The way image editing works today is kind of backwards compared to how it usually works:Cropping the image is pretty straightforward. You click the crop icon and edit the crop. But what about if you want to keep the size and aspect ratio of the image but change what part of the image is in the visible frame? That’s messy, because the image is “static” within the frame – it’s the actual frame that’s manipulated when changing crop.Replacing a cropped image with another image is when things become really messy… Because when you do, the new image is automatically cropped and it’s really difficult to edit it the way you want. I would love to have a way of editing images similar to the way it’s handled in Canva or Keynote (or even Power Point), where you can have a specific size of the frame and change what fits into that frame.
Hi,In the security settings there are two options for the session idle timeout: 30 minutes, and infinite.Unfortunately, both of these values are not satisfactory. 30 minutes is too short, it ends up annoying users. Not having a timeout at all is great for usability, but increases the risk of unauthorized access. I would like to suggest a third option there, which is to require users to login just once a day. Or, alternatively, permit custom values in minutes / hours / days. Thanks in advance.
Hi all,I think it would be very effective to have the possibility to see all my liked boards in Miroverse. Like boomarking/creating a favourite list in Miroverse. That would allow me to do some broader research first and then get into depth when having all my liked boards at one place.Thank you,Bodo
It would be nice to be able to sort the teams, like in an alphabetical way, or amount of boards, users. Now the sort order on page [https://miro.com/app/settings/company] is unclear and it appears to be “jazzy”.When you have a great amount of teams, being able to sort the data would sure come in handy. The [Active users] page (https://miro.com/app/settings/company/##########/users) has an option to sort the users so I wonder why the Teams page does not have this option (yet?).Thank you for picking this up.
Hey, it would be great if the “align mechanism” would also work when in crop-mode for imported images. Thanks. I love Miro, best tool ever!
When cropping an image, it would be helpful if the moving handles snapped to nearby objects like resize does for example
please release Japanese version Miro will be more popular in Japan
Would love to see the ability to create and reuse styling presets for elements on the board. Right now if I want to have a consistent and clean board (and who doesn’t) I have to spend a considerable amount of time fixing styles on elements, especially if color or stroke type have a meaning on the board and so could cause confusion if they’re wrong.Take as an example the Flowchart template that comes with Miro. It’s beautiful. But as you work on it there is no way to reuse those styles Miro already set up. So instead it takes considerable time to fiddle with the shapes and get them all styled.True Miro does remember your last used style for e.g. shapes or connectors. But when you’re using multiple colors or stroke styles to communicate meaning (dotted line for async process, different colors for different zones, etc) this becomes less useful. As a workaround I tend to copy example shapes and lines off to the side of my document and copy/paste them - but then I can’t use Miro’s awesome fast workflows like dragging a line from one shape to create a new shape. Very Clunky.
I'm missing something like a general history of recently opened boards, regardless of what organization/team it belongs to or what way it was shared with me. Currently the only way to reach these non-team boards or save those for later use is to star them.It would be good to have a view on the Miro dashboard where I can see my recently used boards.Something like this:
The diagrams I create in Miro go on to be included in presentations, and are often annotated using sticky notes. It seems possible only to assign one format to all of the text in a note. It would be nice to be able to format arbitrary text (e.g., emphasizing this selection).
Please add a second callout shape - one that can be used to the left of the object. Use case → I want to have a callout for an object that is the very last step/object in my frame and don’t want to have to make the frame even bigger, just to accommodate the only existing (right) callout.
Callouts should have their tail moveable, resizable and connectable.
I use LucidChart for diagramming and I really like the ability to right-click and drag my mouse to navigate the canvas. Miro’s Navigation mode selection is a bit confusing in comparison.
When can I get certified as a Miro Specialist or Miro Admin or Miro Project Manager?
It’s really restrictive that only the board owner is able to download a backup. Could you look at either of the following options:the Miro administrator is able to backup any board a board owner is able to add other users to be an owner (i.e. a board can then have more than 1 owner). We have a team member on extended leave and are unable to backup some boards in their absence. Also concerned about what happens if someone leaves the organisation.
I use the Mac desktop app a lot, and it has no way that I can discern to either reorder tabs or navigate among them with the keyboard. It would be really helpful if it could just use the standard system UI affordances for managing tabs.
I am making manual backup of our boards once in a while. We have more than 100 boards, so it takes a lot of time, and as I am not the administrator of all boards, I need to ping other people to backup their boards. This is VERY tedious. Instead of backup, I would prefer Version History. If I was able to see old versions of boards, then there would be no need for backup. A ‘Restore this version’ button would be nice, but I can live with copying the content if necessary. If there is a challenge with storage and performance because Miro saves changes individually, then consider bundling changes. A version stored every 10th or 30th minute would be sufficient. Then I will never loose that much work. I have read through the community posts and it looks like there are many users wishing for a better backup/version history solution. If this is a duplicate of another Idea, please let me know.
