Hello everyone! My company’s team as about a dozen members and we are currently paying month by month. It would be so much easier from an expense report/billing perspective to be able to have 3 month or 6 month billing options! I have seen other company’s have this option and I wanted to suggest it, I’m sure other large teams feel the same way.
When I create a sticky note with a hyperlink, I want the hyperlink text to be editable so that it can be more friendly to the end user. Use Case Details I’m currently adding hyperlinks and friendly text both to sticky notes, but it would be nice if I could just making the hyperlink text friendly to begin with so that I don’t have to take up so much space on a sticky note.
Finer zoom levels even when scrolling The + and - buttons on the whiteboards allow finer zoom levels than when scrolling with the mouse. It would be great if you can also zoom in finer gradations with the mouse.
Hello guys, does it make sense for Miro to support linked text, markdown and other file types? I’m currently in search of a tool that would allow a team to collaborate on pieces of text to write an article. I can see that Miro supports Google Docs inline editing and it doesn’t support OneDrive inline editing (hopefully, for now), but these are complete different scenarios compared to what I’m looking for. My target scenario is as follows: The team members independently create text files modules. Then they start cross-checking, commenting and editing. Then they want to link those notes in a web / wiki style. So the previously discrepant text fragments (e.g. markdown-formatted) are aligned, grouped, linked in Miro (visual form) and can be edited both in Miro and offline (text form). The closest alternatives to this are tools like Obsidian and Roam, as far as I could find, and they are gaining traction. Please consider for implementation. In any case, thanks for the wonderful tool that you’re developing.
For me and teams, it is very important to mark person or groups using the plus signal or @ and the e-mail address and the message after mark, to be delivered to user or group mail Inbox. It is a very important feature in the asynchronous collaboration! Thanks! Marcio Eduardo.
I would like to use the PDF Extract feature in the Education version (but only possible in the FREE version?)
It could be great to split the canvas to compare things. Or maybe to lock the frames to keep it on screen all the time. That’s great when you search similar things. Or keep an idea all the long. I know visual notes can do that a bit but it’s hard to play with as the canvas.
Just as Microsoft has file “shortcuts” which allow a file to appear to be in 2 or more folders, but all shortcuts tie you back to the one and only original file, so too there is value in having one board appear to be in two or more projects. Use case: I am using projects for clients. I want to have a SWOT board for a client where team members can collaborate on the SWOT. But I also want one project that shows me all SWOT boards for all clients...vs having to go to each client project to see them.
Added features to the chat: Ability for users to share images in the chat Make the chat searchable Currently using Miro ca 8-10 hours a day for a complex project together with 5 other people. We communicate mainly via a signal chat, but would prefer to keep all our communication in Miro. However this is not possible as we need to be able to share images and for the chat to be searchable. Some other chat features that would be very nice: Ability to export the whole chat as text objects into miro (to be able to quickly organize and archive the content of a conversation.) I admitt this is probably a quite narrow use case. It would be better if the chat was more visible somehow, that unread messages appeared a little red dot like in facebook or similar. Now it’s very easy to forget about it.
Is there a way to follow a user zoomed into them? Similar to Figma. We can see what s/he is doing.
Loving the frames for allowing us to essentially run through Miro like slides. However - as we’re using the mouse for other things - it would be great to be able to use the forward and back arrows or other keyboard shortcuts to advance backwards and forwards rather than having to use the mouse. Especially if we were going to give an actual presentation at say a board meeting. Thanks
We setup an async voting session for 6 hours the other day to give folks time to vote on various ideas. Unfortunately, there were some team members were unexpectedly unavailable and asked for the voting time period to be extended until the following day. It’s possible, I just didn’t see the option but I don’t think voting sessions can be extended and it would be nice if the time period could be extended.
We use CloudApp commonly for screenshots and love to use Miro for quick mock-ups mashups of screenshots. When I copy/paste a CloudApp screen link to Miro, I want it to resolve to find the image and upload it to Miro instead of failing to load anything as it does now. Interestingly enough, links to videos work just fine. It’s just the screenshot links that don’t work properly.
I have a board we are using for a large group of team members and someone keeps deleting the name of the board (it keeps showing up as “Untitled” in my dashboard). I am sure this is unintentional, so I would like to suggest adding a lock control to lock the board information (i.e., board name, description, preview area, etc.).
When a voting session is concluded, I want a few options to transfer the results to the board: Option 1: Tag Items with votes Add a visual representation of the results that stays with the items. Right now, if I’m voting on sticky notes or cards, I manually add a tag to the cards with just the number of votes received so that they persist with the item as long as needed. Option 2: Sort items on board by votes. After tagging items, in some situations I want to visually sort the items based on number of votes, so I go in and manually re-arrange them. A button that says something like “Sort items based on session results” would be fantastic. Using that command would sort the items into a single column based on vote numbers. Items with the same number of votes would sort into a row.
