project What we ideally need is a way to click on an individual sticky and have just the connecting lines that relate to it stand out so they’re more visible within the mess. We’d like to use this for a stakeholder playback session but it’s too hard to navigate at the moment. In terms of this particular project this is actually a critical feature for us as we’re either going to have to re-think how we play this back or spend time replicating our work in another programme to get the clarity we need for our playback.Our messy, interconnected user journey THE POTENTIAL SOLUTION:Clarity could be achieved either through highlighting the connections between selected objects or by making unrelated ubject fade into the background. I’m thinking of something similar to the way that Kumu helps you highlight individual connections in complex maps

    Format Painter Option in MIROOpen

    Similar to the likes of Office365 is there an ability to use a Format Painter function within MIRO. Intention is to help people format paint their template and space to be more geared towards a company colour/theme profile? Might make it easier rather than doing manual templates.

    BPMN: Default Sequence FlowOpen

    The shape list in Miro seems to be pretty complete with regards to the BPMN 2.0 standard.What is missing though is the default sequence flow indicator on the connecting flow arrows following after a gateway. They are thoroughly used by process engines and described vastly i.e. here.I was trying to port some diagrams from Camunda Modeler to Miro and fell short on this particular feature. The little / indicator for the default flow is missing in Miro.For process engines, this feature is mandatory. This might not be the case for diagrams in Miro, as you can express it with text. But it is a potential source of bugs, when using Miro-based BPMN diagrams in process engines.

    Adding images to mind map nodesOpen

    Some mind mapping tools like Ayoa are so powerful. You can add images directly to the main node or children. In Miro, we can't add images to nodes directly. We can just add them to the board and it is not useful. Because of that, we can not align pictures together with nodes by your perfect align button. We have to re-arrange the images again and again. Please add this feature to your perfect app. Thanks in advance.

    Subscript/Superscript and Greek alphabetOpen

    My husband and I both make extensive use of Miro in our teaching of science and maths. We’d both love a subscript and superscript option within the text tool to simplify teacher and student use of formulae and units of measurement e.g. allowing users to quickly type ‘m/s2’ for acceleration with the ‘2’ as superscript. ALSO, Greek alphabet would be a great addition! Thanks, Miro - you make teaching and learning fun!

    Hello,In my sticky Notes I cannot edit, change, or begin my bullet points that do not default to 1. Why would I not want to start it from 1? Because I am using the previous sticky note as bullet point 1 and it has a long amount of text. Therefore, the next sticky I want to begin the default with 2. Please add this as a feature and make this fix.

    While toolbars are useful for board development I wish to have a hotkey like in Figma cmd + \ which hides all the toolbars in order to see a clear picture while in development mode still.Presentation feature might be useful but is to much hustle to do a fast check

    Company Admin should view all content under the accountOpen

    As the Company Admin on our account I wish I had the ability to view/move all content created under our organization’s account.It’s difficult to audit our content and ensure document management standards are adhered to when I cannot see all projects and boards that have been created under our account.

    Improve Selection Visibility & Precision in MiroOpen

    In Miro, it’s easy to have objects selected without realizing it — for example, clicking on an empty area while another object behind or outside the viewport remains selected. This often leads to accidental move, delete, or group actions. Idea 1 — Selection IndicatorWhen items are selected anywhere on the board (even outside the viewport), show a clear UI indicator, such as:“3 items selected” “12 objects selected (outside viewport)”This is a common pattern in tools like Word and PowerPoint. Idea 2 — Directional Area Selection (CAD-style)Introduce two area-selection behaviors:Inside selection → selects only objects fully contained in the rectangle Touch/intersection selection → selects anything the rectangle touchesThis could be based on drag direction or modifier keys (Ctrl / Alt).Why this mattersFewer accidental mistakes More precision on large boards Better workflow for power users👉 If you’ve ever dealt with “ghost selections”, please vote 👍

    Stop opening Spaces sidebar when opening a boardOpen

    Does anyone know if there is a way to remove the left side bar that now opens every time i open a board. It is ok if it is there, as long as it is closed.It is just extremely annoying that I have to close it every time I open a board.

    API call to backup/export boardOpen

    There is a feature in the web gui that I would like to see a REST endpoint for: the ability to export an entire board.This would help in the current cases where boards or board activity are deleted and your support staff is unable to spend the time to recover the lost data for customers.With a REST endpoint, I can script a nightly backup of our boards and then if something happens can simply restore it myself.This functionality exists in the web gui already so hopefully it wouldn’t be too hard to expose that existing endpoint. Related topics: - https://community.miro.com/got-a-question-ask-the-community-45/undo-deleted-items-361 - https://community.miro.com/wish-list-32/automatic-backups-431

    Deleting Boards as the AdminOpen

    Miro has been an excellent app for doing classroom critiques with all my students, but the inability to delete boards as the administrator (with an educational account) is abnormal.  Students invariably create their own boards on my account and I have no way of deleting them once the class is over.  I currently have 18 untitled/extra boards created by students from a class of 40.  If this continues, I won’t have any way of creating new boards in the coming years.  Admins need to be able to delete boards created by team members.

    Uploading pre-tagged spreadsheet dataOpen

    Hi, Is there any way to import ‘pre-tagged’ spreadsheet data into Miro? eg we’ve captured it in another application but would prefer to sort/synth within Miro. It would be great if there was a file format/structure that would allow us to upload it with all the tagging data applied!   Cheers,   Matt

    Summarise board invitations in a single notification email, rather than spamming users with an email per boardOpen

    We run events for external users and, as part of that, provide access to a number of Miro boards. For longer events, this could be 50+ boards because we break groups into smaller teams (with a board copy per team).Currently, we grant access to these boards at board level (rather than project or team level) because doing so at project or team level allows anyone with access to see a list of names and email addresses of other users, potentially breaking GDPR rules (https://community.miro.com/wish-list-32/hide-email-addresses-other-members-for-some-team-members-3222).However, when shared at board level, Miro sends a notification email for every single board shared and we regularly receive complaints from our users that they have been “spammed by Miro”.  This is not good for our reputation, or Miro’s reputation.Some users are also confused into believing that they need to “accept” every invitation, which is not the case. In an ideal world, Miro would delay sending a board share notification for (say) ten minutes.  If another board is shared in that time, by the same user, that would get added to the notification email and the ten minute timer would reset.  This would continue until ten minutes has elapsed without another board being shared, at which point an email would be sent saying something like “Mark shared “EX01 - One Question” and 32 other boards with you”. Perhaps there is an interim step where either: - The person sharing is able to choose to not send invite emails; or - Miro just doesn’t send any additional invite emails within 10 minutes of having sent a previous one. We really need a quick fix for this as it is causing regular complaints.  More information in this non-wishlist thread:https://community.miro.com/peer-support-45/resolved-how-to-stop-spam-invite-to-board-mailers-4058

    Resize UML classesOpen

    It seems that there is something off with resizing classes in a UML diagram. If I need to enlarge the class to show more attributes, it also expands the operations space unnecessarily, and there’s no way to grow the attributes space inside the existing shape space. This leads to ugly looking objects with large, empty operations space.It’s really important to be able to grow/shrink the two spaces of the object separately.

    Board Size and PerformanceOpen

    After several months of use, we have experienced performance issues related to board size, which appear unpredictable. While we understand that smaller files perform better, it is currently unclear what the size limits are. A visual indicator showing current board usage against a defined limit or percentage would help us manage content more effectively and avoid unexpected crashes.Additionally, comments added to images contribute to board size, so greater visibility on overall board limits would be very helpful.

    Circle shape with quadrants, or slices/wedges/pie shapeOpen

    My boss already finds using Miro a challenge and insists on Powerpoint… I am always using Miro and can you believe it, I got him to use Miro and the one shape he needed is not there!! We want to use a diagram that is a simple circle shape with the ability to add different colours and text to quadrants or half circle with two quarter quadrants and different text and background colour in each quadrant/section. So he’s back over to using Powerpoint. This so basic and I can’t believe it’s available!

    Tag + highlight sentences in 'text boxes', to be able to analyze text. Eg. for user / academic researchOpen

    Qualitative user researchers often work with audio transcipts, academic researchers with long text passages. Wouldn’t it be possible to highlight and tag specific parts of ‘text (T)’ so you can search for the tags later on? Alternatively, find a way to easily break up text (like a transcript) into single lines, and then be able to tag specific ones.Currently it’s possible to achieve this in “Research Repository” services. I’m wondering if Miro can be used as an alternative to these services.

    Add object interactions (Similar to Powerpoint triggers)Open

    Ask:Add object interactions for all shapes, diagramming tools, notes etc. Problem Statement:I mainly use Miro to document analysis and presenting it to stakeholders. The diagramming options and scope to document across a sprawling canvas are great. However, some missing functionality limits creativity and its ability to share information easily. For example I have a process map for a standard happy path. I want to add an overlay for system touchpoints as well as build in exception paths. Currently, I would either have to add the overlay and create multiple journeys within the same flow, which can quickly become very convoluted, or create new maps for each scenario. Multiple journeys = a lot of panning across the board between journeys which can become quite confusing and nauseating for viewers when sharing.One journey = Visually complex process map that is hard to digest, especially for stakeholders unfamiliar with the journey. Idea:Similar to Powerpoints triggers (but hopefully more easier to use). If i could add simple buttons that have show/hide links to other objects, I could have all of this information sat in one, interactive flow. Great for stakeholders that im presenting to and easier for me to present!Adding in object interactions instantly gives a huge amount of options for creativity and flexibility when capturing/presenting analysis. Im sure there are many, many use cases for something as simple as this. If anyone has something that is currently available to achieve this, that would also be helpful to know!Im also aware that maybe this leans too much into the prototyping module, but I believe could be manual and simple enough to benefit users massively without negatively impacting on that.

    Enhance AzureDevOps CardOpen

    I would like to see the following enhancements made for the Azure DevOps Cards:The drop-down field displaying the areas is too short. Please show the full path When selecting types mutliple selections must be possible. It is really enoying to open Azure Cards multiple times to select all types one by one. The result list is using lazy loading. Unfortunately some teams in my company have quite large result lists. To be able to select all of them you need quite some patience to scroll down until you reach the last entry. Please remove lazy loading. In general the Azure Card Window should become the possibility to maximize it. Using the scroll bars all the time is quite enoying The Feedback button of Azure Cards does not work. You can not read or edit the window because of some transparency issues (tested on multiple browsers). Your testers should have found that bug.

    Ability to restrict access to individual boards within SpaceOpen

    I have a Space where the whole team has Editor access by default, which works great for most boards. Some boards in these Spaces I need to lock down: either make it view-only or hide it from most of the team entirely.Right now I can't do that because the Space permission is always the minimum for every board inside it. My only options are to change the default for the entire Space (which messes things up for every other board) or move the board out of the Space (which breaks my board/space structure).It would be really helpful to be able to override the Space default on a per-board basis, allow to override space access setting per board that lets me set tighter permissions than the Space allows.
