Hello Miro folks!I've been working more with groups using hexagonal shaped post-its and they are much more "connectable". The upshot is more effective sensemaking: clustering ideas and, as a result, generating knowledge & insights. I saw that this has been requested before and the work-around is ok but lacking functionality. When using shapes for this there are two features of post-its that are lost with this approach:1. after I type content on a post-it, i can hit tab to quickly start the next note but shapes don't work this way,2. post-its can be tagged but shapes cannot. So there are two approaches to my feature request:Either make shapes be taggable AND offer the "tab" to create another of the same shape.ORoffer a hexagonal shape. Many thanks for considering,Sue
Could there be a spacing tool that can be introduced instead of having to place each element ? Some thing like that’s there in Figma.
From an administrative perspective, Team profile page could use some more information to help admins. I’d like to be able to add a description, Team point of contact, and maybe the ability to add a custom message that someone receives if they try to access a project within a team they don’t have access to.
Since years I work with the desktop program Xara Designer Pro.Xara Designer Pro: design software for print and the webNow there is an online version on the market wich seems to be a cool integration, when it comes to picture / graphic editing:The smart way to create marketing documents that work | Xara CloudIt would be perfect if this could be available in the marketplace as an app - and maybe it finds a smooth integration into miro.Michael
This is a feature in Explain Everything. It is so useful. In this way, you might more customize photos for a variety of purposes and assembly. For example, I telling a story about an astronaut. It would be great to cut out the astronaut to move him through a photo of out space. This would be so helpful for collaborative storytelling!!
When reviewing a large board, it would be helpful to be able to “lock the entire board” to prevent changes. What I’m seeing is someone who comes into the project when many things have been fleshed out already and is trying to get familiar with the whole thing. Right now, especially when interacting with it using trackpad, my colleagues often moves things around. I don’t want to change their permissions, as they are also contributors to the board, but it would be helpful if everyone had a toggle of some sort between “lock everything and just browse” and Edit mode. The comments should still be available in this “preventing changes” mode. Not sure if such way already exists, my devs have been using the public share link in incognito mode to achieve that but it’s a bit clunky.
Hey there, Do you think we could have more timeline templates? Possibly ones that have multiple business layers/variables working on different things at the same time - but it’s part of the same project. (I hope this makes sense) Unless there’s one already that I’ve missed?
In my work as a UX/UI designer, I use a system of coloured comments that help us keep track of outstanding tasks. For example:Black = Need sign off from developers Red = Need to check/sign off with client Blue = FYI notes to keep in mind Green = Change required from UI or UX designer Yellow = General questionsSometimes the amount of comments can really mess with your workflow, and switching them on/off is quite helpful. However, I’d love to have the ability to only turn off certain comment colours, rather than all or none.
Hi! If I could place some wishes I’d like to be able to:extract pdf annotations (highlight and notes) from an imported pdf. associative linking of imported annotation to the pdf and the annotation’s location in the pdf file. associative linking to pdf instead of uploading pdfs to avoid duplications.in particular this would help me to create mind maps around pdfs and also to relate multiple pdfs and their topics.
It would be great to have dates added to mind maps, and I’ve seen project completion check boxes so you can monitor progress. That would be cool!
It would be really cool to be able to define shapes as containers, maybe similar to one by one tables. My current case is that i am making cards that are a bit more visually appealing than the built in cards. I would like to drag icons and other figures into the card. Combined with tags, emojis etc, rich text etc this would be a supernice way to group figures to “rich cards”
According the help, I can only search by board title, description, or text from any widgets, comments, sticky notes, etc. by typing a word or a phrase in the search bar. It would be great if the search is extended to read the content of the .pdf, .ppt. etc.
When a grid is locked for editing, especially when guest editors cannot unlock it, should not react to connectors or object cell insertion.
I have many long connection lines, and will be comfortable if we can union them into nodes
I often find myself on boards with many comments, struggling to find the unread ones. I have to zoom out of the board and manually search for all the unread badge icons. What I would like is to have a ‘hide read comments’ in the comments panel on the left hand side. Otherwise I have to scroll manually through this list searching for the unread dots.
It would be great to have the ability to merge cells on a grid so we can design different types of tables.
I’m a consultant sharing boards with clients with day passes and I don’t want them to see the chat history of my team that’s recorded. The workaround is to either have each team member delete each individual chat paragraph by paragraph or duplicate the board and share that which uses up boards from the allowed total. Please allow a way to clear chat history. Thanks
It would be awesome if it was possible to upload an image to Miro and it automatically slices the image to many small profile-pics of all participants of a seminar/meeting.the image could come from a screenshot from zoom-gallery-view.i would ask them to look into the camera and say “cheeese”the aim would be that all participants can find themselves on the board quickly after the start of the meeting.the participants could then move themselves (their profile pic) to frames or areas where the work together in a topic etc, indicate their interest etc.that would be very impressive! to do this manually is already possible but takes too much time to do it while the meeting is running.
Everytime I run a workshop, I insert the link to the Miro board in the calendar invite.Sometimes (most of the times actually) I want participants to go in fresh and I’ll guide them through all the data and ideas at a tempo and specific order that builds up towards the ideation part or the problem definition for example. What happens now is that participants open the board and they scan the entire board before the workshop starts. I don’t want that to happen.Would it be possible to create a waiting room for participants, where they can insert their name and maybe some background waiting music? They can’t access the board unless I choose to start the workshop. Some examples from another tool, called Butter:
As a user I would like to click on tags icon and start typing right away. What happens now is that if I forget to click on the text area I’ll trigger shortcuts and exit the tags feature having to start all over again. Please activate the tags text area by default when clicking on tags icon. Also, a shortcut to access the function would be really helpful (I couldn’t find it if already exists).Thank you
