Why Alt+Drag for duplicate?

My experience is Ctrl+Drag is more common as the modifier for duplication.

Any possibility for an option to change it to Ctrl+Drag?

Coming from a lot of work in design programs such as Sketch I would say the opposite - I am most used to alt + drag to copy items.
