I'd like to use Miro on my smartphone, but the Android app has very limited access to widgets, and using a browser gives a mobile version that only lets me comment. So I tried forcing the desktop version to load, and it seems to work just fine! However, the UI becomes microscopic… At first I thought it was due to the small text size and UI scaling I've set on my phone, but changing that has no effect on Miro. The board itself is fine of course, although rendering performance is limited as expected (especially curvy lines), so far everything looks correct which is what really matters.I would like to ask to be able to enlarge the UI, including all the buttons and menus along the edge of the screen, and the popup menus like for the selected element and when double tapping to quick add (using the touch screen nav mode). I've not explored extensively yet, so I don't know how the side panels look, but if you do pick this up I will be more than happy to give more details.
This is what happened to me: I was a Non-team users on a customer’s board. Non-team users are users who were invited directly to boards (as viewers, commenters, or editors), but not to the team itself. They can access the boards but can't create their own ones. Non-team users can be seen in the list of Active users and are affected by the account's settings. The customer was on an Enterprise plan and had the "Session Idle Timeout" toggle switched on. Once this toggle is switched on, after 90 minutes of inactivity, it will force the user to log out and sign back in to continue working on the board. The problem:The “Session Idle Timeout” rule was automatically imposed on my whole account. I was logged out every 90 minutes from all boards, including my own ones.I could only “escape” from these “invasive security settings" and eliminate that unwanted behavior by leaving my customer’s team that I have been invited to. I see the benefits of a policy that enforces the stronger security settings also for external parties who are simply "non-team users" on a board owned by another account. I also see the problem, that you will (like in my case) end up with contradicting rules (auto-logout yes/no) and need to decide whos preferences to violate / ignore. The solution could be some kind of differentiated login status: I for example would be fine to separately log in to my customer's board every time I access it. I simply do not want to do the same thing EVERY TIME ON MY OWN BOARDS, as this is very inconvenient. Even if I had the option to decide on that (which I do not, as this is only on Enterprise accounts), I would not activate it. Inheriting it for my own account from simply becoming associated with someone else's account who activated this setting should not be automatic.Maybe you find a way to work this out...
It would be desirable to have the option of applying different formats for titles and subtitles to the text. Hopefully with a shortcut option. As this textbox has.
In short I would like to see a way for a team member to force/push all cursors currently hovering in a frame to the edges of that frame. I’ve been in countless meetings where the speaker has had to stop and request a user moves their cursor so they can read text sitting behind/underneath, these sessions usually don’t require the full blown presentation mode (as they’re rapidly progressing or co-creation). A quick shortcut or button to force cursors outside of the selected frame would be fantastic.
It would be nice if project admins can at least recover boards in case proper handover work wasn't done whether it be deleting an account, or the user took the time to hand over work.
When I close the Miro window in the desktop app (Mac), it’s hard to whip it up again. I have to go all the way down to my Dock (sighh...) find the Miro icon, click on it, and go all the way up again (pheww...)I know – life is hard, and I’m lazy… ;-)Something like Cmd-N would be the obvious choice. (Cmd-1 is already taken.)
At the moment the option ‘sharing custom template with the company’ is only available for ‘Enterprise-customers’. However,… we would love to have this option available for the Consultant-plan! It would be even nicer to have the ability to let the admin choose which teams can use specific custom templates.
Tool bar obscures object that is being editedIt would be great if the tool bar was floating and could be moved. It can be quite annoying when editing font or object color. :)
I wish to limit who in my account can see the list of Teams, limiting it to those in my company (and as a bonus any other domains I list as approved to browse Teams list).Currently I have Team Privacy enabled specifically because we enable external sharing (not using public links). Our internal Information Security team and I feel allowing external parties to browse Team lists as a potential security risk.Add something like the Restrict allowed domains list to the Team privacy section, allowing me to add domains. Anyone with an account in this list of domains can browse Teams.
Astonishingly, a Miro board embedded in a Confluence page using the official integration does not include any way to open the board in its own tab/window.Because the Confluence embeds are literally just the entire Miro board, with nothing removed or added to make for a more appropriate UX for the use case, the Miro logo in the corner links to the Miro homepage, not the board, which is useless. That’s it. There’s no way for even a logged-in user with access to the board to navigate from the embed to the board itself. This isn’t just a quirky inconvenience. It contributes to making the embeds useless. Aside from the inflexible sizing, which is partly an Atlassian limitation, It’s useless as a viewer because it can’t be focused to a specific frame as noted in another ticket. But this makes it useless for editing and collaboration, too. The embeds, especially on Confluence Cloud, are too small and cramped to do any editing, commenting, reviewing or anything else, really, in the embed itself. But the lack of a link to the board makes it literally impossible to even use the embed as a jumping-off point to access and collaborate on the board at all.
Hello, are there any plans to implement a Miro Extension for CMS like WordPress / Joomla or Drupal.Reason one:Whole lot of people have got their own homepage made with one of this tools can simply add their boards into their website - f.e. like:Ziteboard | Online Whiteboard with Realtime Collaborationhas got this implemented. And combined with this: There is a white-label version where I can set my logo/brand inside of the board.I asked for this maybe one and a half year ago:I would pay for such a solution, if its possible.Reason two:Because of the DSGVO in Germany this would be a cool solution. So the extension would be on my server … of course its bound with my account but this would be a good solution. Are there any plans …?Michael
The situation:Having to manually create something to identify yourself on the board. You could just have a sticky note with your name on it, but you might be using sticky notes already and would be nice to differentiate more easily. Examples:Model to show order/turn of users. A range scale / time line Could be part of a board game e.g. checkers Solution:Have an action to create your unique user counter. Contains profile picture / name / initials (similar to the user icons at the top). Unique colour combination that gets generated. Already happens for users mouse pointers Could some template colour combinations to represent different teams, in the board game scenario Mock up:
Right now it creates a Post-it for each cell, which means I either have to manually fill out each cell in Miro, or take a screenshot of the excel table. Stretch goal would be sheets integration where I can reference a miro table from Sheets data that is updated automatically.
User can add minutes to the timer that is all ready started.
Pls add smaller time limit for voting timer, i.e. seconds. Currently minimum 1minute sometimes is too long (just faced it in the meeting). Thx!
A special type of shape (Call it sticky shape) when sticky notes or objects places on top of it and can be moved around, without the need to group them.
A way to see history of individual items on the board. Such as who created it and the modification history etc., More like the similar info from activity section but accessible from the item itself.
Hopping Timer is bad UX when we need to click the button. I think it would be better to leave the timer static, maybe with some other effect surrounding it if you need to get attention more then the sound.
I would like to be able to copy and paste pieces of my mind map into a word processing tool like word/pages. Right now the only way I see to do it would be to export the whole mind map as a pdf or image, then crop that image to paste it within word. Ideally you could copy selected objects and paste them as an image in word. This would give better resolution to the figures and allow things that look much nicer than what is accessible in word to be used to illustrate certain ideas.
Hello,I definitely like many APPs and I use them. For instance the clusterizer from @Max Harper or the Dice-APP or many others.I know that many of you developers create things for your own need (company) but I also know that many of us average users of miro are interested in using APPs because they make our live easier.I like to have a choice of APPs that are now not available but I like to buy for them a yearly fee.So I like to have a real “miro-app-marketplace” where different miro app developers get the chance to offer their APPs and we miro users can buy them. What do you think about this? This really would bring the whole APP-developement and usage of them into a new direction.@Marina do you can bring this idea to the right team @mironeers Please vote for this if you like this idea … maybe one day we got something like the miroverse … miroapps-place … or however it may be called.Michael
