    Edit Mind Maps as an OutlineOpen

    A mind map is essentially hierarchical data.  It would be really time saving to be able to not only view, but also edit mind map data as an outline.  It would save me so much time fussing around with a lot of point and clicks if I could just quickly brain dump all of my ideas.  It would also be really neat to be able to change their relationships within that outline view too, increase or decrease indents, move an item from one parent node to another, etc.  Think of all of the edits you could make quickly with out fussing around with creating boxes, double clicking to edit the name, dragging and dropping lines.

    Outliner app or tool (hierarchical structuring of text)Open

    I would love to see a simple outlining tool in Miro to enable users to organise information  hierarchically.Outlines are the text equivalent of Miro’s graphical ‘infinite canvas’, the example of this par excellence being Workflowy. They are a natural complement to mind-mapping.An outline is simply a document composed of ‘nodes’ or bullet-points that can be infinitely nested underneath each other:Fruits Apples Oranges Vegetables Carrots Cucumbers Step one: Create a very simple Outline tool as a Miro app. To my mind, there are just two essential components of any outlining tool: i) the ability to expand and collapse parent nodes to show or hide nodes that are nested beneath them; and ii) the ability to grab a node and drag it to a different location with the structure, so that content can be reorganised on the fly. A third, non-essential, component of most outlining tools is the ability to ‘focus’ on a particular node, zooming in to show only a particular part of the hierarchy. This is a simple and quick way of organising ideas and would have so many use cases within meetings run inside a Miro board.Step two: once we have a simple outlining tool, the obvious next step would be to link this to Miro’s mind mapping app so that outlines can be viewed as a mind map and vice-versa. Personally, I find it far easier to create content in an outline and then simply visualise it as a mind map rather than creating the content within a mind map.Step three: the final step after that would be to add OMPL support. OPML has long been a common file format for text organised in this way, so enabling import/export from or to OPML format would mean this simple Miro app would then act as an interface between Miro and the hundreds of other apps that use this file format, including mind-mapping apps like Mindnode or outlining apps like Workflowy or OmniOutliner.

    Integrate with ProductBoardOpen

    Ability to embed roadmaps from ProductBoard in MIRO. This would enable teams to be able to include a roadmap or feature set from ProductBoard in a MIRO whiteboard.

    Table - Ability to Pivot to a User Story MapOpen

    With the table widget, it would be amazing to be able to pivot to a User Story Map. This would be a variant to the new ability to pivot to a Kanban board. The opportunity/challenge is in the pivot to show the groupings/releasing, and then the visual of activities, tasks, user stories.This would be extremely helpful for teams when doing planning.

    Hide a layer and objets except to specific usersOpen

    As a decision workshop facilitator, I want to be able to work with my team mates on a layer that is hidden from the rest of attendees. I need to be able to add new objects/pics/Shapes directly in this hidden layer. And, when we are ready, I want to be able to reveal easily this entire layer, or part of its content.A variation of this need would be to be able to set a zone on the board where everything that is moved into becomes invisible to the audience (except the people I have specified).

    Context Aware Keyboard ShortcutsOpen

    I use the “N” shortcut to create new sticky notes while I’m facilitating meetings in Miro. When I’m zoomed in on a frame, I click in my Miro window and hit “N”. However, if I click in a frame (as I most often do) and the frame is not locked, I end up renaming the frame to “N” without realizing it. All I know is a new sticky note wasn’t created (since the selection box of the frame is invisible while I am zoomed in to add content). My request is that Miro would be aware of when I am zoomed in so much that the title for a frame isn’t in view and when I attempt to use keyboard shortcuts to add elements (n, t, s, etc.), rather than rename the current frame, it creates the new element the keyboard shortcut intended. If the frame title is in view, then having text rename the frame would be fine. Also, this same situation happens when I am selected on an object (sticky note or text) and it is out of view. I end up changing the text on an object I can’t see, only to wonder why a new sticky note or text box isn’t created from the shortcut. Later, I find out I wiped out text that was meaningful but I couldn’t see when I accidentally changed it.

    Adding the backlog iteration path to the Iteration fields in Planner for Azure DevOpsOpen

    It will be nice to have the backlog, or the quarter Iteration path, as option in the planner with the integration with Azure DevOps. Then it will be possible to get an overview of the PBI's that are on the backlog.

    Align shapes inside tablesOpen

    For some reason, when shapes or any other objects are added to a table, Miro removes the ability to align those shapes. This means that when creating process flows that use tables for swim lanes or any other work that uses tables to organize ideas, they end up looking incredibly messy and disjointed because shapes are misaligned and none of the arrows in process flow diagrams line up neatly. This might seem like a nitpicky issue, but when you’re presenting to clients or trying to use Miro as a serious tool for executive decision making, you work either looks messy and unprofessional or you end up wasting valuable time trying to manually align objects without the help of alignment aids or the align functions. When you want to get your ideas across, removing any and all distractions is crucial to get buy-in from stakeholders, persuade leadership to sign-off, or get your clients excited about a solution - this is one distraction that is totally unnecessary and makes the difference between Miro being a professional tool for all levels of an organization or just a doodling tool for internal team ideation and whiteboarding.I’m not sure why you’d ever NOT want to have alignment functionality within a table, especially since Miro touts the table as a feature to be used for things like process mapping. Please enable all alignment features when placing shapes and other objects inside of a table. Thanks!

    Ability to Use AI to Create AWS Diagram GenerationOpen

    Miro currently only generates shapes with text and not actual AWS diagramming components forcing users to constantly edit content instead of being able to generate accurate content.

    Option to collapse/hide swimlanes on a Kanban TemplateOpen

    I’m using Kanban for project pipelines. It would be fantastic to be able to hide a swimlane (deadline/date) along with all the cards that fall within it once all the tasks are marked done so that the board can remain uncluttered without having to delete historical info.

    Ability to tag boards with similar topics and list boards by tagsOpen

    Currently, the main way to organize boards is via Spaces; however, Spaces requires a shared permission model.  Instead, it would be nice if users could Tag boards with similar topics and then have the ability to list boards by tags.

    Re the new Doc object.Please add a shortcut to Headings, similar to in Google Docs, MS Word, and Confluence, to name a few.The shortcut I use in Windows (and presumably Cmd + Option works?) are:Ctrl + Alt + 1 → Heading 1 Ctrl + Alt + 2 → Heading 2 Ctrl + Alt + 3 → Heading 3 Ctrl + Alt + 0  → Normal (in Confluence, at least)

    Keyboard shortcuts for TalktrackOpen

    We use Miro for preparation of educational material for my daughter who has cerebral palsy.Due to her motor disability, she controls the computer via an ocular mouse, i.e with her eyes, using a specialist software (Tobii´s Think Smartbox).With this software we can create on screen buttons that she can look at and which replicate keyboard actions. These buttons are typically larger than standard interface buttons as her accuracy is not good enough when things are too smallIdeally we would be able to have her:Look at and select a Talktrack Element (this can already be done) Activate and control the Talktrack via her own toolbar buttons which have keyboard shortcuts assigned to them (see screenshot) What do we need:Direct Keyboard shortcuts for controlling Talktrack

    Enable flexibility for FULL licensesOpen

    HiOur current company agreement/license setup means we have a limited number of (Full) licenses.This means that everyone within the company do not have a full license, for budgetary reasons. This works well enough most of the time.We work in a team based setup, and most or our teams run various workshops multiple times every year. These are e.g. related to work processes, team dynamics, marketing or product evolvement.At these workshops, most attendants have a very big need for a full license to be able to fully contribute. In between workshops, however, needs are very small. This means that for many users, a full license is required between 3-10 times/year (corresponding to 5-20 work days in total) for prepping, planning and executing workshops.With our current licensing setup, there is very little flexibility. Users either have a full license 24/7/365, or a limited (free) license all the time.I would like us to be able to place some of our full licenses in a “pool” to enable a setup with  a more “flexible use of our licenses”. The licenses in this pool should NOT be tied to certain individuals, but available to anyone from within our company when needed.When people log on, this could either mean that they are provided a full license (if any are available in the “flex license pool”), or they have to settle with a free/limited license (if no full licenses are available in this pool) - and then also preferably get a message saying something like “No Full licenses available, your Miro use will be limited”.The flex licenses could also be limited by some kind of time stamp, so users get “thrown out” from using a full license after e.g. 5 or 10 hours to make sure no one occupies a full license longer than really needed.(Please note that I said “place some of our full license in a pool” above.Reason: some of our users/roles have a continuous, every day need of a full license, and these people should not be a part of this pool license setup.)

When the tape is clicked, it is sent behind the target object, making the underlying content visible; when the target object is clicked, the tape is brought to the front again, hiding the content.

    Configurable stylus smoothingOpen

    At the moment, Miro’s Pen tool does apply automatic smoothing to hand-drawn lines, which can affect the precision of what you sketch—especially when using tools like Apple Pencil. Unfortunately, there isn’t currently a built-in setting to disable this behavior.Provide a built-in setting to disable this behavior.

    Story Point control not integrated with the Story Point field on Azure DevOpsOpen

    I am just busy investigating how we can use Miro in our next planning session and I am struggling with understand how story points added to a card are synced to DevOps.Dragging the point onto the card does not seem to update the Story Point field on the card when editing the popout or when syncing the board. It adds it to the Azure Card like this but does not sync to DevOps as the Story Point field which makes it a nice control to use but not very useful.Being able to choose which field to add it to would also be useful - in our case it the story point field however others may want to use the estimate field.
