    Sticky Notes with the Card superpowers (description, assignee, etc.)Existing Feature (closed)

    I much prefer the Sticky Notes for their colorfulness and legibility. But I really like the features of the Cards: adding a description, assignee, etc.. Any chance the Miro team could do their wizardry on the Sticky Notes and give them description, assignee, etc..

    Pay for extra board in Free PlanOpen

    General ideaI only use miro for my own sake. I never collaborate. The only thing I really ever miss are more editable boards. So I suggest that users on the Free Plan may “unlock” more boards for a monthly cost per board.Suggested implementationEach “unlocking” could cost $1/month. So 4 “unlocks” would be $4/month and so on. “Make editable” can be added as a menu option for each board. Clicking that would give the user the option to setup a monthly subscription to that board.“Make view only” should then be added as a menu option for each “unlocked” board. Then the user can stop the monthly subscription to the board.The user should be offered to upgrade their plan if the monthly board subscriptions reach the same cost as a plan that includes at least the same number of currently “unlocked” boards. (At the moment that would be the Starter Plan which has unlimited boards.)

    Choose Which Miro Board Is Set To View-Only on Free AccountOpen

    On a Free account, if you create more than 3 editable boards, one is automatically set to “View Only” but it doesn’t let you choose which one. It should be an option to select the board you want to set as “View Only” to make room for the new board.

    Shortcut to show/hide frames list sidebarDelivered

    Hi there! I constantly use the frames sidebar to move to and fro when explaining a topic during a training. The only shortcut that I could find related to frames is “F”, which creates a new frame. What I’d really find useful is a shortcut that shows and hides the Frames sidebar. Hopefully, when it shows it, it’d change focus there, so that one can move along the list of frames with the keyboard only.   Thanks! Alan

    Enable the use of a Jira custom field for T-shirt sizesOpen

    Currently, it's only possible to use the estimation tool with jira cards if they use the default story points (fibonacci).Some developers prefer to use T-shirt sizes, and it requires a custom field in Jira to support it.My request would be to enable the link between this custom field and the T-shirt sizes option in the estimation app.

    Need a filter for boards NOT in Projects - top level of teamDelivered

    When I look at the list of boards for a team, I don’t want to have to mentally sort through which boards are part of a project, vs at the top level. As far as I can tell, there is no way to filter on just the top level. There are 2 choices to see the boards in a Team:All boardsSelect one of the projects to see just the boards for that projectWhy no choice to see boards not in projects???

    Support for all BPMN symbols, e.g. event typesOpen

    Miro’s BPMN shapes include start, intermediate and end events but not the various event types, e.g. timer events and message events. This means that I can’t create a complete BPMN diagram like I can in many competitor tools.

    Make pen options smallerOpen

    The smallest pen setting is too thick.  I have a requirement for a pen that is ½ to ¼ as small as the smallest available thickness.   The minimum line thickness should be at least as small as the lines that make up standard text letters.   Decreasing the line size would greatly enhance the usability of taking handwritten notes in Miro.Otherwise fantastic job!thanks,Josh

    Disable Magic Organize in the frames sidebarOpen

    REQUEST: Disable the magic organize button on the frame sidebar. Or just make it go away. Or make it only available to the board owner.BACKGROUND: The “magic organise” button has disrupted two of my training sessions. I have a 200 frame canvas which I’ve meticulously organised over two years into columns (logically matching the top to bottom flow of the sidebar). One day about a month ago this wiggly button appears on the frame sidebar. One of my students (or I) inevitably click on it by mistake or out of curiosity and BANG all 200 frames are now ordered in rows. Unless I’m immediately aware that it’s happened (and immediately CTRL Z or ask the specific student to CTRL Z) the board’s order is destroyed and restoring it takes hours. “What slide are we on?” asks one of my students. “I’m sorry I don’t know” I have to say. I guess I could tell all my students NOT to press the wiggly button but that’s like telling someone not to think of juggling clowns… once you’ve said it, it’s almost impossible not to do it!ASIDE: This seems to reflect an attitude of throwing new options into Miro thinking that new options are always a “value add” without proper thought as to how it might impact particular use cases. These might be considered “edge cases” and therefore unimportant. But anyone who wants to use Miro for training / teaching and has a board setup over a long period of time would have given feedback that this “neat and helpful idea” potentially renders Miro almost useless for training / teaching.

    Hello!I am math teacherSometimes I using a coonection line. But it is always as default mode set as curve with arrow. I dont need it. It is annoying me. Usually I need a straight line without arrow. Can you made a feature which remembers preffered arrow type? I need this

    Enable changing sort order of board filtersOpen

    Sorting features often let users change the sort order. Please consider bringing that to Miro.While Miro allows sorting of boards (which is a great), it doesn’t allow you to change sort order:   For users with dozens/hundreds of boards, this requires multiple page loads to find a board that’s at the “other side” of the default sort.For example, today I was looking for the boards I created when I first started using Miro at my current employer 5+ years ago.I clicked on sort by “last created’ and then had to let Miro reload the boards I created 10 different times before getting to my first board.Also, “last created” doesn’t make sense as a label - you only create a board once, so the “last” qualifier is confusing.

    Hide objects by roleOpen

    We create boards internally and use them for road mapping. We love collaborating with our customers but we also want to included internal information in the one place rather than making multiple boards. I’d like to suggest the ability to set the visibility of cards and frames so that only certain user groups can see it. Or, at the least, make it so that guest visitors cannot see that content. Use case example being a roadmap where you include card(s) with the effort in that is for internal consumption only, and not for external or guest users to see. (apologies if this is a double up but I couldn’t find anything like this)

    Better text label and connector interactionOpen

    Scenario I’m drawing a diagram - diagramming icons with text labels.  I connect 2 icons together using a connector that attaches to the bottom of the icon.  My connector overlaps with the text, making it hard to read.I can fix this by taking some steps:I give the text a white highlight I have to send the connector to the back (bringing icon to the front doesn’t workNow my diagram looks super clear - the connector and the text look great.Suggestion: make this behavior less fiddly!  I think the fact that “Bring to front” on the diagramming shape doesn’t already bring the text label in front of the connector might be a defect.  But if we are trying to make things slick and intuitive, perhaps you could think of a way to make this use case deliver the great looking outcome without the fuss.

    Automatically group comments and objects they were left onOpen

    When leaving a comment on an object, it goes without saying that comment belongs with that object.It is currently not possible to group the object and the comments on it, so moving the object will leave the comment behind.I would argue they should not only be groupable, but also be grouped by default. Then it’s still possible to ungroup them if needed, but I suspect that use case would be rare compared to the amount of use cases where the user would want the items to stay grouped.

    Different styling, especially sketchOpen

    A sketch style, as available in (for example) draw.io would be great to have in Miro. It gives a different, more approachable view for diagrams.It’s common in other systems like excalidraw and provided by rough.js.There’s no styling that I’m aware of currently in Miro which can give a comparable view.

    Set View should be default viewOpen

    Suggestion:  When a board is share a user is asked to set the view.  it would be great if the default view was the to the whole board area.  Let the board owner decide if they want to change the default setting by letting the board owner change the default setting.  That way , sharing is done quickly and those who want to customize it still can.

    Easily go to the near or far end of a line via the menuOpen

    I use a lot of boxes with lines connecting the boxes.  I do this because the line is a good, old-fashioned “visual hyperlink”.  This works pretty well when the number of boxes and lines is small, but as they increase, it becomes harder and harder to follow the line linkage between boxes.  Here is an real-world example:Looks a bit like a bowl of spaghetti. I use tricks (such as coloring the lines) to help distinguish the linkages, but with a complex, organic diagram -- like above -- it’s still difficult to follow the linkages.I propose that there be a couple of new menu items when a line is selected. The new menu items would be…Go to near end Go to far endDefinitions:  Based on the selection point (on the line), the...Near-end is the end of the selected line that is the least number of pixels from the selection point. Far-end is the end of the selected line that is the most number of pixels from the selection pointIn the rare case where the number of pixels is equal, the system might just have to pick a random end.  If it’s not the end that the user wanted, it would be easy for the user to try again.What should happen once the menu item is selected?If the selected end is attached to an object, focus should be on the object (i.e., the same as if a hyperlink to the object was chosen). If the selected end is not attached to an object, focus just goes to the end of the line.This would make it easier to traverse along the spaghetti bowl, following along the pasta between the meat balls.

    100 Board packageOpen

    Hey I'm using miro at work and It's brilliant. It's perfect tool for me to think, plan, make decisions, and store important things.While using it at work I got used to it so much that I started using it for my private - daily stuff. So I use it more as a note. The problem is that privately I'm using free version and it has only 3 boards.I wanted to extend it so I've checked Your subscription plans and the next after free is Starter pack. But I see it has features that I will never need on my private usage. It’s also expensive for my need of creating notes only.My suggestion is that it would be cool to have a plan between free and starter that will have unlimited or bigger amount of editable boards. It could be dedicated for private users that got used to miro at work - just like me. It could cost 1$ or 2$. Or if it can't be unlimited, it could be maybe some boards pack - 100 boards for 1$ or something like that. It would be very nice extension for free users.

    It should be possible for the desktop app (and probably the browser) to remember the email I use to login and whether I use SSO. At the moment I have to click multiple times and sometimes enter my email address in over and over.

    From photo to miro boardDuplicate Idea (closed)

    Hey, I regularly have the situation where an in-person workshop is later on documented through pictures in miro; say bc there have already been remote meetings before in miro regarding the same topic. Now, either, these pictures of walls full of post-its or hand dranw flow charts have to remain as pics on the miro or one has to manually “translate” them into the miro board. My wish: A feature, where miro recognizes post-its, flow charts etc. from pics - and automatically transforms them into the right form of representation incl. what has been written on the post-its etc. That would be AWESOME!
